Oldham, Blackpool & Bury have enquired about taking Burnley striker Dan Agyei on loan #OAFC #BlackpoolFC #buryfc
He has played in preseason for burnley and also morecambe. I guess they might also be keen and maybe top of list.

Be very interested to see how he does at this level. He's one of our youth products who Burnley took at the start of last season for an undisclosed but apparently quite decent fee. Chelsea and Palace were also sniffing around him and he would probably have been well in contention for a starting place with us last season.

What type of striker is he?

Kyel Reid confirmed on 2 year deal
Surprised he's joined a top end L1 team, he's just too inconsistent but comes across as a good guy and certainly played his part for us over the last few years

Meanwhile with us desperately short of bodies and a first team squad of 19, including centre back Branco who went off injured last night we have signed................

Nobody, not a sausage, not a sole, the square root of fuckall. This is despite manager Luke Williams hoping we'd have 'at least one, maybe two' by the Swansea friendly, which has come and gone. And no triallists, which is surely the point of pre-season friendlies?

Our current first 11 is just about passable but the bench is laden with kids. If god forbid Obika, Nathan Thompson and Kasim were to get injured we would be in deep shit without a fly swat.

Lee Power really needs to get his finger out and fast, I have tried to be patient and still hope he might be able to pull some rabbits from some premier league hats, but its starting to look bleak down the County Ground.

You signed Conor Thomas off us, so that's at least one player

Strong and direct but also skillful. Good with ball at feet for a bigish striker. Was one of our best youth products and as ever we lost him to a bigger club. Still at least we made some money.

We have signed a keeper, Conor Thomas and Goddard from Woking yonks ago but since then, the 5 or 6 bodies we desperately need haven't arrived.

Thomas never played on Wednesday with injury so I have no idea if he'll be any use or not.

Billy big bollocks.

He'll get slaughtered if he plays at our place this season after the way he treated the club.

Any talent to justify that kind of an attitude or just an over-paid young lad with pound signs in his eyes?

Written in the stars for him to score after the entire Bradshaw/Woods thing over the last few years.

Reading the chairmans tweets sounds like a Pope return may happen but has been delayed because Bury have lost Clarke.

It will happen! Might be after the season starts but he will be moving back to Vale. Unless someone has a dramatic change of mind.

I have long awaited the return of tap-in Tommy

Btw you could offer Bury a dust bin lid and five sausage rolls and you'd sign a player of theirs

Can I have your opinion of Robbie Weir please? He is our new captain!
Robbie is a good professional and as with most players he didn't want to leave the Albion. His best spell with us was when he played defensive midfield in front of the back four. He is a decent player and will certainly get stuck in, his bookings and sending off totals are testimony to that although some of those reds were extremely harsh. He will give you 100% commitment. A likeable fella with an extremely broad Northern Irish accent !
A lot of fans were sad to see him go but now realise having seen the players who have come in that it was the right decision, the Championship is maybe a step too far for him but he will do a good job for you in league 2.

Sounds like we agreed a fee for Morsy but he doesn't want to drop to league one. Shame but we move on.

Rules us out as well then I guess, could be worse. Could sign JCR instead, oh wait...

The rumour goes that he turned you down at the end of last week, was weighing up our offer but played well in their pre-season Monday and decided to stay and fight for his place and Wigan aren't going to force him out.

JCR wouldn't be the worst signing to have coming off the bench, offers something different and is generally decent as sub...but strangely one of those who can't do the same when starting.

I'd be massively underwhelmed with JCR.

He offered so much promise coming through the ranks, he was one that people were excited about early on before he eventually broke into the first team.

Great with running with the ball and beating players but crossing/final ball was awful and didn't score many goals either. I can't imagine his end product has improved that much and now more than 10 years on I would guess he's lost some of that pace and ability to pass players which was his main asset.

I can't remember who he was playing for but he came on as a sub at the CG and I was worried as he seemed a tricky player. What you have said, sums him up perfectly. He is still no slouch, but was about as dangerous as a polystyrene hammer.

That will solve our goalscoring crisis considering his fantastic record at L1 level

Any use from the meagre pre-season games to be able to judge?

I've not been to any games as I don't have the money for Vale so my judgement has to come from the Vale forum and based on what has been seen so far, they are all shit and we are going to be relegated by Christmas

Yet were jizzing when we signed Forrester! Hooper is my big hope for the season, although Saleiro seems to be the one Smurf is backing to do well but hes only played 30 minutes so far.

So he's quite good then?

Not like us to pay a fee for anyone really.

He's very good, strong tackler and loves to run forward with the ball. But honestly I can't see us letting him go for anything less that £50K or maybe even £70K.

An ITK on our forum says we couldn't afford Agard's wages, Matthew Kilgallon also mentioned although I would've said central defence is our most covered position

A 14th signing to be unveiled at 2PM. Hopefully not a midfielder as we have 1000's so a full back or more ideally a striker surely!

An unsubstantiated rumour on our forum to say JET could join us.

Could probably do a job in league one. Absolutely awful in the championship.
