I don't think anyone has any objection to MK spending money fwiw, just your manager pleading poverty when he can sign players that the likes of Notts can only dream of is... grating.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I wouldn't even try and pretend MK Dons have a ridiculously over-expensive squad (like Bristol City :fish:) - it's not a particularly big squad, there's no clear massive earners and all fees spent seem to be solid 6 figure sums and no more (I imagine loan fees are a bit of an expense though).

...but Robbo literally uses the word 'shoe-string' without any sense of shame. I simply can't abide that, it's completely brainless in the context of the entire division.

According to our chief exec we have a top 6 budget.

That's a genuinely bizarre claim. I'd actually be insulted if I was a Coventry fan and the chief exec tried to tell me that...surely he didn't?!

Most of us just laugh it off Rb, it's sadly just one of his stock quotes that he roles out when the pressure is on, embrace it - we do, you'll feel better for it .

In a statement released after we sacked Pressley.

'I know the question will be raised about the ‘backing’ he has had from the club but our budget (money spent on players’ wages both permanent and loan) is up there in the top six for this division.'

Joe Walsh from Crawley set to be announced tomorrow,

Also, an as yet un-named Prem striker on loan.

Both loans with option to buy in the summer.

Out of interest. Did Karl offer them Bovril vouchers or nice biscuits as wages? How on earth has he managed to bring yet another 2 players in on peanuts?

Joe Walsh is really good. That budget, though.

So 2 players won't even get on the bench. Imagine one will be Andrews and he will stick to coaching, no idea about the other though.

Proschwitz is awful, I wouldn't want him if we were in league two.

He's fucking terrible.

We have enough strikers, don't really get it.

Bowery is probably decent enough at this level. Plus he has a bit of pace which we really lack

Forgot about them actually, possibly above Peterborough who don't appear to have that many big earners these days.

Our earners are small, they have a lot of bonuses should they do well though, which isn't really a problem this season since they're all fucking wank.

We have two strikers, no idea how that equates to 'enough'. I'd have Bowery, he's another player who made a ridiculous move to the Premiership despite the fact he was never ever going to be good enough for that level - in League 1 I'd like to think his flaws would be masked a bit more.

Bajner, Thompson, Murray, Daniels, Bishop.

I guess if Murray/Daniels' injuries are bad and Bishop is back in the youth team for good it makes sense. I do think that we've been pissing around way too much upfront all season though, need to give someone a solid run of 10 games whether it's as a one or a two and allow some kind of understanding to develop.

You've kind of answered your own question regarding Bishop, Murray and Daniels (the latter isn't even a striker) - I don't think Bajner, Thompson, Bowery and Murray would be any sort of unnecessary glut of strikers - especially given Thompson's versatility (I'm already assuming JCR will go back after a month).

I'll be honest and admit I don't rate Garry Thompson either so that maybe skews my opinion a bit more - and I've moved further away from thinking Murray will be the answer this season too, we should've loaned him out to Mansfield or something for a month or two when we were doing ok and he wasn't in the team.

I think Thompson is actually really good upfront but pretty poor when playing out wide.
