According to the Pete O'Rourke who is usually relatively reliable we (Bristol Rovers) and Northampton are interested in Hiram Boateng from Crystal Palace on loan. Impressed last season at Plymouth in centre midfield.

If we didn't have 18 midfielders I would like him at ours.

One of our few experienced players, Andy Rose, has been linked with a move to Adelaide United in the Aussie press. Wouldn't make any sense unless he was unsettled over here.

We've signed Michael Doughty on season long loan from QPR. He was quality for us last season.

You made a good signing yesterday, every team in this league is gonna be selling players.

16 have left and we have 3 long term injuries.

We have signed 6. We are in desperate need of at least 5 more incomings and here we are selling another first teamer the day before the season starts.

No he didn't we still got relegated and he started dropping our best player!

Plus he had a toxic attitude and was supposedly hated by everyone at the club. Was very happy to see the back of him.

Why was he offered a 4 year deal then? Your chairman rates him aswell.

Looks like it, that's the noises coming out of West London. Don't really know how to feel about this one. We desperately needed another forward though so, happy, I guess.

You are seriously mentally ill.

Hi Mr Teeth. Please explain why.

Did you see our team in league one? We were challenging for the play offs and would have only got better. That is not an opinion. That is a fact.

He is one of the highest qualified managers outside the prem, again, a fact, not an opinion.

And hence these qualifications, he would be managing in league one,

Thanks for your time.

Just because you can't face facts you lower yourself to abuse.

Viva Jim Gannon.

I do like that someone who was barely in their early teens during those Stockport County Golden Years can say with absolute certainty that Gannon would have got them up for DEFOS if not for admin. For starters, that squad was hyped to the moon and back by Stockport fans at the time, but only Tommy Rowe and Antony Pilkington made it beyond this level and only the latter actually achieved anything in that time. Additionally, the side that briefly crashed the top six was inconsistent and never staked a solid claim on a top six position even before the admin business reared its ugly head.

For added context, Leicester City won the league that season and Posh with CMS, Boyd and McLean finished 2nd. The following season, Norwich City and Leeds United went up automatically, we beat a Swindon Town side containing Charlie Austin to win the play-offs at Wembley, and Charlton Athletic and moneybags Huddersfield finished in the top six.

When exactly was Gannon going to mastermind this impressive League One promotion feat?

Owain Fon Williams, Michael Raynes, Johnny Mullins, Michael Rose, Stephen Gleeson, Dominic Blizzard, Anthony Elding, Carl Baker...

Obviously some of those players aren't championship players, but at the time they were good league one players at a good age that went on to had decent football league careers, if we didn't go in admin we would have finished 10th and would have kicked on from there.

We (as a League Two side at the time) beat you in the cup that season. You can't have been that good.

Would be a great signing, how he hasnt left league 2 already is beyond me.
Never really rated Simpson since his time with us. Just seemed a player without any particular 'stand-out' feature to me. Not quick, not strong, not skillful and not a particularly good finisher. How he scored so many last season I have no idea!

Where are these noises coming from? He's a bit of a genius at this level, but he isn't a centre back which we actually need.

Really, is that a fact? Because these players...

Owain Fon Williams, Michael Raynes, Johnny Mullins, Michael Rose, Stephen Gleeson, Dominic Blizzard, Anthony Elding, Carl Baker...

...went on to do not very much at all. In fact, bar Baker, most of them barely even managed to succeed in this league, and Gleeson was never yours to begin with.

He is one of the highest qualified managers outside the prem, again, a fact, not an opinion.

And hence these qualifications, he would be managing in league one,

Jim Gannon holds a UEFA Pro License. The highest-level coaching qualification in Europe. Do you know who else has that qualification?

Simon Davey
Alan Knill
Iffy Onuora
Leroy Rosenior
Willie Donachie
Nigel Spackman
Ian McParland
Paul Brush
Paul Simpson
Wally Downes

He's in good company there.

Had a poor 2nd spell but I liked him in his first spell (nearly a decade ago now!) and I certainly wouldn't say he was neither quick nor strong! He was built like a tank and often outpaced his man. His problem was that he had very little footballing intelligence. His movement was so poor, he could only really create chances for himself and he wasn't really that talented in that respect either.

The simple fact of the matter is, if Jim Gannon was as good as this deluded SCFC fan thinks surely he would be managing at a higher level than the National League North with a semi-pro club?
