We had him on trial in pre-season and didn't impress by all accounts.
Interesting to note that. Obviously it's unfair/harsh to judge any player based purely on performances during pre-season but it is intriguing that a fellow League One side decided he wasn't worth pursuing.

We really have needed proper competition for the number one jersey for a while so it'll be interesting to see if Darrell Clarke goes for Roos or sticks with Mildenhall.

Just pure rumour/conjecture and players being linked with clubs who needs player in certain positions that.

He hasn't been very good this season and is questionably fit.

I'd be surprised if he left this window and if anyone does offer £2m odd for him, I'd cash in and take the add-ons.

I've just heard from a mate that there's a sniff of us signing Adam Armstrong on loan.

Awesome if any truth in it.

Be quite shocked if he ended up here but Power likes a last minute quality signing.

This one is entirely down to Newcastle though, imagine every club in this league would love him.

From what I was told it's either us or Bradford City

I've also heard Coventry, Rotherham and Brentford.

Newcastle don't want to loan to a rival in the Championship

It was the lead story in our paper yesterday that Armstrong is our number one target, I think Cov said there are at least a dozen clubs after him, of the linked teams I would say Rotherham are the most likely - Championship side that won't trouble the top of the table

Why would Armstrong go back into L1? Not having a dig at any of the clubs, but he tore it up at Cov last season. You'd think a January loan to lower Champ team would be ideal..

Well if Swindon have a chance, we should be in. We don't really have a goalscorer.

We have enquired about Armstrong but Newcastle said ideally looking at Championship so Smurf has left it at that according to the chairman himself so would expect Rotherham be number 1 in line.

If Judge goes to Newcastle, or an agreement is reached regarding him going there when fit, Armstrong could end up at Brentford as part of a deal.

With James Vaughan joining Bury it will likely open the door to the return of the Pontiff to Vale I dare say as our striker. Was looked at but Leon Clarke leaving closed the door on it so imagine Smurf will go back in.

Methinks you're in for a very touchy season.

We've now signed Swansea full-back Connor Roberts on a six-month loan.

He got Player of the Year at Yeovil last season and seems highly rated, so I'm happy enough with this addition. He is right footed I believe and I have a feeling that before long he will be our first choice right wing-back ahead of Leadbitter, who has started the season poorly IMO.

Said that about Josh Cullen dropping down to us and then he did. Guess it's down to location, how much money they can get for him in loan fees, style of football, which club feels right for the player etc. Plus Armstrong will be first choice starter at any L1 club on merit. If he has a couple of shite games for Rotherham when they are battling to stay up he will be more likely to get benched.

We're more interested in Gregory again.

We won't sign Armstrong.
