The Shop reunites with Hurst at Shrewsbury....... unless he has improved a hell of a lot in 2 years then that is a big mistake, his all round play is good enough but his finishing is Conference standard.

How did he do for you?
By the time he left here I think he had grown on most of us because his overall game (bar finishing) was so good, but then when he's through one on one you had your eyes behind your fingers just praying for the best.
He was the sort of player that when he left for Newport I would have been happy if he had stayed, but also wasn't bothered at all when he went.

He wasn't great at all but he tried to do his best tbf. He didn't look too bad in League 2 but was totally out of his depth in league 1. His song will be remembered more than his performances on the pitch.

I'm fairly sure he's backup to Morison, as the only other target man we have is a 21 year old fresh from level 9 or 10 (but has impressed).
Meredith on the other hand will go straight into the team I think.
Happy with both tbh, signing the 'best' players from this league has to be a better way to go than throwing millions at teams from Europe as the rest of the Championship seems to be doing.

Meredith is a clear step up in quality on Martin and I can only guess Elliot will be our fourth striking option once we bring another in (probably on loan).

Also linked heavily with Southend's Ryan Leonard, though Sheff United are also interested. Him, Wallace and Cooper sign and that's the bulk of our business done, IMO. I'd be pleased with that, too.

Elliot will do a decent job if given the chance...Millwall could've done much worse...

Meredith's a good defender and will get Millwall on the front foot going forward. He has zero end product but if he did he'd be playing far higher than where he is.

It's a probably a better deal for Millwall than for him, interesting that his agent was saying he was close to Reading, Norwich and Leeds at Christmas, guess it was classic agent bollocks.

Can't say I'd be bothered at all if McMahon went as apart from his delivery he is bang average. But he'd be better suited firing free kicks and corners in to the giants of Bolton so might be an alright signing for them. Meredith is the far better signing, bet Parky's miffed he missed out on him.

In the championship? Elliot was bang average season before last and only decent for 6 months of last season. So 6 good ish months in 2 years. Milwall could and should have done a lot better.

Reece Brown joins Rochfail, not a bad signing but not a good one either.
Dunno. At the worst, gives right-sided defensive cover. And may improve greatly, like Andrew/Bunney/Henderson/Vincenti et al.

McMahon would get torn a new one every game in the Championship. Very surprised to see that clubs from that level are in for him.

Wouldn't imagine anyone else other than Bolton would be interested. The Parky game plan will be the same for them in the Champ, defend well and rely on players like Morais and McMahon to provide goals from set pieces.

Probably why the only out of contract player of ours he's not going to try and sign is Marshall because he blatantly misused him.

Bury, Burton and Shrewsbury are being linked with Chesterfield's Kristian Dennis

We're also linked with a move for Blackpools Tom Aldred but I doubt that now Blackpool have been promoted.

Just noticed he's out of contract so might be more to it.

A very good L2 player and had less impact last season but started the season with a major injury which held him back. I suspect he will become a good L1 player in the right team.

Strengths: If allowed an attacking role, will get in the area and score plenty for a midfielder (22 or 23 in a 100 odd appearances). Will add a lot of energy to midfield and will keep running all game giving 100%.

Weaknesses: Poor 1st touch and as we found out, can have a public tantrum when not picked in the starting XI (for the Wembley final). It is rumoured he disrespected the other players/manager privately as well which peed them off. This is why he was available.

I wish him well for the future especially after his performances in our L2 promotion (obviously just not against us).

Always struck me as a decent player, good record from midfield in terms of goals and a decent turn of pace.

Can see him fighting out with Lines in CM, a position we're pretty stacked in now, with Ollie Clarke in the other slot and if DC is going after the 10 players he mentioned on the radio, we may have another one in there too. Need to press on with GK, CB and Strikers though, as well as a few others, before we can tell where we are aiming for this season. Encouraging to not be looking at all free signings however.
