Engine on him, doesn't score a lot (got a half dozen last year but was on pens). He won't win player of the year for you but you'll find him a solid part of your team if that makes sense. Just hope he isn't going for the relegation hatrick!!!

You have a very good CB there. We offered him a two year deal which is very unusual for us but shows how much we wanted him to stay. No surprise he turned it down as several clubs were interested and pretty much anywhere is a better option than us at the moment.

I agree, I think it's a fine signing. Several twitterers/twatters/people on twitter seem to think Remi Streete is a possibility in the next week or so as well - good to see us at least trying to sort out our major weak point early on.

Excellent player. Somewhat over-committed at times. Been played as a CB in a 3 at the back for us, but much better as a RB.

You'll be lucky if you get him - there a few after him as he's out of contract. Been a bit injury prone this season.

Not a new transfer, but a tribunal has settled the fee for our youth keeper Will Mannion who was whisked off by Hull last summer.

£100K up front, up to another £125K based on appearances, up to £225K for an international cap and 20% of any sell-on. Even the up front isn't bad I suppose for an 18-year-old who didn't get anywhere near the first team squad.

Because he's been backed in by punters? I reckon people are guessing, we've still not made any approach for him. Think we've done the Cook Wigan argument to death on another thread anyway. Any news our end has been non existent, our local media as usual know absolutely nothing, The only reason we found out about McClaren is when he came from nowhere to be the bookies favourite, most likely when we made contact with him.

When John Terry leaves Chelsea, Lewie will be the number 1 in terms of the highest number of appearances for a single club (641) of all currently active players in all leagues.
