Graham Carey is off the the Championship but not confirmed which club yet, but is just finalising a deal. A replacement is needed in that position and will take some work to replace him

Yep the guy on our forum who is very very seldom wrong and must either be or have some kind of source has posted confirming he's off to Championship and we'll know in the next week. A shame but expected. Cheers for a good 2 years!

Carey said he wanted to get us out of league 2 before he left. Fair play to him, he did exactly that. Class player. Wish him all the best if he does leave

We're after Darren Pratley.

Then a midfielder and a centre half from SPL who are both under contract. Guesses would be Rob Kiernan from Rangers seems free to leave and impressed here on loan before. Midfielders probably both from Rangers I'd guess Harry Forrester or Michael O'Halloran their time at Rangers looks to be up. Charlton linked with Forrester also.

If you are referring to whom I think, I am pretty sure he is an agent.

What I assume has been happening is that Carey has kept our offer as a fall back with the hope he can get a Championship team and a lot more dosh. Which is a perfectly reasonable tactic.

Quick one for Bristol Rovers fans.

Someone on Exeweb has just posted that he's heard from his Rovers supporting mates that you will be signing David Wheeler from us for £600k next week.

Don't mean to be rude but are you that well off to shell out such big fees? I believe Wheeler lives in Bristol so not an unbelievable story I guess and £600k would be in the area that we'd most likely want for him.

Hope to be wrong but I'm not buying it, id probably be surprised if we spent that much over the entire window! We'd spent around £150,000 on Sercombe, we want roughly 10 other players, that would take outlay to £750k and we still need plenty more, just don't see it.

Only slight thing I could imagine would be the £300k from Taylor plus some youth players sold previously, added with the money from the Chelsea game. But I'd only have to imagine that every other signing would be the usual free agent type. Even then it's a long shot

Yeah it sounds like a heck of an outlay if you're looking to bring in that many new players.

The person on Exeweb has posted again to say the info has come from a kit man at Rovers via his friends, which sounds a bit unrealistic, but not impossible.

No chance of 600 K -- Now if you stated 60 K it would be more believable.

Tabled a six-figure bid for Hamilton's Ali Crawford - along with Forest and Wigan (apparently)!

Don't know anything about him, other than he has an eye for goal from midfield.

Good enough for the championship?

Our leading goalscorer and assister last season winning us 33 points alone. That was with his standard 3 month dry patch over winter too.

He's undoubtedly good enough technically and work rate wise, if whoever his new manager is can get the consistency they'll have a gem.

Sky are reporting that we're set to sign Mark Gillespie on a 2 year deal.

Reports from the Carlisle fans don't look great, hit and miss with a few clangers thrown in. Similar to Etheridge and O'Donnell though and I trust cutler.

Cody McDonald is allegedly having a medical at 'a SE' club. Possibly Wimbledon. I think more likely to be a League Two club.

Been linked with colchester s wouldnt be suprised if it was them, will be gutted if he goes but no doubt he'll get a longer deal elsewhere

Apparently it's not Colchester, nor is it Ebbsfleet.

Rory McArdle on a three year deal. Strangely long contract but a good signing.

3 years, wow. Sad to see him go? Of course, he's been fanstastic for us and he'll be a great signing for Scunny, but three years? No chance, they're welcome to him for that long. All the best to him though, he'll get a great reception when he comes back leaving behind some brilliant memories during his time here.

Will score 10 or so at League One level, best days well behind him unfortunately. Not particularly quick anymore, not great in the air and misses one on ones for fun. Still much loved though. Will infuriate by giving away fouling his man in more or less every aerial challenge.

Not heard anything about the return of Williams. Joe Lumley looks to be coming back to us ( here's hoping) nothing on Sweeney yet unfortunately. The Madden stuff has gone ominously quiet too.

Rochdale fans, talk to me about Peter Vincenti. I was under the impression that he's very decent, why have you let him go?
