For me, Wallace was our stand-out player last season. He has proved to be very good at L1 level after being let go from Championship side Huddersfield. He has some Championship experience, but not really as 1st choice CB. He is 24 yr old and ambitious (Scotland) and might make it at Championship level, if given the chance. He's known, as a Premier League scout told me, but there is a question mark about his distribution when under pressure. Technical stuff, but the scout was adamant. I have seen it on occasions, but it is not common. How many millions have you bid? :£

I've heard you're after £2m, I'd guess we would have to hope the player might hand in a transfer request to do some negotiating.

Rumours of spurs youngster Luke Mcgee (GK) to Pompey on loan, which is good as we don't currently have any keepers other than a youngster.

Set to announce two players tomorrow - both with fees in excess of 6 figures.

On the other hand, we're being linked with Josh Law and Paul Taylor, which would be very uninspiring signings.

Graham Carey's name being mentioned a lot.

We are hoping to make 2 new signings this week. CB and a midfielder, not many rumours on who though.

Scott Laird leaves the club by mutual consent.

Fantastic news, getting his massive wages rid of is good. Looks like he's heading to Forest Green.

Have signed Tariqe Fosu from Reading on a two year deal. Know nothing about him other than he's apparently a 'highly rated youngster'.

Very average for us last season. Impressed in patches and looked decent in his first couple of cameos, absolutely invisible for most of the season and then looked decent in the last couple of games.

Everyone was fawning over him at the end of the season and wanting to bring him back because he'd had a couple of decent games, but he wasn't particularly impressive for most of his time here.

Cheers, I notice that his goal return wasn't exactly impressive either.

Still, he's still just 21 so plenty of room for improvement and credit where it's due, Robinson is usually quite good with youngsters so we shall see.

Would be disappointed if he took the side ways step to yourselves that's for sure, I'd like to think we'd match anyone in L1 for him. I'm expecting him to be off to a Championship club - Shef Weds have been mentioned a few times.

Even though there are question marks over his consistency and he needs to prove himself higher than L2 there is undoubted class there. We resigned to him leaving a while back but to another L1 club would be a stinger.

Fiacre Kelleher signs for Oxford. 21 year old, 6ft 5 right footed CB from Celtic. Played 25 games on loan at Peterhead last season. I imagine he will be behind; Nelson, Martin and Raglan.

I suspect he could become a bit of a cult here at Pompey as he'll always give 100% for you. I hope he does really well. Loves a tackle. Also has this annoying habit of waiting for the slightest of touches from the striker when shepherding the ball out of play and then diving on the ball. He always seems to get the decision as well!

Can't say I've ever heard of him, need a left back though, suppose if he was any good Charlton would've kept him on?

It could be absolute bollocks, it's just a rumour at the end of the day.

Although, I'm not sure about the sidewards move comment - the last time I heard that from an opposition fan was when James Meredith made his move to VP from York. They had just been promoted from conference and was claiming it was sidewards move given they were in the same league at the time... and we all know what happened from there.

Although we have lost a number of key players already, we're a club improving year on year, and are unlucky not to be playing in the Championship next season.

As far as wages are concerned, who knows what either club has to offer, but I'd like to think sometimes it's not all about that.

If there were any genuine interest from Champ clubs, he would've signed by now IMO.

Decent enough I would say at this level.

Most Charlton fans are surprised that we let him go, and in my opinion is a better option than our current LB, Lewis Page. As said, not spectacular but decent enough in that position and chipped in with a couple of goals also. Will probably suit the way you play.

For no fee, you could do a lot worse.

It's 1-1 with us and Charlton, we somehow managed to sell them Clarke for actual money but then they took Marshall. This lad is the decider.

Ricky Holmes is next to give the mighty bantams a marginal victory! ;)

We've had him on loan twice 1st time he was a class above what we had so was very happy when he signed a 2nd time but he was truly awful when he returned

Chicksen is ok. A definite downgrade from Meredith for Bradford.

Tell you something, if you signed Ricky Holmes that's not a marginal victory it's a bloody walkover.
No chance of us getting him.

Is he definitely leaving? I heard Sheffield United were interested.

Probably but hope not.

Sheffield United have already had a bid rejected. We've offered him an improved contract but he's currently in Barcelona on holiday so I'm sure all will become clearer when he returns.

No matter what business we do this summer, if we fail to keep Holmes and build a team around him it will all be pointless.

Meredith was with us for years before he became the player he was. And even then he had massive flaws, e.g. his end product. Agree it with the idea he will be a downgrade but pretty much anyone we signed would have been a downgrade.
