I rate him too, when he's interested. The infuriating thing is he could be a much better player than Keiffer Moore if he just tried. He's as strong as an Ox, and a Blackburn defender who blocked his shot late on will testify how hard a shot he has. To see him waste his talent since we signed him has been a total shame.

Warne gave him a start in the first game of Moore's 3 game suspension and he just strolled about until he got subbed, then back on the bench

I don’t think it’s a case of not being able to afford his wages it’s more a case of not being able to justify the percentage Newcastle are wanting someone to contribute.

No League One midfielder is going for £5m and he will only have a year left next season won't he? Probably won't sign a new deal if you go up and struggle again. We wouldn't pay over a million for him though, you're right.

Yes it is! That's half a mil a year most teams salaries are around £2.5-3 mil. And Pompey fans think they don't have a high budget, bet you're top 6.

Bolton is also being mentioned for Toums, pretty sure the game on Saturday against Bury will the last I see him in green. Going to you would also be a logical move for him, in fact more logical than Bolton. Though as SERNWA has pointed out that you have the best midfield in the league would there be room for him?

Only he’s not a L1 player, neither is Powell, and neither was Yanic two years ago. I called at the time that Yanic would go for big money and as long as whoever is calling the transfer shots at the club doesn’t balls it up, I’m calling the same with Morsy, he’s a class act and will hopefully have the opportunity to show himself off further at the World Cup which I then think will lead to us selling him. Not sure about his contract situation though. You say no L1 midfielder will go for £5m, I hope you’re right as that’ll mean Nick Powell won’t be going to Villa this month.

Sounds like Ipswich and Moore’s agent are pimping him out for the best fee and biggest wages. I hope we stay clear for that reason, he’s not proven anywhere near enough to be worth 10k a week. To be honest if I was given the option of no signings but we keep all our best players, I’d take it. A winger and striker would be nice, but not if it means selling a Powell or Morsy to balance the books. We’ll get promoted with this squad, but selling a top player to provide more depth would be a dangerous gamble.
