Robbie Blake - one of our coaches was at the Reading - Stevenage game. Apparently looking at Matt Godden of Stevenage. Would make sense as we let Main go, , Pitman is struggling a little bit with the heavy pitches, Injuries mean Hawkins is having to play at Centre back and Chaplin is finding it tough in league one. Could be rubbish as we were linked with him in the summer

Thought he was off to Hull for 2.5million for some reason. Not sure where I read it though. So many parady twitter accounts around, difficult to know what is fact sometimes.
Our chairman has said he isn't for sale, to go back on that now will mean serious discontent among the fans just can't see it. I've heard he's going all over the shop so far, but there hasn't actually been a bid. Plus he struggles to play the lone striker role which won't have gone unnoticed given how many like to play 4-2-3-1 these days. For that reason alone and the fact he will be in to the last year of his contract in the summer I doubt any championship club would pay anywhere near that.

He had all but signed for us in the summer.

Had a medical etc, was due to put pen to paper before our hierarchy moved the goal posts. Charlton fan too I believe.

Obviously, he's gone on to score more goals again this season and likely to join a play-off rival. :hb:

We had Franck Moussa, Rhys Murphy and Navid Nasseri on trial last night in our Kent Senior Cup game against a team whose name I now forget...Murphy scored. I doubt we'll see any of them again.

Moussa looked decent worth another look
Murphy looked ok but seemed to play where ever he wanted at times as for nasseri didn't really get much game time but didn't look great.

Rumoured to also be in for pett from Stevenage

Any legs in the rumour that Bradford have made an offer for Andy Cook?

We’ve submitted bids for loads of players, so yes, this is highly likely.

Happy with Mellor will add much needed height and League 2 team of the year last season, plus he can't be any worse than Tony the not so agile tiger defensively even if it isn't his strongest asset. Let him fuck off to Scunthorpe, especially if the racism rumours are true.

Think he found his metier at Blackpool: named in the League 2 team of the year last year. Whereas in the previous year with us he was the boo-boy that fans love to blame. He actually was good going forward and scored some cracking and important goals. But it was perceived that he was a calamity in waiting in defence. Yet at Blackpool he appears to have been good defensively. Suggests a) that he has developed and improved and b)we were the wrong team for him. Good luck to the bloke.

Having lost our midfield hardman and had two of strikers out on loan we are in negotiations apparently to take a Bristol City defender Vak Zymer for the rest of the season. Bit strange really did not know we had space there, though I believe one of our backup CBs, Sokolik, may be moving on.

I'd be surprised if we are interested unless we are losing one or two as well. We've already signed Rob Dickie to add to Aaron Martin, John Mousinho, Mike Williamson, Charlie Raglan, Curtis Nelson and Fiacre Kelleher out on loan.

We seem to have signed a young Romanian lad called Dobre from Bournemouth on loan. Speedy forward, apparently.

Supposedly close to signing Sullay Kaikai from Palace on loan.

Yeah, me neither. Any of the Shrewsbury lot able to shed any light?

Ajose has been recalled but judging by Robinson's comments earlier I don't see him playing for us again anytime soon.

Kaikai is pretty decent, I wanted us to go in for him a while back. Did very well in a loan spell a couple of years back

Cheers, didn't realise he was at Gills too.

Only seen it from that Pete O'Rourke so far but he seems to think it's almost done.

He'll probably end up at left back, anyway.

Someone or other on the Dale forum said he was one of the less inept performers for Bury in the Checkatrade 0-4 defeat. Praise, albeit faint! :-)
