Charlie Raglan has gone out on loan to Port Vale from us. Been injured all season but surprised as he is better than most of our other options.

Have you ever heard of football agents?

I've never heard of a football agent correcting reports of three bids made for their player to downplay interest and decrease the pressure on us to sell. Why on earth would an agent do that? Why don't you think before you post?

There have been no statements of any sort from PNE, unless you want to dig one out for me?

It's really embarrassing to call someone a child when you need them to explain things to you. Who told your journalists that two bids have been made, rather than three? It's not in the interests of Ledson or Oxford.

The only people I see labelling clubs tinpot are teenagers on Twitter, not grown blokes. It's all a little cringe.

Conversely, loads of grown blokes call things "a little cringe"

Ineffective at what exactly?

Making your point coherently and without petty jabs

you realise i'm not in charge of recruitment at PNE?

It's honestly hard to tell whether you'd do a worse job, but yes I did. You asked a question, incorrectly assumed an answer, and now this bit of your post just looks like an angry rant.

We've been linked with Marvin Johnson on loan as he is surplus to requirements with the likelihood of 3 players ahead of him.

Reports (including from a Sky Sports reporter) saying we've enquired about him, Pulis isn't interested in using him and as he can't play for anybody else except us or Middlesbrough, then we are the only option. It could be a case of whether Marv wants to play 1st team football or not.

Local media suggesting the reports are a bit spurious.

After signing Anton Walkes?? from Spurs on loan (he's been on loan to the MLS) - 20 year old utility player, we are apparently close to signing Derby Midfielder Jamie Hanson on loan too. Sounds like something we are missing in midfield

I'd expect a journalist who works with the club every day to know things like that, as it's his job, wouldn't you?

Rumours of a transfer request and false reports of third bids going in sounds like agent mischief to me.

Again, if i'm wrong, link me to a quote from the club talking about Ledson, please.

Conversely, loads of grown blokes call things "a little cringe"

I've explained my points perfectly well, not my problem if you get wound up by clubs showing interest in one of Oxford's players.

It's honestly hard to tell whether you'd do a worse job, but yes I did. You asked a question, incorrectly assumed an answer, and now this bit of your post just looks like an angry rant.

Our recruitment is pretty fantastic to be fair.

Don't think my post looks angry at all to be honest, certainly no more than the passive aggressive stuff you come out with.

Only if someone told him and we already know that wouldn't be the agent or Oxford.

If the club put their name to these reports then they might look less tinpot. As it is, they hide behind this legendary local journalist and the real clubs conclude real transfer business around them.

Clearly I touched a nerve calling your tinpot club out for what it is. Arguing about it won't help you.

Why would the club not tell the reporter of the local paper if he's asking a question about false reports?

Don't think that equates to 'crying' and making 'loads of noise'.

There were no 'reports', Seddon replied to a fan on Twitter, as he does about most transfer dealings.

So they are commenting on a player they can't secure a deal for, and leaking stories to the press?

Tinpot.

Where have you seen this? can't see anything online.

Interested to see how he gets on but don't think he has a long term future at North End.

Kevin Van Veen has signed. Jesus Christ our squad is massive. Anybody fancy Raheem Hanley or Dean Bowditch?

Is that the sort of thing you normally contradict people on?

You're not exactly coming across as an adult are you? editing posts after they've already been replied to, obsessing over a football club being 'tinpot' and desperately trying to claim some sort of victory on football forum. Whatever gets you through your Tuesdays I suppose.

Do all your posts revolve around all things 'tinpot'? Is that your thing?

He supports a team from a city that is more famous for a university and a race on the Thames, so yes.

Oxford is pretty nice in fairness.

The boat race is shit though.

Didnt Scunthorpe get offered a few million from a Chinese club for Van Veen last year? Bit of a fall in value! any scunny fans have an idea on rumoured fee? He seems to have been scoring last few weeks so seems odd that you have let him go.

We now have a first team of 31 PLAYERS! Need to get rid of a ton of deadwood but fair play to Kelvin for digging deep to help us get out of the mess caused by JED.

That bid never actually happened. Our chairman confirmed their was minor interest from a chinese club but never a fee or genuine decisions. No idea about the fee. Didn't realise but his contact finishes at the end of the year so I suppose it was get a fee now rather than lose him for free in summer. Very disappointed to lose him as he had hit some really good form lately.

Only positive about this window is we've got rid of our two highest earners in Madden and Van Veen. Hopefully that opens up some space to bring in another striker but I doubt they will be any good.

Doyle back in training supposedly, Alexander confirmed interest at the start of the window didn't he?

All gone quiet about him going back to Oldham despite their new chairman claiming a loan deal was agreed.

Yeah there was some interest from us before. He would be an excellent signing for us but I'm not sure if we'd be willing to pay his wages or he'd want to come here.

Fair enough then, I always thought that every club at this level would have to accept a bid of that size so it seemed odd at the time. Seems like an odd move to get rid of Madden and Van Veen and bring in Ivan. I loved him when he was here but hes not exactly a consistent scorer (yet) at this level. Is Van Veen purely an out and out striker or can he drop deeper etc?

Ajose?

Fully expect him to be back out on loan in the next 24 hours. Will follow your theme of picking up our cast-offs. How are Novak and Crofts getting on?

Both are shite in general. Novak scored a few goals for us when he first came in but then was put on the bench. Crofts has hardly played. Ajose has already spent time on loan at us 7 years ago and was shite so no thanks. I want Doyle or Doidge

I wish Doyle would sign for someone. His name has been circulating this board for what seems like years

Would rather not have Ajose again.

Novak has been alright for what he’s played. He’s not the man to lead our line though. Crofts has played like twice due to injuries and he probs won’t play again for us.

Madden had not been performing at all. Van Veen hadnt Been either until December really. Toney did really well on loan for us last season and Alexander is a big fan.

Yeah Van Veen loves to drop deep and pick up the ball. He’s very technically gifted but isnt the most hardworking. Yeah will really enjoy watching him play though and some stuff he does is magical.

If you will reply after two minutes, you can't be surprised someone edits their post whilst still reading it back. That said, none of my edits changed the context or tone of any of my replies - just addressed points I missed first time round. Another thing for you to cry about I guess.

Regardless of my maturity, whether I attend school is a fairly factual matter so you'd probably be best off just taking my word for it.

That university is more famous than all our teams, I don't let it bother me too much.
