Michał Żyro on loan from Wolves confirmed.

Zyro should set League One alight. I hope he gets his mojo back as he looked massively promising when he arrived with us. Pity he won't get to do one over that c**t Kay though.
I'm glad we loaned him though as I think he will do well for us in the future.

England under-20s international Ryan Ledson has handed in a transfer request at Oxford United amid interest from Championship side Preston North End.

Ledson, capped 38 times for his country at various age levels, made his decision after the League One club turned down a bid believed to be around £700,000 from North End.

The former Everton trainee made his debut at Goodison under Roberto Martinez aged 17 but joined Oxford in 2016 to gain regular first-team football and has impressed in more than 50 appearances since then.

The 20-year-old has played for England at every level from under-16s upwards and skippered the under-17s to the European Championship.

He missed out on the England under-20s World Cup triumph last year because of a knee injury.

Preston's strong interest indicates their determination to try and push for promotion into the Premier League this season.

Manager Alex Neil has already signed striker Louis Moult and Bristol Rovers' Billy Bodin in the current transfer window.

North End are currently six points away from a play-off position but have a game in hand on Fulham who lie sixth.

Hope we can get this one wrapped up.

Yeah I bet our Venture Capitalist chairman is proper struggling to deal with upset Lego

No idea about your owners but a transfer request will always play into the hands of the buying club. I expect us to make another bid, hopefully it's enough.

It won't hurt you, sure, but it won't stop us getting our price. I don't think it changes much at all because I don't think Oxford ever expected Ledson to see out his career with us.

Cobblers signed French striker Borris Mathis on loan from Everton.

Anyone know much about him? We were short in that department so much needed

Andy Boyle going to Doncaster on loan, instead of Walsall it seems.

Sky saying we've had 3 bids rejected for Ledson but Dave Seddon says we've only made 2 bids, second bid made yesterday, dunno if it's been turned down or not.

Eoin Doyle mean to be back in training, don't know if his loan to Oldham is done & dusted or if that means he's now available on a permanent basis.

Someone take Marnick Vermijl please.

Lavery signed for Rotherham, JCH likely to be allowed to join Oldham if they still want him

It has been turned down. We have no intention to sell in this window, unless you meet our valuation of course. As has been said elsewhere Preston need to pay up or move on.

Also, so far the transfer request claim has only been made by the Daily Mail or people linking to that report. Nothing has been mentioned in local media to confirm it which would have happened imo if true. This may change of course over the next 2 days but I'd be surprised with how Lego has gone about his business so far.

Great, mind he has to be better than Alcock

There are plenty of players who are woeful in the Championship (Eoin Doyle & Ben Pringle) but can do a job in League One, so who knows.

I don't think Son of Baconface knows what a good defender is though.

Rovers are trying to get Otis Khan over the line, be a serious replacement for Bodin from what I've seen of him. Looks a great player for his age.

You are probably right, given that we have lost all 3 senior centre halves in a week however doesn’t leave us much choice, we can only hope he’s outstanding at our level that way you might make some money in the summer and we might stay up.

We've signed full back Ashley Smith-Brown on loan from Man City to the end of the season. Pacy apparently and did well at NAC Breda last season.

Honestly Preston are coming across as completely tinpot now.

Good to see a second Man City loan at the club, Sterling next

Why? for not paying over the odds for a lower league player. According to our local reporter, the second bid was only made yesterday.

Hilarious if we get him for less than a million now, if not, back in for him in the summer when he has 12 months left. We play the waiting game for a lot of our targets. It's worked out pretty well.

For not being able to afford a lower league player, making plenty of noise about it and generally misreading the market. If you can't afford him then stop crying and move on. These are all tinpot actions that we haven't seen from the likes of Leeds, Boro, Sheff Utd and Bristol City.

Of course, by the summer one of these clubs (which are all doing better than you) might want him. If not, another 18 months of him in an Oxford shirt before we get a fee when he's out of contract anyway.

Hilarious if you pay our price and get him? Not really. Still made more noise about it than any of the aforementioned 'proper' clubs did. Still proper tinpot. Meanwhile we would treble our money and sign the next guy we will rip you off over.

Who says we can't afford him? Our owner is worth about £700m and we were rejecting £8m bids in the summer. Doesn't mean we will just cave in and pay more than we think a player is worth.

As far as I've seen, the club have said absolutely nothing in regards to Ledson. So no idea where you've got the 'making noise' or 'crying about it' from.

How on earth would we know there's been two bids and not three? If it were Oxford or Ledson releasing the statement, why on earth would it be in their interest to downplay how keen PNE are?

If you won't meet our valuation then move on, leave our players to non-tinpot clubs that understand where football is atm.

Bloody hell, you're still at school, right?

This is childish and shows your awareness of how ineffective you're being.

Good news Bradford fans Adam Thompson is returning to us
To put it into context, we have conceded more than you and are 5th. Obviously that isn't just down to him, but he certainly hasn't helped, shame as I thought he'd be a decent signing at the time.

Have you ever heard of football agents?

There have been no statements of any sort from PNE, unless you want to dig one out for me?

This is childish and shows your awareness of how ineffective you're being.

The only people I see labelling clubs tinpot are teenagers on Twitter, not grown blokes. It's all a little cringe.

Ineffective at what exactly? you realise i'm not in charge of recruitment at PNE? I know as much about the this deal as you do, which is clearly not a lot.

Bit of a mess down here. Stoke Sentinel reporting that Josh Tymon has completed a loan deal, but we've not announced it and it looks like we're waiting to see what happens with Brendan Galloway, who's said he wants to cut short his loan at Sunderland and come back here.
Other than that with a day left and a rookie manager we probably still need a striker and an experienced centre back.
EDIT: Josh Tymon confirmed on a loan till the end of the season, as is Elliot Ward from Blackburn
