Marnick Vermijl gone to Scunthorpe on loan, he's basically a shorter Scott Wiseman.

I think he will do ok down here.

I wonder what's gone on there?
Medical and the lot was done, £175k then Clarke-Harris (his replacement) signed for Cov instead of Chesterfield so they pulled the plug, a nice way to end an utter disaster of a month.

Jack Hendry apparently off to Celtic for 1.5m, we have a “big sell on” according to our local journalist. That should cover the Devante Cole fee nicely. Most importantly, a third bid of 5m now rejected for Powell from Brighton. Looks like we’re going to hold our nerve and with that, hold the League One title in May.

Wouldnt sll for 15m to be honest. Probably the most naturally gifted footballer we've had and I include Valencia who we sold to United for 16m 9 years ago, Moses, Baines etc who have had great careers. He keeps fit and he's got it all. Definitely be playing Premier League football in the not too distant future. In this current climate of crazy fees we should be getting top dollar.

Think we have done very well in this window. Not lost any of our star players, bringing in the likes of Vaughan, Fulton, Cole and Walker. Oh and Powell telling our chairman to reject any bids for him. Roll on the remainder of the season. Things are looking good again for us....

LOL Preston priced out of a move by little old Oxford, sell their best player instead.

Hope we have done enough this window to stay up.

Disappointing deadline day for us. Neither our current or previous managers seemed to fancy Milan Lalkovic, so they've torn up his contract. Barely saw him in a Pompey shirt.

Also released Kyle Bennett to Bristol Rovers. Potentially a very good player if he could just learn to release the ball quicker. Can beat people for fun but often forgets that said beaten player is allowed to turn around and nick the ball back off him. Very frustrating, but had an excellent end to the season last year. Stats don't lie though and despite plenty of chances has scored zero goals and had zero assists this season.

Got in keeper Stephen Henderson on loan from Forest but not sure how that will improve the team. Couldn't land Derby's Jamie Hanson on loan so our midfield will likely be too lightweight for the remainder of the season. A mid-table finish beckons.

Really pleased with our window for once, given the circumstances.

Would have liked to see some permanent signings but knew that was never going to happen with the sale of the club ongoing but pleased with the three loans.

Managed to fend off bids for Konsa and Magennis and only lost Holmes who has been more than adequately replaced in my opinion as he was nowhere near the same player as last season.

The squad definitely looks a bit stronger and with more and more players returning from injury, there’s really no excuse to not finish in the top 6 as it stands. Kudos to Robinson for keeping us in touch through the last few turbulent months.

Finally we signed someone.

Tony Craig from Millwall.

Some saying he's past it, meh, we'll find out I guess. His experience will certainly be helpful that's for sure.

Hopefully you haven't done enough so we can get Ledson for even cheaper in the summer :)

Pretty sure Pearson, Davies and Cunningham are still here but we managed to pull in £9m for Hugill.

You've signed Kyle Bennett after we released him. On his day a world beater and the next totally awful. Will run into blind alleys and clear tons of shots out of the ground. One thing I will say about him even if he's having a mare he will always be looking to get on the ball and never goes hiding. I hope he does well as he's a real decent bloke , extremely popular around the place.

Yep, seems it was all done yesterday (for both signings) but for whatever reason, we've decided to announce today? Which has sent the forums in meltdown last night

Can't say I'm overly inspired by the signing, although DC has an act of getting the best out of each player so lets see.

Nice to have depth at least

Shrimpurh, bit weird Robinson turning moves down yesterday? That said, probably isn't much between bench at a L1 Club or bench at a L2 one.

Crap window for us really. Brought in Matthews, Makasi, Church and Vyner. Lost Blissett out on loan to Macclesfield, Wylde on loan to Morecambe, Ciftci to Motherwell, released Sokolik, Diagouraga, and Jervis for 125k to Luton.

Only one I'm bothered about is Diagouraga, all the others I can understand leaving, but the squad is now pretty thin and if we get hit with injures we'll be screwed. Would of loved Bennett here, suits our system now.

On paper a decent transfer window for us. 5 in with 2 of them potentially good permanent signings. 3 loans which I suspect 2 could be made permanent if all parties happy.

We kept Simon Eastwood and Ryan Ledson which is excellent. We maybe will finally see what Ivo Pekalski is like after he returns from injury.

We only lost Jack Payne that may have hurt. Good player but unless you play a formation with a 10 role, he is difficult to fit in. Would have preferred to keep Charlie Raglan over Mike Williamson or Aaron Martin but not really that bothered. Only other leaving was Xemi but not really a loss with where he is at currently.

Most areas of weakness have been strengthened on paper with, crucially, pace added. Maybe could have done with a striker but unfortunately those we went for (reportedly) didn't happen.

Looking forward to see what Cameron Brannagan does for us. Also hopefully now we have Kane, Smith-Brown, Carroll and Ricardinho available we won't see much of Tiendalli anymore.

Busy deadline day for us.

IN:-
Abo Eisa - Undisclosed (Wealdstone)
Nathan Thomas - Loan (Sheffield United)
Sam Jones - Undisclosed (Grimsby)

OUT:-
Louis Dodds - (Chesterfield)

Good deadline day and transfer window on the whole having also signed Max Lowe on loan from Derby and bring in Luke Hendrie for an Undisclosed fee from Burnley.

Only disappointment was missing out on Omar Bogle to Peterborough at the last minute.

Nice little earner for us north of the border. Jack Hendry, a player who couldnt get a game for us and we sold to dundee for peanuts signed for Celtic last night. We had a 40% sell on clause which brings us a tidy 600k. Great deadline for us....

Not a bad window for us but I think missing out on a centre back cud prove costly. Wellens has said that we were close to bringing in Matt Mills and Devante Cole but mills wanted a year more than we were willing to offer and Wigan offered a better package for Cole. Disappointing.

Just ignoring our on field trouble for a minute our January has probably been meh, not terrible but not enough to take us to the next level (Results have put an end to that anyway).

Out:
Field
Hendrie
Barr

All squad cannon fodder, can only remember Luke Hendrie's first name such was their importance.

In:

Tall German striker
Ryan something an Australian defender
Can't remember their names and at work so not looking it up, but I expect Ryan to get game time, hopefully he's a decent right sided CB because we need one.

Other ins:
Matty Lund
Stephen Walnock
Callum Guy
I think Matty Lund will be our key signing, midfield has been woeful for the last month or so, hopefully he'll give it a kick up the arse. Walnock could be decent if his legs haven't gone, but with both full backs now back he'll probably be on the bench. Callum Guy is probably just in to replace Hendrie.

The best business of the window was probably keeping Wyke and McMahon.

Not McMahon's biggest fan but our last win was the last time he played, and our junior RB was poor then got ill and we've had to play a youngster from midfield there, plus he has 8 assists.

Wyke obviously the big one, top scorer we look dreadful whenever he doesn't play. Was supposed to be going to 7 championship clubs at one time or another ranging from £250k (lol) to £5mil (lol again), but our season was over if he left.

With injuries now coming back and hopefully one or two of the new players can stake a claim, if we get a couple of wins we could go on a run again to secure a play off spot. Feeling more confident for the next two days at least, lose to Oldham and fuck it seasons over.

LOL we haven’t sold any of our 3 best players but nice try

Honestly I'm just seeing how much mileage this line has with the other Preston fan so don't worry yourself. I can't name any Preston players so I have no opinion on who you might have sold.

When did Oxford become Real Madrid?

Pretty sure if Preston wanted him enough, they would have paid for the lad.

Preston wanted him on the cheap clearly as they didn't meet our valuation and we didn't want or need to sell anyway. Reportedly offered something around £750k (but that included add ons) with the 2nd bid.

We got around £3m for Marvin Johnson when he was openly agitating for a move. Whilst I wouldn't expect that for Lego due to his position, although I think he will have a better career, that is pretty derisory. I reckon £1.5m plus add ons/sell on % would have got him but then they would have had to break their transfer record.

Does he have 18 months left, or do you have an option to extend his current deal by a year? Think i've seen some rumours suggesting you do.

Think our record transfer is £1.5m, which rose to £1.8m for David Healy when the ITV Digital money was around.
