Well, great.

Playing the best striker in L1 fourth choice and still trying to call it a victory
I’m not calling it a victory or a defeat. Are you trying to take my moron of the year crown from me?

At the time he was behind Hylton, Vassell and we’d just signed Collins. We all knew he was a promising player, who just had a bit of a confidence problem and someone not getting enough game time. I think we did good business here really.

Slightly off topic but something in the region of £400,000 to £500,000 coming our way, thanks to a sell on clause, when Connor Goldson signs for Glasgow Rangers in the next day or two.

Someone's copied a tweet onto the Dale forum which indicates Keith Hill has been in discussions with Brighton's Glenn Murray. Would be a great signing, however its more a case of bumping into each other on holiday, the discussions being of the "whose round is it" variety... :)

Apparently we are signing Seedorf... unfortunately it’s Sherwin on loan from Wolves.

And we’ve actually signed a Swedish lad called Thomas Isherwood from Bayern Munich’s reserves. I won’t hold my breath based on previous forays into the German leagues.

More intriguingly, our left back Dan Potts has been linked with a couple of Championship clubs and Sunderland. He only has a year to run on his deal and a usually extremely reliable poster on our forum has just claimed that he is refusing to extend so we are likely to be forced to sell.

Said poster has also suggested if he does go we may choose to hold on to James Justin, who we previously all assumed would be our big money sale of this window, and use him as first choice left back (he's a right back by trade but very two footed and actually seems to play better on the left). He was strongly linked with Brighton in January but has 3 years left on his deal which gives us some room to work with.

Bet it pains you to be even remotely positive!

If he's even half as good as my favourite Scandinavian Gunne Halle, he won't be bad. We'll have to wait and see.

Where have I been negative lad. Hope he’s quality. Would be the first of Edin’s German signings who would be though wouldn’t you agree?

Josh Rees signs for us on a two-year deal from Bromley, 20 goals in 53 appearances from midfield last season.

Say what you like about Peterborough as a club and their transfer dealings, their policy for players with 1 year left on their contract is a sound one. Unless it’s to a close rival or said player is completely indispensable, we should sell.

If we can get £750-800k I’d be very happy if he’s showing no ambition to extend.

Thankfully, I don’t think we have any other key players in such a position.

It’s all going off today, had a bid rejected for a Grimsby striker. Another rejected bid! I’m sure it’s part of the master plan. #positivevibes #dontshoutatmefirthy

Yep, but a slightly different quality in this player, some would argue.

Previously: Two keepers who were forced to play backup to a consistent Doyle. Growdowski who we offered a deal to, but he turned down, and not forgetting the big fucking German, Brünker - who in all fairness did OK at the end of last season. But yeah, there’s always a question mark over how well a player will do at ones club, irrespective of who signed him or where they’re from.

Aye, must be because we’re skint.....or it’s because our owners are foreign - one or the other. Gotta be.

To the surprise of absolutely no-one we've announced Sonny Bradley on a 3 year deal.

You’ll love him. Big unit who never gets bullied and chips in with his share of headed goals. Gutted he’s left Argyle but for whatever reason Derek Adams didn’t think he was worth a bigger contract. Good luck to him.

We have bid for Siriki Dembele, don't know anything about him. Greg Leigh in negotiations and have being linked with Sherwin Seerdorf from Wolves on loan. Looks like we are trying to get a full squad before a Head coach.

When Dembele is on it he's fantastic which he was for the first few months of the season, but second half of the season he played like he couldn't be arsed and then got benched and was a virtual passenger in the run in. Definite talent there but the January speculation unsettled him and I think in his head he's expecting a call from Real Madrid of Barcelona.
As long as we get a decent fee for him then I'm not arsed about him leaving now we know that he wants to leave, I think he will be a hit in League 1 for you if you do sign him, as long as he can actually be bothered to try.
