When Dembele is on it he's fantastic which he was for the first few months of the season, but second half of the season he played like he couldn't be arsed and then got benched and was a virtual passenger in the run in. Definite talent there but the January speculation unsettled him and I think in his head he's expecting a call from Real Madrid of Barcelona.
As long as we get a decent fee for him then I'm not arsed about him leaving now we know that he wants to leave, I think he will be a hit in League 1 for you if you do sign him, as long as he can actually be bothered to try.
More or less all our team stopped trying in January, maybe he was getting in sync with them.

Dembele has unreal potential, great skill and quick feet. He started the season brilliantly and a few teams were commenting that he was the best opposition player they’d faced. He then got injured at Christmas, and struggled from then on. As Fish says, there was speculation in January from the PL (lol) as Dembele told us himself, in an interview during our relegation battle.

He doesn’t seem all that strong mentally. He thinks he’s much better than he is and considering he couldn’t get in a team near the bottom of League 2, that’s saying something. Whether it was confidence or not, I don’t know. He has got next to no end product and will always try to dribble into the opposition box. He’s quite weak and is bad at tracking back.

All that said, with some coaching, he could be a top player. After the season he’s had, to hand in a transfer request makes me question his character.

Sounds similar to Omari Patrick although maybe further on in his development. If we are spending money on a striker we’d surely be better off targeting someone more established. If someone bids for Wyke then we are fcked up front.

Michael Turner has signed a new 1 year deal with a year option. Started off very slowly last season he had a lot of trouble with injuries but once he got going in the second half of the season you could see his class. Chipped in with a few goals from set pieces too, very happy to keep him.

You're close to signing Hopper according to our local paper (unless it's smoke and mirrors for us).

We’re signing Anthony O’Connor according to the Scottish Sun (no we’ve still not got a manager), formerly of Burton and Plymouth, last club Aberdeen who’s fans seem to 100% hate him after he slagged them off.

Set to be announced today. Seems a decent signing on paper.

Seems a very strange set up

Swings and roundabouts, if there is genuinely no head coach being close to being appointed then we would be behind a lot of teams if we were waiting for one to come in and start signing players.

Riley and O’Connor seem like decent enough signings on paper and I’d be happy with Greg Leigh too if that goes through. Can also see why we’ve signed Josh Wright as we need some experience in the squad.

It’s pretty obvious that we are looking for a coach that works with the players he’s given, it’s been Rahic’s philosophy since he took over. Probably why a lot of coaches are rejecting us (according to the Daily Mail).

The delay isn't a surprise. It's obvious to me that Joachim Low has agreed to come to Bradford, but is unwilling to discuss contracts until after the World Cup. As an internationall manager he's used to working with whatever he's given.

If there is anyone you can trust with transfer new it is the local papers. The journalists have obviously got good contacts the clubs they report on

Although Cowley seems to have, on occasions, used ours to get a message across to a player and/or agent.

Does point towards you, though.

We’ve submitted a bid for German striker Streli Mamba - according to a local German rag. He’s valued at circa £155k.

Yep, no idea......

We've signed Jordan Williams (Defender/Holding midfielder) on a 2 year deal following his release by Liverpool. Was decent enough on loan last season, before getting injured.

We've signed Darius Charles after his deal at AFC Wimbledon ran out, mainly a centre half but can play left back as well which is handy if Joe Jacobson is injured or suspended.

We offered him a new contract but with a big pay cut. No question he's a quality centre-half (though rubbish as an emergency centre-forward) but injury means he only plays about 30 games a season and has done for pretty much his whole career.

Anyway, we've signed someone at last. Winger Mitch Pinnock from Dover - Scunny also interested allegedly. Another in the mould of Joe Pigott - dropped out of the league and a second chance to rebuild his career. No idea about him really.

Will be gutted to lose him but it was expected. He deserves a shot at the Championship as he's been our best player ever since he signed. Just hope we get a bit of money for him.

A random Twitter account (EFL Sources) has claimed we are after George Maris of Cambridge.

First summer movement at Oakwell. Austrian winger Christoph Knasmullner has left for Rapid Vienna. Joined us in January and made 3 appearances.

Location wise we'd have an advantage but he's a born and bred Scummer having spent 10 years in their youth system and a few more in the pros so if he retains any affection for them that may weigh against us.

Decent player though, definitely wouldn't say no to signing him.

Orginally from Ireland I think though so probably not a Watford fan...

We are linked to akinde from Barnet. This is a regular rumour so not sure what to make of it once again. Not even sure if he could cut it at league 1.

From what I saw of him last season, he had regressed as a player from the previous year. That said, I guess if he's playing in a more confident team, it might rekindle his form.

We have signed 21 year old keeper Harry Burgoyne on a season’s loan from Wolves. Any Wolves fans or others, what is he like? I am guessing he is being lined up to be our starter.
