Fleetwood have got Jordan Rossiter on loan for a season. Any of you Bury lads out there, is he a good signing for the Cods ?

Could control the midfield at times in league two, very rarley gave the ball away. The only negative was his shooting could do with improving but he scored a screamer v Port Vale. Good signing.

interesting comments about us in this thread.

Anyone who thinks we'll be battling it out for the title is misguided for sure, but finishing outside of the top 6 would be catastrophic considering we have the likes of Judge, Huws, Bishop, Dozzell, Norwood, Sears, Chambers, Skuse & Bialkowski (for now).

We are most definitely unbalanced, that's my biggest concern, not the youth element.

You seemed to play your best football at the back end of last season + Lambert has had pre season to install his style & views for this season.

You'll have lots of youth & pace , I think you'll do better than you imagine.

4 out of last 6 to come down from Championship have gone back up at 1st attempt , maybe finding a new buyer & shift Marcus ( tight wad ) Evans out could be your biggest signing in decades from an outsider looking in perspective !

Best signing you will make all season, NEVER stops and was way above L2 last season. Also never missed a game despite his past injury record.

Yep !

Old people call it cheating .
Young people call it playing the system !

When he gets a yellow for simulation some of our fans ( oldies ) mostly applaud the ref .

Can't argue with his quality, most assists in top 4 divisions over last few seasons .

He could be at Cleethorpes in a few weeks in the friendly as part of the deal that brought League 1's Raheem Sterling to Posh , ohhhhh Sirrrrriiiikkkkii Dembeeeellleee !

Am I old at 29?! Christ.

He's a cracking player for the third tier, but a cheat. He could easily have tried his luck higher but maybe he's worried he'll get 'outed' for his antics so sticks to a level he knows he'll excel at without fear of recrimination - I very much doubt no-one from higher has tried to nab him at some point over the last few years.

Dembele's a cheat as well, for what it's worth.

Lambert likely to give Danny Rowe a chance?

We've agreed a settlement figure with Michael Kightly and he is to have his contract terminated today I believe. Thank god has to go down as one of our worst signings on huge wages.

Also set to confirm Nathan Ralph from Dundee today - left back who won their player of the season last year.

Not convinced by Barton at all but looking from afar, Fleetwood seem to have made some good signings to an already decent looking squad. A better manager and I'd be backing them as an outside punt.

Yeah, this. From the outside it looks like he likes being the star man too much to risk his playing reputation by not making it higher up where he can get put in his place.

Pompey fans, What's this Dion Donohue like? We could be interested apparently.
Cracking footballer, great dead ball delivery, good crosser, range of passing and technically excellent. Made out of tooth picks tho!! Can play left back, defensive left winger or central midfield. Check out the pass that led to Green's goal at Norwich
from 3:43

I am in agreement with Nelson. Injuries are the only reason we didn't keep him on. If his luck turns he will be a good addition at this level. Unspectacular but could be a week-on-week 7 out of 10, which managers love.

Must be a Suffolk thing.

One of my best mates is an Ipswich fan and he is most definitely unbalanced!!

We have re signed Michael Folivi in a season long loan from Watford. He was decent enough up front from jan that a seadon might do both parties alot of good. Essentially he is Kwesi Appiahs replacement if only we could offload him.

B... hell mate, you've really cheered me up with these comments. Tbh we had a guy called Jason Holt last year, on loan from Rangers, strikes me as being quite similar. He played most games from the start of the season towards the end before injury finished him. I always felt he was never able to get hold of a game and impose himself on it and his scoring record was shite
Rossiter will have to fight for his place with Coutts coming in but from what you say he looks a good bet, certainly wishing him well

We keep being linked with Luton's Danny Hylton. Can't see him coming here to be honest for a variety of reasons.

We've just signed Tyler Smith from Sheff Utd on loan. Doncaster fans, any good?

Also signed Luke Leahy from Walsall.

Oof, unlucky. Can do a cracking channel ball (hence his very high passing stats), but defensively he is abysmal and his crossing is 70% terrible, 30% amazing. Suits a LWB the most but I'd worry for you if he's at LB in a 4, lacks any pace to beat players as a wing back though. Attitude wise he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder too so I hope the Rovers fans aren't one to get on players backs.

I'm surprised he managed to stay in league 1 but his passing stats were bound to fool someone. There is a chance he can be coached into a decent player but I'd be surprised if it happens.

To be fair we didn't see enough of him, he looked out of his depth at times but I don't think we played him in the correct position, wide left of a front 3. He needs to play central and likes to play off the shoulder of the last defender.

If anyone can teach him how to defend, it would be Coughlan to be fair.

He wants first team football but if/when Holmes-Dennis comes back, he won't have a sniff around the first team. We also have Michael Kelly who's got a small injury who'd probably rival him, so it will be interesting to see how much football he'll get.

I'd imagine he'd play in a 2 player strike force, alongside Clarke-Harris which might suit him more. You can never tell what will happen with loan players but I have to say that apart from Clark-Harris (who's currently injured) our lack of goals is concerning. Between Tyler Smith, Nicols & Reilly - they scored 7 goals last season

Tom Eaves has declared he has left Gills in an excellent tweet thanking the club and supporters.

So he’ll be announced at a new club very shortly I’d imagine. That should be a Championship side (I hope so anyway), but will be interesting to find out where.

Apparently Hull according to one journalist, Henry Armstrong.
