Seems we've been beaten to the signing of Marcus Browne by Middlesborough.

Karl Robinson has come out and said we matched them (and 3 other Championship clubs) in terms of fee and wages on offer and he has chosen to play at a higher level.

I'd call bullshit on every bit of that statement bar the part about him wanting to play at a higher level

As Kenny says, he is a solid signing. Technically he is very good and loves to spray balls around from midfield. He absolutely thrived in a side that liked to play through midfield, and has a cracking shot from range on him that for me he could actually look to use a little more.

BUT its very dependent on what you are expecting from him. He only really came into his own in his final season here when played on the right side of our diamond midfield. Before that he played as a holding type midfield player and to be frank was useless at it. As long as you aren't expecting him to do a lot of running and tackling and are looking for a playmaker then he will be fine.

Its a good move for him personally, never settled in Scotland apparently and lives close by to you, so should be in a position to really thrive with you.

It’s no secret he wants a move but we won’t sell him unless a club meets our valuation however the biggest stumbling block is his wage demands, 3 championship sides have met our valuation but not John’s so they walked away. It’s rumoured yourself, Forest and Charlton are interested up here.

As from August 1st he's got 9 months left on contract , should get him for £500-£750 k .
Am surprised Millwall haven't come on for him , I think he's from that area.
His Uncle & Cousin & her kids come on supporters coach a few times each season.
