We applied for international clearance today for the Irish lad we signed in December so we'll have to wait and see if that comes through for the weekend and MA's hopeful of another one in by the Sunderland game as well.

We’ve kept Dieng for the rest of the season, Anderson has signed a new contract until 2022, Alfie May has left us for Cheltenham.

We have signed Alex Woodyard on loan until the end of the season. He should improve us significantly.

Any thoughts Posh and Lincoln fans ?

Alex Woodyard signed on loan from Peterborough till the end of the season.
Portsmouth interested in Manny Monthe, £750.000 may get in the way of that though!

Limited in the sense of he's a workhouse who scraps to win the ball back. Does little with the ball however in terms of progressing play a bit of a crab. I liked him and will be a good player in a team that scraps. Would I have him back? No and to be honest I feel L2 is his level mainly due to him not progressing play. Thought he was carrying a bit of timbre on NYD but maybe it was the white shorts!

To be honest, a straightforward ball-winner is exactly what we need given our defensive record, so he should be good for us.

Good signing. Presses well, has plenty of energy and keeps the ball.

Definitely an upgrade on Danns and Perkins.

As above.

High work rate, high energy, can get around the pitch without being overly pacy (probably shown up more for his lack of genuine pace at this level), physically strong and never injured. He's not a technical midfielder, so he's never going to play cross field balls or supply assists. You'd compare him to Kante when he was a Leicester, before Chelsea turned him into a more ball-playing midfielder!

Not someone you'd have in midfield if you're looking at playing through the thirds or an expansive game because you'd need a difference type of midfielder but if you need a scrapper and someone to stick their foot in and win the ball back then he's your man.

I said at the time that he signed for Posh that he didn't suit their style but he did an Evans style so it was no surprise that Fergie tried to shift him on within weeks of being appointed, although I thought they'd find it easier to shift him and at the least L2 Clubs would be queuing up for him.

Well we had a deal in place to sign Adam Idah on loan but given today’s performance it’s now in doubt

We are set to sign former Reading midfielder Liam Kelly on loan from Feyenoord and West Ham winger Nathan Holland this week. Also trying to sign Stephen O’Donnell from Kilmarnock as a Cadden replacement and potentially looking to bring back Marcus Browne on loan who was with us last year.

Stephen O’Donnell was here for a few seasons in league 2 and was absolutely terrible. Worked really hard and got himself up and down the wing from the fullback spot well but in a side that was heavily reliant on fullbacks for width he really was not very good at all. His crossing was noteable only in its dreadfulness - more likely to put it over the oak road than in a good area.

Having said that he must have improved to get in the Scotland team (although that maybe says more about there football than him perhaps). I’d have thought you’d need to replace him in the summer should you be promoted though.

We were linked with Kelly in the summer so that move obviously hasn’t worked out for him. If he is available I wonder if we might go back for him.

Supposedly Kelly was at our game on Saturday. Haven't a clue if true or not.

Signed Steve Seddon from Birmingham on loan until the end of the season as all of our LBs are injured until feb. Looked good against Fleetwood. Apparently Monthe and/or Tilt is on the radar plus Recco Hackett-Fairchild is apparently having a medical this week. Low risk young signing for the future. Could be the new Jamal Lowe.

Just a couple of returning loanees so far for us. Rekeil Pyke has gone back to Huddersfield (writing on the wall for this when 16yo Kwadwo Bach preferred up front). Returning to us is Ryan Delaney, who seems to have done reasonably for Wimbledon.

As expected, Callum Connolly has his loan spell cut short here and has gone straight to Fleetwood for the rest of the season. He was due there in the summer but we nipped in.

Not a surprising move as he hasn't played since mid-November and in all honesty didn't set the world alight. Wasn't poor, probably not aided by the change in manager, but they'll be better out there and it also frees up a loan slot for us. His performances didn't really mirror his playing CV.

Pretty average signing for Fleetwood IMO.

RHF signed 2 1/2 year deal. Could be a Lowe or a Louis Dennis. Time will tell

Reeco in, and now seemingly Pitman may be on the way out. I'd be sad to see him go, but also think it'd be sensible if it means we can free up our wage budget to bring the above/an attacking mid in.

Talk of Cameron McGeehan coming to us on loan. An attacking midfielder? Wanted at Fratton Park? This can’t be real.

Cameron McGeehan signed on loan. Massive signing for us. We've missed someone like him in the midfield since Ben Thompson left last january

Surprising giving them send off he got because he had the audacity to break his leg at Fratton Park a few years ago!

I wouldn’t have said that he is overly similar to Ben Thompson. Think Thompson technically is a much better player and hence why he has had some championship success in comparison to McGeehan

I think possibly just because our midfield has been extremely limited skill wise and safe. He looks alot more creative and can shift with the ball. If he has half the impact of Thompson then it'll be good. The leg break thing was over the top. He went down punching the floor and gobbing off at the physios etc.. As is football we all assumed he was play acting. We had loads of opposition players do this when we were in league 2 just to try and get the ref to cave. All forgotten now

We have signed 18yo forward Keaton Mulvey after a trial period. Was formerly with Curzon Ashton, for whom he scored 7 goals in their FA Youth Cup run earlier this season.
