Anton Walkes gone back to the MLS with atlanta. Shame as he is a good young footballer, just had better players in front of him. Out of contract end of the season so any fee is a bonus. Apparently looking at George Tanner from Man Utd to replace him and still looking for a decent left sided CB. Monthe, Tilt and Pierre have been the ones linked, but no movement.

Rotherham have been chasing Tilt all season. It was brought up at last night's fans forum because we are short of defenders.
We were told that our interest is still strong but Blackpool are reluctant to sell him to fellow league 1 teams.
Plus the new owners don't need the money.
He is out of contract in the summer apparently so it might be in the player's best interest to hang on anyway.

West Ham's Connor Coventry (loan) and Fulham's Tayo Edun (or Adetayo Oluwatosin Olusegun Adio Aduramigba Iretioluwa Edun to give him his full name...) appear to be two we're set to sign.

Coventry is a CM and I think I read Edun is a LB/left midfielder.
Now that is a big name signing!

We have turned a bid down tonight for Boyce from an unnamed club, probably Sunderland. (surely they don't need another striker??)
I think it's inevitable that he's off, just a case of how much and when.
Provided the assist for the winner today.
Prefer to sell him to someone out of this division so it doesn't come back to bite us on the arse.

Does anyone know anything about Ben Gladwin? We have signed him on a free and he has been training with us since he was released by Blacburn.

All I know is from google. He played for Swindon Town, Queens Park Rangers and Blackburn Rovers. Attacking midfielder with 83 appearances which considering his age mean he was probably injured for long periods or shit. :bg:

Re Jordan Roberts to the Gills.

Crawley had him as a starter for a couple of seasons. He is quick, has a good leap at the back post and can put in a decent cross. I was sad to see him leave us but then surprised when he signed for Ipswich in the championship. He is quite good but not that good.

One thing though, he looks good but at the end of the season you'll look at his stats and realise he ain't as good as he looks.

Looks like we are about to sign Fejiri Okenabirhie from Shrewsbury Town, we need a striker and his age fits the philosophy of the club any Shrews fans give us a clue as to what we would expect

Bruno Andrade, who should be heading up the leagues, or a bigger club in this league, is off down them to Salford.

Appleton wanted to keep him but they've made him a ridiculous offer and he's only got 6 months of his deal left so we've cashed in (something I think we'll do this month with other out of contract players with value).

And John Akinde.
We've been linked with Akinde ever since he was playing for Gravesend! Wouldn't take him now, Samuel is definitely my preferred choice, Akinde is little more than a poor battering ram penalty expert. We need a proper goalscorer to make the most of our excellent defence.

Rumours our end you had bid for our striker Stephen Humphrys but pretty sure that is now a non-starter.

Evans is a big admirer. Just read from one of our local media that he's too expensive for you, but whether that's kidology, who knows. Might just be part of the negotiating.

According to Evans, I'm too expensive for our budget.

Khan hasn't had much of a look in. He is quite good technically but he's got a reputation of being a bit dumb. Not the horrible type just completely vacant. This was pointed out by someone else on our forum whose name I can't remember, but on all of the Stagmates interviews, he is always rated as least intelligent. He was caught speeding as well recently and his responses weren't the brightest. It wouldn't fill you with much confidence if you were his manager. I seem to remember him doing kick ups in his own half in a game we were winning.

Sounds the complete opposite of our side then. Hopefully it's a nonsense rumour, which I imagine it is.

What on earth has happened at yours anyway? Thought you'd be flying high this season.

There's a number of factors but in short, we sacked Flitcroft after losing in the play-offs and promoted a rookie manager. The rookie manager turned out to be a rookie. Some players want out and some are low on confidence. Some are being targeted by the management team on charges of dividing the dressing room. It looks that we are now trying to rebuild or at least get a reaction from some of the players.

First I’ve heard but then it’s rare transfer news ever leaks at our end, the Shrews one came from their end.

Kyle Lafferty to Sunderland. He can play a drainpipe as long as he keeps scoring for NI.

Top scorer for us last season. His best spell came when playing alongside a big target man. Certainly knows where the goal is, but needs service. He's not likely to create much for himself, and definitely don't want him trying to hold the ball up by himself.

He'll score goals in the right team that plays to his strengths.

Appleton's just given an update for us.

Jack Payne can leave if he finds a move. Michael O'Connor finalising a move away, rumoured to be Salford.

Harry Toffolo was waving at the end of the game suggesting he's off. Probably Huddersfield, but MA said there's still a bit of work to do and if someone wants him, they'll have to meet our demands. Toffolo must be one of the best LB's in L1, he's been incredible for us the last couple of seasons.

The slightly worrying thing is that there are question marks over any recalls for Joe Morrell, probably our best midfielder and also Tyler Walker, our best striker and top scorer. We've already lost Andrade, arguably our best winger albeit injured the last two months and we've not done too badly without him. Then with Toffolo, one of our best players full stop and O'Connor, someone we've missed when he's not played also close to leaving and it feels as though we're clearing the decks and have made decisions to sell anyone who won't sign new deals to raise funds for the summer.

The amount of activity we've had makes me slightly nervous although to be fair most outs have been out of our hands. Can't be turning good money down for Andrade, Toff and O'Connor. A lot of experience and character there replaced essentially by kids. When you add Cowley compensation there's a fair bit of money come into the club. Two weeks to go and more change to come. Should both Morrell and Walker leave then I will be worried.

Been told Cardiff have agreed a fee with the club.

We've signed (on loan) Tyler Smith, from Sheffield United. Presumably they recalled him from Bristol Rovers to do this. Also had loan spells at Donny and Barrow.

Hopefully he'll have the same positive effect on our team as Rhys Norrington-Davies (also a Sheffield United loanee).

Looking like Dimitri Cavare is signing from Barnsley fairly soon. Reminds me a little bit of a league one Chimbonda from what I remember of him.

Simon Cox contract cancelled by mutual consent. Going to play in Australia. Good move for all parties. One of the high earners at the club and a leader in a dressing room with a dire attitude. The clearout begins.

Appleton's now said Pett and Coker are free to leave. No surprise on either. Both only played once this season.

Pett was unlucky in that he got injured in the final pre-season friendly and was out for 3 months. He's actually a decent enough player but probably not quite athletic or box to box enough for Appleton. A very good L2 player, though.

Coker's just been a weird one full stop. It turned out that his knee injury was fine in the summer but he picked up a separate injury and that one kept him out for a further two months. Pretty sure things would have been different for him had Cowley stayed.
