No. Just the opposite. More exposure for young players can only be a good thing.

Bad news, though, for the older journeyman type.

Tbh, he isn’t going to go from £4.5k pw with you for a salary capped wage somewhere else. He’d be mad to.

Yeah we were stupid as hell to give him that contract in the first place. I can see him going on loan again and trying to recoup as much of his wages as we can until he fucks off.

Shame there are no crowds or id have him cleaning the shitters or serving refreshments

After selling Goode, we've taken their previous 3rd choice centre back from Brentford as his replacement on loan.

And another centre half in the door, Cian Bolger on a one year deal. Lincoln fans, what’s he like?

Another CB, along with Wharton, who was at the Club when we had two excellent ones in Bostwick and Shackell, albeit the latter's form nosedived after Xmas. Never seemed to be fully trusted by either Cowley or Appleton, which is reflected in only 40 odd appearances in a season and a half.

Solid bottom third L1 defender, though. Given the reviews from Fleetwood fans, I was expecting a bit more especially as he apparently had Championship Clubs after him in the summer before we signed him but you can see why he didn't get the move.

Ask him to head and kick it and you'll be fine but he's not a great threat from set pieces despite his height, no great pace, not particularly mobile and not great on the ball.

He's another one of our higher earners gone, probably the last you'd consider to be so.

Cheers, I think head it and kick it will be his remit. Will be in a 3 with two mobile youngsters so an older head with experience was required and he seems to fit that mould.

A good summary here of him.

Think Bolger will definitely fit a Keith Curle side more than a Michael Appleton one, especially as we are going to try and play it out more from the back. Nothing wrong with him in the air, not got great pace or a huge threat from set pieces as you would expect from someone his size. Certainly a 100% er though so I wish him well at Northampton.

Once Appleton arrived I spent most of the games Bolger played worrying when his next mistake would happen as he tried to play out from the back.
He'll suit a direct side as he's a head it, kick it, clear it.

Good luck to him, bit like most contracted Lincoln players since January 2019 didn't trouble the scorers much.

We've resigned Liam Kelly on loan from Feyenoord. He was significantly overweight when he first arrived. No idea what he was doing at Feyenoord. Judging by fan responses to his departure, one referred to him as a 'garden gnome'. So evidently they are unimpressed.

That being said considering he wasn't even remotely fit when he played last season he was actually quite good.

We have also signed Derick Osei Yaw following his release from Brest. Absolutely no idea!

If you ask SoC then 10k a week.
Payne - who was a free signing - 3.5/4k a week although Luke may know better than me.
Akinde is on 12.5k pw, was confirmed @RichieEFL_The_Agent on Twitter. You are correct about Payne's wage though, however he has obscene bonuses.

Looks like we’re signing Kelland Watts on a season long loan from Newcastle.

We have a number of trialists today, Antonio German...(I know), Connor Johnson...who is a former youth team player who moved to Wolves and subsequently went on loan to a few clubs, Samir Carruthers...who seems to have gone off the boil recently and Ricky Korboa...who has played for Carshalton Athletic.

Signing Matej Kovar, keeper from Man Utd. Also linked with James Norwood at Ipswich which seems fanciful to say the least.

Had Tareiq Holmes-Dennis on trial in yesterday’s game against Birmingham.

Was disappointed when he was sold to Huddersfield and know he’s had his injury woes since but if we can get the player we sold, I’d be very happy for him to sign a contract.
