Had Tareiq Holmes-Dennis on trial in yesterday’s game against Birmingham.

Was disappointed when he was sold to Huddersfield and know he’s had his injury woes since but if we can get the player we sold, I’d be very happy for him to sign a contract.
Great player for Rovers but as you say very injury prone. Would love to have kept him but he was always out injured. Probably the best full back in the division when fit. Loved his skill.

Theo Archibald signs on a free, was last seen at Macclesfield. Left footed winger which was needed.

This one seems to have spoken about since back in January!

As you say, a left footer which is what we need. Weird career thus far - Celtic to Brentford B, where he appears to have had a falling out over ordering room service and wasn't allowed, then to FGR on loan and Macclesfield last season.

I can vaguely remember him against us for FGR (if it's who I'm thinking of).

We’ve signed Taylor Richards on a season long loan from Brighton attacking midfielder and another below 21 not counting toward the salary cap

Yeah it is the same bloke at FGR, played well. Direct and drifts in from the right hand side with a cracking long range shot. Good age and good pedigree. Hopefully a full time move rather than a loan will give him a bit of continuity.

4 Scots, 2 Welsh, 2 northern Irish amongst our squad now. Plus a lad from Finland and the states, quite the league of nations we have.

Decent balance now in our squad of 20 with 2 or 3 more to be added.
With 15 over 21 in the squad currently.

We've signed 18yo goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu on loan for the season from Manchester City. Probably as first choice, but we'll see...

Bit of transfer news from us after the game tonight.

Bradley and Adebayo-Smith likely to head out on loan. No surprises there, they were out on loan last season and expected to head out again anyway.

Hoping to sign our trialist in the next week or so and Appleton still feels 'in control' over two loan signings, which are 'close'. Seem to have been close for a while now.

Gills fans, what’s Bradley Garmston like? We have him on trial...

And Charlton fans, we have Lewis Page on trial too. He was offered a short-term deal at Plymouth but rejected it as he wants a longer contract, so we’re looking at him. I see he’s had lots of injuries which is concerning should we sign him. He looked good in the friendly vs Tiverton last night though....

Signed Christian Maghoma, a defender who has previously been playing in Poland, but was with Yeovil before that

Think he played one game on loan at Yeovil.
Pretty much went straight from Tottenham to Poland.
Won the Polish Super Cup.
I think Barca wanted him in a swap deal with Messi

He was a left back who was lightning quick over 100m and might have been one of the quickest players in the league. Found his defensive positioning to be suspect at times but he usually had the pace to recover.

I don't know if he is lightning quick over distances over 100m as the moment he ran 100m and 1cm he would pull a muscle. He was largely considered fit to play last season but the manager didn't trust him giving him a run of games to get match fit.

If you look at his last proper full season with us, you can see multiple gaps of several matches that he missed due to injury and I think he played in less than half of our matches with a large proportion of them saw him not playing the full 90 minutes.

If your physios can keep him fit then he is a talented player.

Posh rumoured to have signed Clarke-Harris from Bristol Rovers for £1.25m.

Must mean Toney's sold as well.

We’ve offered Stephen Ireland a contract but his agent has said he wants more money. Doubt very much that we’ll break the bank for him so suspect he won’t be playing in red this season.

Bradley Garmston's mum is Sonia Lannaman, 100m gold medallist at the 1978 Commonwealth Games, who also got Olympic medals in the sprint relays. So it's understandable that he's fast over 100m!
