And Flores, but they'll manage it through departures. De Wijs already gone. and would have been one of the top earners, Samuelsen on his way to Norway soon, maybe Batty also on his way out. Would expect as many departures as arrivals.

Won't they be at the L1 average though for wage cap purposes and it appears you offered more contribution than us for Whyte? Unless it was via a larger loan fee of course to cover the difference.

Maybe Luke Imp will know but do loan fees come under the salary cap, I am presuming yes but could clubs get around the cap but paying a loan fee instead of a contribution to their wage?

I think loan fees aren't included as transfer fees aren't included unless my memory is playing tricks on me..

Also, as a heads up. Clubs can have as many loans as they like in their match day squad but only 5 on the pitch at one time.

So, theoretically you could sign a loan player on £10k a week, pay a loan fee of £500,000 or whatever and 0% contribution to the weekly wage to by pass the cap?

We've signed CB Conor Masterson on loan from QPR. We now have 8 Centre Backs on the books but somehow conspire to have less clean sheets than a back street brothel.

Perry Ng's move to Cardiff has been confirmed. Sounds like we've got about £350k plus add-ons, which is not a bad deal for a player who was available on a free in the summer.

Wish him all the best. Hes deserves his move and it’s the right time for him and us. Hope he smashes the championship and Cardiff sell him on for big money.

Could try playing them all at once I suppose!

I think so and this is the FL that drafted the rules so anything is possible. I will reiterate that my memory of what I read a good while ago could be wrong though.

We’ve rejected two bids from Charlton for our young winger, Joel Randall. Bowyer said the bids were in region of £300K but we want near £1M.

He’s a real talent and no way we’d sell for peanuts.

Looks like we are signing Charlie Daniels as cover/competition to Lee brown. Going for some experience to hopefully see us to the top 2..

Josh Harrop on loan to Ipswich confirmed.

Talented guy, good set piece striker, good strike on him.

Just needs to do the less glamorous side of the game better.

Championship level player though, he'll do well I think.

Brendan Galloway must have some agent. He has signed on an 18 month deal with Shrewsbury. He has chronic tendinitis dating back to his Everton days.

I see they tweeted he had signed and it’s subsequently been deleted. We haven’t said anything about him leaving so very odd.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he was going to sign and failed a medical with his injury record tbh.

We have loaned Gabriel Osho to Rochdale if there are any Dale fans about here. Plays centre half and right back.

We havent really seen him as he was signed late after leaving Reading in the summer, so Yeovil, where he has been loaned to previously & Reading fans probably know more about him as a player, looked ok in his one appearance in the cup. Was offered a contract by Reading which he turned down so he was rated fairly well there amongst a decent crop of young players.

Billy Jones is back on loan. Only leading us to promotion will be enough to forgive him.

Harry Smith has gone to Motherwell on loan til the end of the season. A few League one and two teams were interested in taking him permanently, but none that met our valuation.

Forgive him for what? haha, guy has about 120 Premier League appearances under his belt since leaving and almost 200 in the Championship. Plus you got a million for a right back.

I suspect he'll be straight into the team, being as we have only three other fit, non-suspended defenders (a very decent, but injury prone right back, a talented 18yo on loan from Brighton who is on the short side for a centre back and a first year pro who hasn't played a league game yet.)

We could really do with Rhys Norrington-Davies back, If he's fallen out with your gaffer, you could have sub-let him back to us rather than the oatcake-munchers!

Rumour at our end is that we are signing John Bostock as Whiteman’s replacement

We're rumoured to have Michael Mancienne on trial after his return from the US.

Basically, he was the first one of our academy graduates to run his contract down and go for a tribunal-set fee. I'm not sure he was ever as good as Dario thought but I think Dario felt that if he'd signed a new contract and stayed for another year or two he could have gone to a better team and we'd have got more more money for him. The feeling was that he went for the money and should have stayed for another year or two. Dario thought he could have played for England but I think he probably made the most of his ability tbh.
