I reckon he has, he was in the office today, apparently. Also, the way the club twitter are reporting it suggests that he's not just playing because we're desperate... But who knows why they're not just announcing it if he has. Maybe he'll be signing in the next day or two.

This bitchiness towards grown men doing their jobs is absolutely hysterical. Good on Owen Dale for wanting to make some money. Also good on Crewe for getting good money for somebody that has had 1 ok season. I'm glad he's forcing a move. IMO he isn't that good, and his price would drop over the course of this season. 3 league assists in his career, and it looks like we're getting in the high hundreds of thousands for him. Yes please!

And if this Brentford signing comes off, we probably have an upgrade on Dale. Win win for all involved.

Very good in his few appearances for us in league 2. Very poor 2nd half of last season in league 1. He looked overweight and not interested. I think there is a cracking footballer in there though.

Whilst we've netted sell on fees for Jamal Lowe and Sam Morsy, the tight bastards at Wolves won't shell out £12m to sign Kieffer Moore meaning we won't bank what would have been a big sell on for him. The similarly tight bastards at Barnsley won't shell out £400k to sign Tom Pearce, meaning we're stuck with him until January.

We've signed Joe Bennett on a free to go with Kerr and are apparently signing Curtis Tilt as well. Only Bennett has been announced so far though so we'll see...

MA's just said in his post match that Edun's fee is north of £500k, so to bank that and spend a rumoured £150k on replacement Jamie Robson from Dundee United isn't bad business...assuming he's half decent! He seems to have had a decent spell in Scotland and still only 23.

No 'keeper coming in, which isn't that much of a surprise. I think we'll either pick up an experienced freebie if possible or sacrifice that to ensure we're covered elsewhere.

In talks over Morgan Whittaker on loan from Swansea but that's dependent on them getting a player in.

Also tried to sign defender Trai Hume from Linfield. Nothing was happening there. Suspect that'll be one that runs into the next two transfer windows.

Max Melbourne has joined Stevenage on loan until January. Ultimately 5th choice CB and 3rd choice LB so regardless of our small squad size, you can't carry someone who's that far down the pecking order in two positions. Must be said though, since being told he can leave in the summer he's played fairly well at the beginning of the season when needed. Could have sulked but been a top professional.
