I'd prefer him or Hartigan to the Scottish lad we're linked with on loan. Atleast Morley or Hartigan would be a permanent signing & they both have very good pedigree at EFL level despite only being 21. If Campbell can't keep a place in a mid table SPL team why do we want to develop him for Aberdeen?
I'd give up on Hartigan if I was you .No chance we will be letting him go in January. He might go somewhere at the end of the season but not now

Looks like we will tie up the deal to bring Aaron Morley from Rochdale later Today beating several lg1 and Championship teams to his signature.
After two more this window Hartigan from Wimbledon and Dempsey from Gillingham
All have one thing in common....Out of contract in the summer get them all for a combine £1m now and that figure includes Charles and Morley

Sounds like we're going to bring in Connor Coventry from West Ham on loan. That would bring us up to 6 loanees, but I can't see Josh Martin getting too much game time going forwards so perhaps he will leave.

Also looks like we're pricing Swansea out of deals for Fisher and O'Riley. Good.

I thought he was on a season long loan at Peterborough? What went wrong there then?

We had Connor Coventry two seasons ago. Difficult to form too much of an opinion on him because it was a Covid hit season and we sold everyone in January so had a mish-mash of a, and unsettled, squad but I can't say he did anything of any note. I suppose you can view that one of two ways - either goes missing or keeps things ticking over nicely. I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt in his spell here, he was West Ham's U23 Captain and ROI U23's as well so obviously isn't that bad.

He's hardly played for Posh either so I wonder whether he'll be another to add to the long line of young players spending too much time in the bubble of a PL Academy and U23 football and has left it too late to get out on loan into the proper stuff. He's coming up to 22/23 I think and only had another year on his deal at West Ham (he signed a new deal there before coming here).

Sounds like we're recalling Max Melbourne from his loan spell at Stevenage. Doesn't look like he's played there since Tisdale went in but, more importantly, we're short on defenders after Montsma's injury on Saturday so we need him back.

He also can't play for anyone else this season having made appearances for both us and Stevenage so it makes sense to have him back here for the time being. Been transfer listed since the summer and been told he'll be leaving but he comes across as one of those who's accepted it and will still do his best, not down tools. MA's said he's only a short term measure, not a long term one so it might be we bring further cover in there later in the transfer window.

Cheers for that. It seems he is a defensive mid fielder so that could be useful but our loanee count is getting stupid. I know it's the way we all work but six?

Game time is my only thought. It's not like Corbeanu where we've prized a talent off of a fellow league one club, this screams of someone not quite good enough for the championship yet so is dropping down a level.

I see he's 21, nearly 22. Maybe I expect too much but if a player gets to that age and is going out on loan from a prem club to a club at this level he is surplus to their requirements and not expected to make the grade. I can't say I am that excited whereas Corbineau I am looking forward to seeing.

Cheltenham are set to sign Aaron Ramsey on loan today for 6 months.

Not the Wales international - the 18 year old brother of Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey (he's also at Villa).

We also have Charlie Colkett on trial. I know absolutely nothing about him, though he did have a loan at Shrewsbury apparently.

Morley deal all but done.

Looks like it’s a tie up between Dempsey and Hartigan, with Evatt stating today there’s a number of deals on the cards.

Fair enough, with our current strategy it's just see who's young with experience who have only got 6 months left on thier contracts & see if the clubs will take smallish fees instead of losing them for nothing as we'll know they'll all have big interest in them when they go to the free market in the summer. Hartigan was the first name that came up who we was linked with & that was months ago for some reason which seemed strange at the time most of us had never even heard of him. Seems like you'll be right because we've tried Rochdale with Morley & they've accepted whilst it looks like we turned to Dempsey at Gill who is in talks so that tells me we've moved on from Hartigan

We had Colkett on loan from Chelsea in 2017. He was a bit of a fancy dan, all flicks and tricks. Definitely what we didn't need as we were in a relegation struggle. Obviously raw and young at the time and clearly hasn't yet found his level, although made 60 appearances for Ostersund in Sweden but suspect looking for a permanent home in England. Was on trial at Coventry last year which came to nothing. Will be interesting to see if Cheltenham take a punt.

If he’s half has good as his brother (supposed to be better) then you’ve got one hell of a player. We had Jacob on loan the season cut short by Covid, if it hadn’t been he would have single-handedly dragged us into the playoffs

Apparently we have at least 3 coming in this week, no idea who, which position they play and wether they are loans or permanent it’s like secret squirrel up here.

He was exactly the same at Rovers . But he did score 3 I think.

He's been with us since he was a kid .We loaned him to Newport last season. He's improved a lot this season, technically he's very good and can pick a pass.As I said I think if he wants to go it's more likely to be in the summer. You never know though!!

I’ve seen him a few times and he’s been the best player on the pitch every time. Very envious if you sign him.

Also looks like we're pricing Swansea out of deals for Fisher and O'Riley. Good.
I see Fisher is off. The start of Swansea ripping the heart out of our team? If we are relying on Ravizzoli as goalkeeper we can say goodbye to any chance of promotion.

This whole saga has been misinformation after misinformation.

I’m not annoyed at losing Fisher, he’s a good keeper but not irreplaceable and his stats are actually very surprising in how low down the keeping charts he is. My main annoyance is that it’s all happened the day before one of the biggest games of the season and now we only have one professional goalkeeper who has never played an EFL game before. Thankfully we should have someone in place for Portsmouth, but that’s not helpful for tomorrow which is important for the club in multiple ways (we could go into the play off places with a win)

I wouldn’t say he is an ‘enforcer’ but he doesn’t shy from a tackle and he does work bloody hard.
His best qualities though are he ability to drive the team forward. He is terrific with the ball at his feet, can shoot, pass and dribble
He is, in my opinion, a fantastic midfielder who will get even better when he has a manager that can actually coach.
I honestly thought a championship club would take a punt on him so fair play to Bolton if they get him.
We are resigned to losing him anyway as we are a complete shit show just now.

Hearing Twine is a target for them, too. Got a nice 20% sell on plus the £300,000 we’ve already got.

They want O’Riley more supposedly, but everyone’s after Twine. He’s on a long term contract though so I’m confident of keeping him until at least the summer.

Want this signing more than the rest we are linked with......We employ someone to do the donkey work and due diligence on all our players [Chris Markham] and he knows him well from his Huddersfield days.
Sounds like a better version of Sarcevic
