Juan Castillo signed on loan from Chelsea and sounds like Marcus Browne from Middlesbrough won't be far behind.

Jackson confirms we're interested in Defoe.

Signed GK Jordan Wright from Nottingham Forest on an 18-month deal, which will now allow Sam Long to go out on loan.

Donny sign keeper Jonathan Mitchell.

He's not very good.

Only took 24 year hasn't it to get him back.

Wasn't he at yours before West Ham nicked him or am I thinking of someone else

Yeah think he was about 16 when poached.

I doubt we’d get him, I doubt he’d want to join after the abuse he’s received over the years.

I’m indifferent, I don’t hate him as much as a lot of our fans, I think it’s a bit harsh still holding something against him from when he was a kid and in reality he probably had very little say in.

I think if we are openly talking about it we must have some sort of agreement with the player and he must want to come as Evatt doesn’t usually name names of other clubs’ players. If we weren’t confident about it we would have moved on already.

But I have to say I really don’t like the fact a club can tap up players through agents now from any club before a bid is accepted or have been given permission. Happens all the time I know but I think it’s just wrong if someone is under contract. We shouldn’t be naming him until it’s done. If I was Gillingham or any other club in same situation I’d be adding a few grand on to the fee as a fuck you for unsettling in public.
Magnanimous of you to say mate but sadly it is the norm in pro football these days.
Pretty much everyone does it.
Anyway, I’m gunna win the Euromillions tonight and give the club the money to re-sign Dempsey

Connor Wickham’s come in until the end of the season. If he can stay fit that’s a very decent deal.

I'm shocked that he's only 28 and will he'll definitely give us a presence up front if we need a need a 'plan b'. Good signing if a bit out of left field.

Needs a break, there is a player in there if he gets a fair crack

Tyreece John-Jules coming in on loan

Any good DearneValleyRover ?
I’d have him back so yes, the key is keeping him fit, spends more time on the physio bench someone of his age should. In respect to his play, strong holds the ball up well but also know where the goal is and has a bit of skill about him.

Isn't he about 43 now?!

He's seemingly made of glass. I reckon he'll be one of those who is highly rated at a young age at a PL Club with international U21 caps but not pull up any trees going forward.

Did very little here, little at Donny(?), little at Blackpool as well.

He's not the worst player in the world, he's fairly quick and he can finish ok but I don't think he'll look like a player who's too good for L1 despite coming from Arsenal.

Remy Longdon has signed permanently for York, who he'd been on loan at since December.

Signed, resident Sunderland fan, any good plus rumour we are trying to sign Aidan O’Brien again, hopefully the paperwork gets done this time.
Ollie Younger only played a handful of games and he always done well in my opinion. Just for some reason couldn’t break into the first team and at 22 probably wants more game time which we couldn’t give him so i’m pleased for the lad that he has moved to Donny.I would have played him more personally especially as we can be leaky as fuck but i’m not in charge. The O’Brien one is a strange one, personally i don’t rate him but the guy does try and isn’t a goalscorer so if you do get him you are not signing goals, he has decent link up play at times but whilst we have no real striker back up i would be surprised to see him leave. He did come on at half time last week and play well and score a deflected effort so he might turn a corner here but i doubt it. Probably depends on us getting defoe or another striker before sending him packing.

Weak rumours that we're interested in Sunderland's out-of-favour Denver Hume. We are in the market for a left wing back so would make sense from that perspective. However, he's still got a year and a half on his contract so that would probably mean a transfer fee. Not sure how much we can afford.
Denver Hume played as a wing back could be great for you lot, great going forward just don’t ask him to defend because it really is his weak spot as are injuries. He can take players on and go on good forward runs so for that reason he could be perfect but his cons outweigh the pros imo. I’ll not be too downheartened to see him leave as i think the lad needs a move as he is down the pecking order here and could be the best thing for his career. Not wishing Pompey any luck today mate, nothing personal we just desperately need the points cos as you know Sunderland can’t get promoted through the play offs ever, and u lot never seem to ever win a play off game at all so only right u let us have 3 points to charge at autos. However it’ll be 1-1 or u lot will nick it imo. Got a bad feeling LJ’s run is continuing.

He does fit the bill by the sound of it. We're looking for attacking prowess at wing back rather than defensive ability. We have a solid defensive left back in Lee Brown but he doesn't fit the Cowleys system.

I agree that it's top two or bust for both of us with our lamentable play-off records.

In Karl Robinson;s interview today he basically said the market is nuts compared to other January windows with wage requests etc. Obviously Covid has had no impact!

Jack is out of contract at the end of the season.
He is a product of our academy however, and as we have already turned down seven figure bids for him (allegedly) then I would expect MK to have to pay a decent sum for him one way or another.

Fuck sake Ipswich. Just recalled 11 goal 19 year old battering ram Tyrese Simpson from his season long loan. That's a huge loss for us!!

Edited to add, If we are after Jack Tucker, does that mean Darlig is off to South Wales?

We need some serious incoming personnel if we are to continue a push for the playoffs. This window has hit us hard with loan recalls and forced sales. It's difficult to see whats best but loans while the cheapest way to get good players have shown us how much we are reliant on the good will of the parent club. If Chelsea recalled Cumming we would have a GK who has played the total of 1 league game. as No.1

Saying all that, I really don't want any shit or bust purchases. This season the division is way too strong and I don't think really we have any chance this year.

I can see us being in for him.
It’s thought that Ipswich are trying to force him to sign a contract extension by recalling him and dumping him back into their U23s until he does. Simpson was desperate to see out his loan with us. Hopefully he sticks to his guns, becomes a free agent in the summer and we re-sign him then.

He’ll be disappointed naturally as most loan players are when it’s going well but ultimately he’ll soon get over it when he’s playing higher.

11 goals this season in league two suggests he has huge potential so I’m sure he’ll have league one clubs in for him this month and in the summer.
