He’s the new Maynard, getting linked every window! Wouldn’t be a bad signing to compete with Wilson and hopefully Proctor but do wonder if he was a one season wonder

Suppose that’s what we have to look at. Similar to Paul Mullin a year ago I suppose. From what I can tell a lot depends on his strike partner so if you have him working around Proctor and then Wilson playing just behind that sounds pretty good to me. Obviously will see what the retained list looks like first when it’s done in the next day or so.

Dominic Ball confirmed from QPR, 2 year deal.
Many QPR fans shocked they didn't extend his contract. He'll offer cover and competition for Morsy.

How's Morsy doing these days? One of Micky Adams biggest mistakes was ostracising him after being an important part of our promotion team in 2013. He was always quite strong, even as a youngster, with decent ability on the ball. Glad to see he's forged a decent career for himself.

He's up there with Burns as our best player last season, during his injuries and suspension(s?) we looked a little found out in that department with no real like for like replacement.

Apparently Wigan have been sniffing round him but there's simply no way he's leaving this summer unless someone swoops from the higher reaches of the Championship and I don't see that happening.

Stephen Fletcher has appeared as a rumour on our forum. Can’t see it myself going direct from the lard to Vale is very rare!

Very much so, although assume he’d be winding down his career.
He bought a house down Buxton way when he left us for Stoke so expect he's looking to stay within a easy commute

I very much doubt we’d be in for Fletcher or he’d come for the wages we’d offer. Would imagine he’d go back to Scotland if anything. He’s also really slow if the shit fans views are anything to go by and we need pace. Would rather Edmondson from Leeds for another year.

So Burchnall has brought Michael Doyle with him as assistant, was still registered as a player at Notts so maybe could still do a job for us if the need arises? Always rated him as a player.

We're trying to tempt Marlon Pack back to the club where he started. He's previously stated that he has unfinished business here. Only 31 so still got a couple of decent years left in him, and would still be quality at League One level.

There is competition from Bristol City where he can stay in the Championship and no doubt be on better money, and Shrewsbury where he could link up with his old boss Cotterill. Fingers crossed.

Cotterill basically gifted him to us back in 2011.

Was a cracking player for Cheltenham and was always going to make the step up to the Championship. Never really had any pace either so should be able to do a job into his late 30s. I'd snap your hand off to have him back at Whaddon Road.

We’ve signed Matt Dennis from Norwich. Had a good spell on loan at Southend last season but I won’t pretend I’ve heard of him
Me neither but with Eisa out for a good while and Wickham gone we are going to need a couple of strikers minimum. He seems to have a good pedigree, ex Arsenal and Norwich. However going from National league to Division 1, who knows if it's a jump too far.

Anything in the Tom Bayliss rumours?

He definitely reminds me of Adam Barton, just floats through games

Given our pre season starts in less then 3 weeks I expect we'll be hearing something about the 4 remaining out of contract players who we have been in discussion with since the end of last season soon. Most expect Kane Wilson to sign for Bristol City, we're still hopeful our new manager (when he comes back from holiday) can try persuade Cadden to sign but it won't be easy, a lot of interest in him as well. Not sure on Sweeney and Diallo sounds like they want regular football which we probably can't guarantee, so might go elsewhere too.

With 12 players on our books inc Stevens who's out with an acl and a kid with no EFL experience expect we might make a couple of signings in the near future as we'll want a decent sized group to start training ideally.

Not sure tbh, he injured it at the start of April had surgery last month so will probably miss the first couple of months of the season you’d suspect.

Cowley is a big fan apparently. However, if a fee is required and/or Ipswich are interested then we have zero chance.

Alex Gorrin did his ACL in early November and will only be back this pre-season. And then there is no guarantee he'll be at a good starting point. Although we are pretty good at rehab etc.

Likewise Marcus Browne and Marcus McGuane took a long while to get back and I think they were ACL injuries as well.

Good luck to him though on his recovery.

Preston, Sheffield Wednesday and Posh linked with our keeper Dimitar Mitov.

I think he’ll go this summer and if we can get a good fee i’d he happy to sell him and bring someone else in.

I think ACL injuries can put people out for up to a year. It's one of the very worst injuries and sometimes it can happen again. I'd be amazed if Stevens is back before Christmas.

Is he good? Only seen him play once and we put 6 past him so probably not the best game to judge him from.

Makes sense that we’re in for a keeper with Peacock-Farrell going back to Burnley.

We're in the market for a backup keeper but last I heard we were looking at Siegrist from Dundee Utd who rejected their contract. Seems a lazy agent link.

Very good shot stopper and young so room to improve. Struggles with crosses but he’s athletic and saves us so many points this season.

He was named in the FA Cup team of the season and won all our player awards this season. I think anything over 500k and we’d sell him.

Big issue is how they recover as well, Enoch Andoh never played at EFL level again for example.
