20 year old Liam Bennett signed a two year deal with a further 12 months option. I'll be surprised if he is stil here come the end of this 3 year deal as the boy will be playing much higher.

First rumour for us is CM Alex Gorrin from Oxford.

Had a bad ACL injury this season but was becoming a squad player anyway based on how he was used before injury. Hence why we apparently only offered a 1 year deal. A defensive midfielder, good at breaking up play etc but not the best at distribution and can be a bit slow at it. Also, a yellow card waiting to happen and we had to sub him him a number of times as a result.

It sounds like I don't rate him when I liked him but he is a break up play and give it to somebody else type of player which is decent if you have creative players alongside.

Sam Baldock has signed a 2 year deal with us. Very happy with this but need to keep on top of potential injuries. He was starting to form a very good partnership with Matty Taylor.

I see Nixon the Journalist says there’s “ something in it” with regards to us wanting to sign the FGR wingback Cadden.

Is Robinson for the boot?

No. He'll have to do better this coming season if the rumours of improved budgets are true which will raise the pressure. He has been linked with other jobs as always. He also still has 2 years on his contract though

KR does talk some rubbish after games in interviews but wears his heart on his sleeve and he has been good for the club including with the development off the pitch which he has been deeply involved in. He went to watch our women team's final game (away game) of the season midweek even though it had nowt on it as we couldn't catch champions Southampton. Watches as many Academy/Youth/u23 games as possible as well. I like him as he clearly cares, tries to play entertaining football and has improved the club.

Signing Sam Baldock on for 2 years is a good start for next season, assuming we can keep the injuries down to a minimum.

A midfielder who's competent in putting a tackle in will be more than welcomed. We're 2.5 years into Bridcutt's stay here (soon to be released I suspect) and we still haven't managed to source a midfielder capable of having a go at replacing him and being able to tackle and not empty the midfield on a regular basis!

Apparently looking at Ayoub Assal at AFC Wimbledon, don’t really know much about him to be honest.

A Huddersfield promotion will see us get £350k from the Harry Toffolo deal apparently, so up the Terriers, even though Brennan Johnson in the PL with Forest would be nice.

First proper rumour is that we're in for GK Lee Burge following his release from Sunderland. Spent most of his career in L1 with Coventry and Sunderland so you'd imagine he's a fairly solid L1 'keeper.

It's been very quiet on the transfer front for league one but suspect we'll start to see more movement this week.

Our players return to pre-season three weeks today.

The season starts on 30th July this season so it’s been cut by a week.

No rumours yet from us on any transfers but I'm hoping we make a few over the next 10 or so days, I'm bored!

Really tenuous one but Dom Telford was in among the Vale fans on Saturday apparently. Local lad and out of contract at Newport. Probably come to nothing like most of them though.

Don’t anticipate us doing quite as much as we did last summer in the market. Maybe a few just to add to what we already have.

Lapado to Ipswich is on their forum. Rotherham fans were rather critical of him last season were they not?

Confirmed on Twitter.

Its not an exciting signing really but I guess it is a free one…

Apparently so. He’d have a job getting ahead of Lucas first :)

Do you need frees? I thought you were loaded?

Why waste money if you think you can get the players you want for free. Leaves you the money for others needed

We needed a couple of forwards so I suspect we’ll see another before the start of the season.

He's scored 34 in 104 games, 15 of them this season despite not having played in half the games and we will be a better attacking side for him. I'm more than happy with it.

He’s the new Maynard, getting linked every window! Wouldn’t be a bad signing to compete with Wilson and hopefully Proctor but do wonder if he was a one season wonder
