Looks like Luke McNally is off to Burnley for circa £2 mill. It’s his first season in full-time professional football having signed from St. Pats.

He hasn’t played a whole season but his physique, athleticism and staggering progress he looks like he’ll be capable of Premier League football some day. A huge talent. If he’s off it’ll be a blow on the pitch at least (even if the money is welcomed).

Rumours that Callum Johnson of Portsmouth and Louis Reed of Swindon are signing and could be announced today.

Where have you heard that mate? Nothing our end re Reed. Would be a huge blow to us if that was accurate. More likely to be Jack Payne as Reed is under contract and Payne has an offer from us that I suspect is a pay cut. Charlton wanted Payne in January but he got injured. After his injury he was excellent and he'll be badly missed when he does go.

Johnson had a pretty good first season with us, but the Cowleys really didn't fancy him at all and shipped him out on loan.

I think they value attacking abilities well ahead of defensive abilities for their wing backs / full backs and so it was a system thing rather than anything else. Lee Brown fell victim on the left for the same reason. Johnson will do a good job if the system suits.

Only the usual social media/forums. Saw Reed’s name pop up a few days ago and a couple of people on the club forum who’ve had info before seem to think there’s a couple of players at the training ground today and that it’s Johnson and Reed.

Could obviously be bollocks but as these people have been right before, it can’t have just come from nowhere.

Yeah, it’s a strange one as we’ve been led to believe Garner likes to play the same way. Again like the Reed rumour, could be bollocks.

Dont think Evatt was after him as a wing back.....Way too many wingers in our squad as it is
Hopefully Derby get something sorted out this week and he fucks off there

We need a better winger than Isgrove, Barkhuizen is that player.

Can’t rely on just two wingers all season either. Barkhuizen fills a gap, improving on the Hamburg lad from last season.

Another striker and CB, assuming Bradley is completely in the next day or so - We’re looking half-decent again.

Last season's number one is going to Walsall on a free. He became the scapegoat with a number of our fans for being instructed to play it out from the back, and generally not being very confident in our defenders' ability to do so. Rarely at fault for any of the goals we conceded although, like all keepers, he would have been culpable for a couple.

Plymouth fans will remember Danny Mayor's wonderful strike in their home game against us, a volley from the edge of the box into the top corner. No keeper had a chance. I saw an idiot on Twitter criticising Evans for not diving for a shot he literally had no chance of getting, such was the blame he had heaped upon him.

I wish him all the best, and hope he regains the confidence he had when he came to Cheltenham on loan for the second half of the 19/20 season. He more than deserves it.

Bradley is the one that excites me......may be a upgrade on Fossey
Another centre back and i still think we need that Bastard in midfield to push MJ
We have also signed up to 6 new players all around the 20 year old mark for our new B team and i would hope at least one of those is pushing for the first team come the new year
Major contract signed today for this years shirt sponsor
All in all the club is moving forward.

Good honest lge2 pro.......Not going to improve you
He’s a good L1 CB in my opinion and will be perfect for the way Garner wants to play at Charlton.

It’s a good signing, one I’m disappointed we’ve missed out on.

Considering we’ve only got one senior centre back I reckon he probably

Dont see him better than our first 3 centre halfs which will be Jones Santos and Iredale. Is he better than Johnstone and Aimson who will be back up..............Tucker who went to MK Dons is a bigger loss

If we are to break into the top 6 we need players who will dislodge the first three and not settle as back up

Lots of rumours on twitter now suggesting Dom Telford is in advanced talks to sign for Vale. Have to see.

He hasn’t signed for Bolton so all that is irrelevant.

Genuine question, how many times have you seen him play to form an opinion to disagree with fans who watched him most weeks?

I've honestly never seen someone be so narcissistic about a football club.

Did you see the photoshop one of those rumours pages did of him in the Vale shirt? Done the poor bloke no favours making out his head is bigger than the rest of his body. If it happens I think it gives us pace up front which we don’t really have right now.

Ah fair enough, I’ll ring the club later and see if I can get a refund on my season ticket.

Dean Lewington is 38 years old and is better than all of those players you've just named.

Our first signing of the summer is 20 year old Daniel Adshead from Norwich. We've apparently paid a fee for him. I know nothing about him though other than what I've just read in this story:

finally!! Former Norwich City midfielder Daniel Adshead is CTFC's first signing, he's been out and about but spent time with Gillingham this season, any comments Gills fans?

Yeah looked like one of those Corinthian figures I had as a kid!

He would complement us well as Wilson is more of a deeper laying and wide striker, Proc's if he signs back on is a target man so a poacher would sit nicely, just worry about if it's a one season wonder thing!
