You have got a cracking player there and wish him well. He had a lot of bad luck with injuries and hope those are now behind him.
Hopefully, but we had enough injury cases last season to get too excited about another one. I see he hasnt played since October?!

Did you see the photoshop one of those rumours pages did of him in the Vale shirt? Done the poor bloke no favours making out his head is bigger than the rest of his body. If it happens I think it gives us pace up front which we don’t really have right now.

The Crewe/Dan Agyei approach.

Good on him. I have to be honest he doesn’t convince me and especially on crosses has little command of the area. On another day the two errors from him in the playoff final could easily have led to us losing that game and he needs to iron that out. Would rather hear about the three out of contract players at this point though.
I would still like a number 1 and develop Stone further as back up assuming Covolan wont feature again?

The out of contract one is weird as a tweet went out about 3 weeks ago that Benning had signed then was quickly deleted!

Connor Bradley deal done. Excellent addition.

Good to see he’s ™️ ‘highly rated’.

Looks like the club is teasing that Jamie Proctor has signed a new deal, huge boost if so.

Loan or signing? Looking at his history he's spent a good bit of time at Oxford on loan. At 24 I doubt hes ever going to play for West Ham though.

Edited to add, just seen his contract has expired so I presume a free signing.
He wasn’t close to being a starter for us. In fact he often didn’t even make the bench.

I gather if we really wanted him, we would have got something tied up months back. Unlike other players who have joined us, he just never really seemed to improve during his time with us. He’s effectively near the same player that joined two years ago.

Some decent goals, mind (important ones too!). I quite liked him however I’m not sure I’d entrust him over a season to be a difference maker. He’s an average League One winger and at 24 he needs to play. Allegedly he has chronic issues with hamstrings which require managing for the rest of his career.

Does he have something about him? Yes. He definitely has ‘something’. West Ham produce some decent players, however based on the MK side we faced late in the season, he won’t get anywhere near your side.

Would be a free signing as we had him on loan last season. We have apparently talked to him but he would have been a squad player with us, as Marcus Browne is streets ahead as a player if our formation is using wingers, and he isn't a wing back.

He can do the sublime (about 3 minutes) in his 1st spell on loan with us which ended quickly after with an injury:

But the problem is that it he can only really play as a left winger, and whilst he can go on the outside, he does like to cut in on to his right foot a lot but that can be effective (about 1m 50, our 3rd goal):

Also, he'll put the effort in defensively but can be weak in the tackle. In addition, there is a reason he has played so little 1st team football for a 24 year old and that is, sadly for him, injury problems. Last season was his first full season of 1st team football after the previous season and half had pretty much been a write off due to injury. Rumours of a long term hamstring injury (haven't a clue if actually true) so he'll need to be managed for his injury risks.

Although, last season being he's first full season of 1st team football could be a positive as I reckon he'll develop just that it'll be at a later age. He undoubtedly has potential and although it seems like I have a downer on him, I'd happily have had him re-sign for us but it would be as a squad player.

Our record signing is still £50k, so I highly doubt it
Ours is £12.33M........ a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Maybe we should have put some of that money by :eyes:

He hasn’t signed for Bolton so all that is irrelevant.

Genuine question, how many times have you seen him play to form an opinion to disagree with fans who watched him most weeks?
Seen him a few years back with Bury and more recently with Rochdale
As i said a good honest pro but he would not improve us......nothing wrong in that it is just a opinion

Dean Lewington is 38 years old and is better than all of those players you've just named.
Better than Santos who has made the div2 and div1 pfa team of the season the last two seasons......ok

Looks good on paper, not much to go on but same could be said as Fossey at the time. His EPL U21 stats are phenomenal for a full back so hopefully he can convert it to the mens game. You just know if he does do well that they'll recall him & shaft him out to a champ team in Jan though.

Will be interesting to see if Telford does sign for Vale whether he can keep his goalscoring form up. Think last year was the only really prolific season he's had, so could be that was his breakthrough season and he's ready to push on or he could be a one season wonder.

Re read what i am saying or what i am trying to put across.....I said he was a decent player but not one we should target as we had players who in MY opinion are better than him.
If we are to challenge the top 6 we need to improve our first 11 and not sign squad players.
vaulkes signing for Wed is the quality of player we need. If you cannot understand my point of view i may as well give up

He’s off to Bristol Rovers on todays rumours so probably end up at Wrexham in the end!

Just over £11 million for us (Elmander) with Anelka costing just under £11 million.

Those days are long gone for the time being.

Will Vaulks signs

Will was great for us and you won't find a harder working player at the club or in the community.

He has a great long throw and never shirks a tackle, he can also hit some amazing 40 metre passes from one side of the pitch to the other.

His downsides are that he is pretty slow by modern day football standards and he will get plenty of yellow cards.

Would I have wanted him back at Rotherham?

Probably sentimentally, but he would have to have improved to get in front of Barlaser, Wiles and Rathbone.
Also his wages are way out of our pay structure even though we are pushing the boat out a bit this year.

He'll be able to get back to his brilliant work for Bluebell Wood, who I heard are in a bit of trouble funding wise, so good luck to him for that.

Of course wishing him to do well at Wednesday is a bridge too far......sorry.

Good, good prospect lost out to Mc atee at City for last seasons u21 player of the league. Only 18 but has 8 full Northern Irish caps

From what I saw of him… yes. Santos was awful at our place.
Santos indeed has the odd shocker but overall he is as good as anything in lge1
pfa team of the season the last two seasons backs that up

Afraid that's the case, before last season he had considerable lay offs. As I said just hope he keeps fit for you lads, think if you get 25 games out of him that will be good

We’re being linked with Cameron John, CB released by Doncaster injured for most of last season.
