We are linked to signing former Arsenal youth Jack Jebb, the club reportedly denied that we have signed him but wouldn't comment on if their was an interest.

He was banned in the past for racially abusing on opponent, I feel like Robins is really trying hard to build a team full of pricks.

He looks like an absolute bellend too.

Chairman denying any interest in Jebb.

Heavily linked with josh Morris on a free from Blackburn, was at fleetwood last season on loan, few pics going around that might be him today at the ground. Don't know much about him. Any fleetwood fans on here rate him?

Wonder why Fleetwood are not right in there? We are rumoured to be watching what unfolds with Morris, but I don't know how seriously.

Not a transfer, but McSheffrey has signed a 1-year contract. He was out of contract with us, but returned for pre-season testing today and signed a new deal. I'm pleased with that. He still has some quality for this level, particularly with dead ball situations and importantly with crosses.

Not a player (anymore), but Gills legend Andy Hessenthaler has left the club to become assistant manager at Orient.

The only reason a player chooses Fleetwood over Bradford would be a shed load of money. I understand Fleetwoods money has dried up a bit.

Or the fact that Fleetwood could do better this season? Why are you patronising them? Yes of course they are a small club who have done well to get where they are but don't forget what Bradford were/are too, a historically L1/L2 club.

Historically been at this level the most followed fairly closely by 2nd tier, but I agree there's no need to be patronising towards Fleetwood.

If you think a player would rather join a bigger club for £2,000 a week than a smaller club than for £3,000 a week you're deluded. Players may say it in their interviews when they sign ''massive club can't wait to get started" but deep down the player doesn't care that the clubs big or not, he's out to get the best wage possible for him and his family. These aren't players who are rich, a extra grand or £500 a week is quite a lot for a lower league player.

Point in case: Andy Williams turned down the Blades for us.

Timmy Thiele(23) a German striker previously on the books of Borussia Dortmund due to sign for the Brewers. Know nowt about him other than that. So will have to trust in JFH's judgement.

Strong but predictable rumours we're set to sign Billy Sharp. Cant say I'm that bothered, not been the prolific striker we need for a while now and currently id prefer Done and us sign a target man for him to play off. Stephen Davies also rumoured to be on trial, he apparently would prefer to come here over Donny but Adkins wants a look for himself first.

A few names mentioned today;

Josh Morris - a fan with a Scunny Chairman link who had told him that they were interested, but he has declined the offer. Also confirmed that we're close to signing.

Paul Anderson - don't you love social media? Our very own Alan Sheehan commented on a pre-season picture taken this aft', with Paul Anderson commenting "see you soon". Of which could mean anything.

Matt Derbyshire - a picture was taken of a player being shown around the ground today, but coincidently, it wasn't good enough to verify who it may have been. Needless to say, it sorta looked like Matt Derbyshire. Literally hours later, a somewhat no mark transfer rumour profile of Twitter confirms that Rotherham have turned down a £1m bid for Derbyshire from a L1 club ...of which they understand to be Wigan. Coincidence?

Mark Bradley - another name mentioned on more than one occasion today.

In addition, the takeover talks are rumoured to be back on, hence the lack of transfer activity.

They're mates. Paul Anderson is best buds with Matt Alexander who was our head of recruitment, he came and watched us a couple of times and even trained with us for a while for some reason (probably where he met Sheehan), which meant some people thought he was signing for us...which he obviously wasn't. So yeah.

That aimed at me? I was agreeing with you, but correcting your view of our historical league standing.

I don't disagree that players will nearly always go for the money.

Linked with Josh Wright from Leyton Orient.

All I know about him is he once scored a worldie for Scunthorpe against Manchester United and his brother is that knob from TOWIE.

No mate to 'Spike' who thinks because Bradford are a bigger club than Fleetwood a player would automatically choose them over Fleetwood but that isn't how it works or else Cov would have a good team.

I read that.
Does anyone know what happened there?
Nope it was never disclosed. Bit strange he'd come up from Swansea in the first place if something was going on his life and then go back a day later. It was under Pressley anyway, so it probably has more to do with him being a knob than Donnelly.

Great player. Shame we couldn't meet his wage demands
