I can’t really see that happening at all. 19 games in L2 his only football league experience at the age of 27, no disrespect to the lad but we should be aiming a bit higher than that.
totally agree. We either should be bringing in someone young who has promise for the future, lIke the lad rumoured from Wellington or someone proven at league one or above who will tip the scales for promotion this year. Khan does not fit either criteria.

Killian Phillips signs on a season long loan from Crystal Palace.

He’s a 6ft3 box to box centre midfielder and the reviews on him are exciting. Adds to our already team of giants. Cotterill says we beat 6 or 7 other clubs to signing him just because Rob Street told him how much he’s fallen in love with Salop. Good to see us forming a healthy relationship with a Premier League club.

Jay Matete would be an interesting signing but no chance of us getting him on loan.

Interesting one, a 21 year old striker called Ben Waine was in the directors box tonight at Home Park. Striker for Wellington Phoenix, playing in the A League. Apparently we had a six figure bid rejected in the summer, so Schumacher must really like him.

Someone also reckoned Charlie Austin was there, and that someone had a photo with him. Don’t believe that though.

Rangers apparently interested in our current starting keeper James Trafford (Man City loanee).

Would be a disaster if he departed in January as he’s been brilliant for us and I’d be far from confident of us finding a replacement who’s as good.

Rangers are a huge club who got to a European final 6/7 months ago and only lost it on pens. The level of league is irrelevant if it’s Celtic or Rangers calling. It depends on whether he thinks he has a chance of playing for City long term. I know a physio at city who says they sold Bazunu because they really really rate Trafford and the staff there think he has a massive future …but let’s be realistic he’s never getting in ahead of Ederson is he.

he is the best keeper i've seen this season
Cooper at Plymouth has been class as well this season.

Traff just gets better and better week on week. Just as important to us as Conor Bradley but Bradley gets all the plaudits. Best gk we’ve had since Jaaskelainen in the prem years in my opinion. No way we could replace him like for like if he went in Jan.

Yet he’s the worst opposition keeper I’ve seen so far this season. Remember Joe Hart having a stinker against Boston United years ago and then was snapped up by City a few months later. Just how football goes isn’t it!

Ben Waine confirmed from Wellington Phoenix who play in the A league, undisclosed fee. 21 year old New Zealand striker. We had a six figure bid rejected in the summer and apparently we’ve beaten Championship clubs to his signature, excited to see what he can do!

I think (hope) we might be in the market for defenders. Though I doubt it will be six figures of anything. How the other half live..

Looks like we’re also signing Saxon Earley from Norwich, who’s been on loan at Stevenage. Left wing back, “for a lot of money” apparently, according to Steve Evans.

Hardly. He signed for us. Might have been a mate.

We’ve recalled Liam Bennett from his loan at Walsall where he’s apparently been excellent. Desperate for numbers as much as quality at the moment so was a no brainier.

The only man who can make a free signing sound like a multi-million pound move.

Seen a few clubs announcing loanees have been recalled already. Hopefully if Oxford do decide to do the same with Jack Stevens can do it quickly so we can set about finding a replacement. Might get somewhat of a clue tomorrow at FGR if he plays or not.

I agree that bottom half may be slightly unrealistic. Looking at the clubs in this league I believe we would probably sit between 10th and 12th.

Don’t all clubs get a list of what budgets are from top to bottom in the league albeit the clubs are not named but you can obviously see where your own is in comparison? Would have thought the bigger challenge for Plymouth and Exeter for that matter is for many players it can be a long old way to uproot your families to get them to sign even if it is a very nice part of the world.

Love these managers who seem to think they know every other budget in the division
To be fair, Clubs get a list twice a season of budget sizes, but not whose budget it is.

I did not know this was a thing. Not sure whys its a thing either as surely you spend by your means. Plus if there are no names then you are always going to underplay where you really are or other clubs put their prices up

Will be an interesting January for us.

Poole will attract interest and it wouldn't surprise me if House started to as well. Davenport is out of contract and hasn't been involved recently. Feel a bit sorry for him because he was signed on a short term deal at a time when we were playing three in midfield.

Diamond can't play for another side this season because he's played for us and Sunderland and I can't imagine they'll recall him. Garrick, reading between the lines, hasn't settled and perhaps has some issues outside of football, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he going back to Swansea.

We need some attacking impetus in wide areas (both wing back and front three wide). We're relatively solid down the centre of the pitch but it does mean we can be a bit stodgy and disjointed going forward.

Been a thing for years now, I wasn't sure whether it was still happening until our CEO mentioned it a year or so back at a Fans Forum.
