He'll be banned for a while so I'm not sure anybody's going to be rushing to sign him. 313 bets he placed over 13 months. For comparison Ivan Toney got an 8 month ban for 232 bets.

Thanks for translating.

I’d say Key but it’s close. Have a feeling that Key will do well in the Championship next season. Wilson is very good though and not much between them.

I rate Key, Wilson i really did not know much about. I remember him at Tranmere but i did not know until today he was lge2 player of the season the year before last.
Looks like we are signing Tranmere rwb Josh Cogley. I again know little about him

Think they will push each other for that rwb spot and it seems Wilson is just coming back from a injury

As much as some Vale fans love to ball-wash him on Twitter that would not be very smart. Mitch isn’t a bad lad but he just can’t stop himself from doing stupid shit whether it’s the betting charges (which he would almost certainly serve some sort of ban for) or last time he was with us having his loan cut short after being done for drink driving. It’d be a matter of time.

It sounds like we have signed Callum Elder, which is gaining more and more traction. It turns out Vickers was signed and interviewed over three weeks ago - looks like we’re just staggering our signings. I’d be very happy with Elder as a wing back signing. Solid player, decent going forward and has a good track record at this level.

Sam Smith, Curtis Nelson, Aden Flint, Wes Harding and Sonny Bradley are the other names flying around. Nelson and Bradley seem to be most reputable. I’m surprised none of it has really come out, though, so guess we will wait and see.

Rob Street set to be our first signing of the summer - played on loan at Shrewsbury last season and their fans seemed to rate him
One of life’s mysteries to me is why some of our fans rate Street so highly. I’ve told you my thoughts on him a few weeks back, so I won’t repeat them again. Pompey definitely got the better loan striker that we had last season in Saydee put it that way.

Meanwhile… still no signings and no man in charge at our end. We’ll announce our new head coach by Monday or Tuesday at the latest next week though. Nobody has any idea who it could be which is rare as there’s always one or two who seem to be ‘ITK’ but nothing this year.

I really like Key too. Looked quality whenever I saw him this season.

I think both our new lads will get plenty of game time. Wing backs in our system cover the most ground in a game and the only reason we didn’t sub Bradley after 60-70 mins to freshen up was because it was Bradley. He’s impossible to replace but when both the new boys are fit I see 1 starting and 1 getting 20/30 mins nearly every game. Do you think we will be after a left wing back too? I can see us shipping John out… unless Evatt is happy with Iredale there to compete with Randell (who will start this season IMO - I can see us really utilising that long throw this year). I prefer Iredale at left centre back personally anyway.

Also linked with an Aussie international midfielder this morning… who Norwich had a bid turned down for in January. Keanu Baccus

You should be fine - according to an interview with Micky Moore last week he is the sole reason we had any success over the last few years. Him and absolutely no-one else.

Bullshit of course, but then given who gave him the job at Cheltenham, it's no surprise that he loves himself so much.

I listened to Micky’s first Salop interview last week. Sounds like a right egotistical fool. Sounds like if it wasn’t for him, you’d be either scraping at the bottom of League 2 or even in the Conference. Obviously I don’t believe that for one second. Very full of himself but he’s putting a lot of pressure on his own shoulders as us Salop fans are now expecting big things from him.

And a 2nd right wing back on the same day in Dacres-Cogley from Tranmere… also know very little about him … anyone??
Decent right back.

Crawley had him on loan from Birmingham a couple of seasons ago.

Gets back and forward. Defends and attacks well. Obviously a step up in level but should make the transition pretty easily.

As suspected, Callum Elder is announced. Really like this signing for us - much more accomplished footballer than Roberts at this stage of his career so feel like he will be a significant step up in a very important position for us.

He has an eye for a player, there is no doubting that, and it sounds crass to negate him completely.

But in the interview last week he was taking credit for Michael Duff's tactics. Given what Duff went onto do with Barnsley, and likely will do at Swansea, it just smacks of me me me.

As someone I know posted on Twitter when they read the article, there's no I in team, but there's two in Narcissist.

Seems Peterborough will be keeping Taylor a while longer as we've pulled out and now seem to be targetting Knight from Derby. I wonder if El Mizouni may go the other way in a part ex deal.

We’ve signed Max Sanders on a two year deal. Had him down as a maybe signing.

Lincoln fans kept saying he wasn’t the most consistent IIRC. Have to hope Wellens can continue his record of improving players.

Quite like Max, came in with a good reputation from Brighton but never really cemented a regular place in the side under Appleton or Kennedy even when we had injuries in CM. With the excellent Erhahon and the new signing of Smith, Sanders wasn’t likely to be first choice. Give him a regular start and think he will be an ok signing for you.

Neither Appleton or Kennedy, who are both different in their styles that we've seen so far, managed to get a tune out of Sanders. The former pretty much called him out for continuing to play like he was still in a PL U23 side and told him to snap out of it if he wanted to play games.

Everyone was clamouring for him to start, as is often the case where players become better if they're not being picked, but as it turned out, when he played this season he wasn't better than what we already had. It was the right decision to move him on this summer, we've seen the level of CM we need in L1 and it isn't him. I'd cut him some slack because our CM options have been horrendous at times in his 2.5 years here and he hasn't been paired very often with a semi-competent midfield partner so that hasn't helped him but he's very 6/10 in everything - not quick, not fast, not tall, not strong, doesn't score, doesn't create - so all a bit 'meh' and that was why he was 5th choice for us for most of last season. Fairly tidy on the ball, though.

Does come across as someone who needs a run of games but he never got that here. He started the season in a midfield of him, Oakely-Boothe and Sorenson and it got dismantled pretty quickly IIRC and was part of the start of a phase we had of signing the samey, lightweight, semi-technical PL U23 types.

Exeter sign Vincent Harper from Eastleigh on a 2 year deal.

Good pick up that one, the boy is absolutely rapid but needs refinement, I think Exeter is an excellent place for him to develop.

Yeah, very happy with this signing. We’ve also got the option of a 3rd year too. We have Demetri Mitchell as our first choice LWB so Harper will have to wait for his chance.

One thing we needed was more pace so this is a pleasing signing and a good start to our business.

Looks like something has gone on with John......Got the quality but not sure about attitude
Dont see Iredale getting a game unless Johnston is moved on

happy with that.....Get that lad from St Mirren then a out and out goalscorer and we will be there or there about
Think we’ll end up with Nlundulu back to be honest.. and I don’t mind that because I think there’s a player in there. I want to see him after a proper pre season with us. Doesn’t look like we’ll need many if any loans this season.

We are after Oxford’s Jack Stevens who was on loan to Port Vale last season.

Most likely a back up.
Just officially announced the signing of Stevens. Vale fans have made it abundantly clear that he was shit for them. I'm hoping he was a bit better at Oxford, otherwise looks like it's a poor start to our summer rebuild.
