£200k is the talk and assume we’d have a sell on clause in there too for future sale.What’s a good deal as almost certainly Stoke when we signed him would have inserted a sell on percentage? I like Will but it’s more a case of buying potential than the finished article. Hopefully Lewis Cass can stay injury free this season and he would more than slot into there.
If say Stoke have 20% then we’d still have probably 3k a week for next seasons wage budget for example which could be a big boost.
Assume the Salford lad was signed with this in mind.
As you say he’s got potential but not the finished article, made some big errors in games (Charlton away, Derby home, Bristol Rovers away, all be it was a foul in there but wasn’t strong enough) so very much a lot to learn.
If we signed him for virtually nothing and make £150k profit in 12 months plus potential for more down the line then it’s a good deal.
