wow, please take him!! Although he's on over 12k a week. I assume the rumour is a loan?
Was from an Ipswich account, so may well have just been someone noticing he's not training on you and guessing possible destinations, they didn't hint at what sort of transfer. We wouldn't be able to offer anything over £2k a week I'd have thought.

There's talk on message board's from ITK posters that we have bids in for two players totalling approx £1.3m.

Nothing to substantiate this, but if true then it seems as if our owners are really going for it this year. Unless it's forward planning based on Bishop / Morrell being sold.

I'm hoping for us to make at least one more signing in Dishon Bernard who has been released from Man Utd and was on loan with us for the second half of last season, but there will be plenty of competition.

Linked all summer with Acrington's Tommy Leigh who is a local lad and released as a youngster. Appears to be a difference in ours and Accrington's valuations at present.

Also had rumours of Panutche Camara from Ipswich flying about yesterday too. As you say, wondering if it means that either Bishop or Morrell are out the door, or if we have decided to go full tilt this season.

Apparently press are reporting we have agreed a deal with AFC Wimbledon midfielder Ethan Chislett who had been linked with Bolton and Wycombe... South African but know little other than that, seems to have a few goals last season for them from midfield.

I'd be quite surprised at that. We paid 500k for him and he just spent the whole time injured. So, I'd imagine we'd want quite a decent fee. We are very much stacked in midfield, though.

I recommended him to Rovers before he signed for AFCW. Good player but havent kept tabs on him since

11 goals in 51 apps last season so looks promising but have to admit no idea on him otherwise.

He was a standout player at Aldershot when I saw him a number of times. Seems to have improved over time at Wombles. good signing imo

Rumours on our forum that we are looking to sign Aaron Lewis who has left Newport. I dont know much about him but was previously at Lincoln

We have resigned Keiron Bowie from Fulham on Loan. Had him last season in L2 and performed well. Can play across the front line and despite being only 20 has a real physicality to him. Needs to improve his goal output but we did not exactly create a ton of chances for him. Happy to have him back though.

Mmm. I'm not 100% sure on it either way. Bowie never let us down, but he wasn't a stand out performer, and we haven't really improved ourselves, even if consistency can sometimes breed results.

Looks like the chatter was about a possible loan deal. Sounds like it's not happening anyway and he wants to stay and fight for his place.

I’ll be honest the first have ever seen of Chislett is the YouTube clips of some of his goals from distance. From what Wimbledon fans have said on Twitter he’s a good free kick taker too.

He's a decent player but nothing special. Technically quite good and a decent free kick taker . He scored from a few last season. He's just one of those player's that as a Wimbledon supporter we wouldn't of minded if he had stayed but the majority won't be bothered that he's gone.He tends to go missing in game's.

Pretty good. Looks like we actually did some planning this time.

It's great to have pretty much a full squad already in place by early July. Gives us time for a proper pre-season and team bonding. Something we've really lacked the last few years and seemed to affect team spirit whenever we hit a rough patch.
Very happy with Whyte and Scully as both have good numbers and attributes to supply Bishop. All the others seem to be bog standard league one players, but I suppose you need that in a squad. Jury is out on Will Norris, but he must have got a move to Wolves and Burnley for a reason. Devlin looks a prospect from Ireland, and Saydee looks a decent backup for Bishop. Yengi could be the next Jamal Lowe if coached right, but at 24 having not had a full season is a tad worrying. If we can get a decent attacking midfielder (leigh from Accrington) and hopefully good young CB (Bernard who's currently away with Jamaica, ex man u youngster on loan here last season) I think it's a very complete squad. I don't think you need a team full of superstars to get promoted from league one, a decent defence and a few match winners.
Cheers, I'm not sure what I was expecting tbf but aside from Scully and Whyte, who's name rings a bell, they do seem very uninspiring signings but maybe it's just me unfamiliarity with them and also your existing squad.

He was a weird one really. Cowley signed him on a 6 month deal, Appleton gave him an 18-month extension but only played 5 times and left by mutual consent. Was a victim of having Eardley in front of him in the pecking order so we never really saw a great deal of him but seemed to have done half decent at Newport.

Sounds like Louis Dodds! Maybe a league higher might suit him if he's a technical player? I found anyone with half an ounce of ability didn't really have the chance to showcase it in league 2.

Midfielder isn’t he? Unless his position has changed recently.

Anyway some of your fans are claiming the player we missed out on today is him. Have to say if true I’m not too disappointed about it. Not a bad player but not the type we need imo.

Strong suggestions including the BBC that Josh Key is having a medical at Swansea. The usual undisclosed fee, possibly a million

Yeah there is more football played in league 1 . He did play in league 1 with us. He's probably improved a bit since then so he might do ok.

Rumours are it is him yeah.

We've overloaded with midfielders now and he doesn't seem the RWB type although he can play Right Back so I would imagine he is more squad player, as it stands we have:

Tom Conlon
Funso Ojo
Ben Garrity
Connor Grant
Tom Sang
Tommy McDermott
Ethan Chisett
Jason Lowe
Plus James Plant can play in there.

so some good competition there in what was probably a bit of a weaker area last season for us.

Need a left back and strikers now!

Cheers for that. Apparently Coughlan was bigging him up as a potential Welsh international last season and they offered him a new deal so he must have impressed

I’m not even convinced it was him. I think people have just put 2 and 2 together.

Like I say, he’s a decent player but absolutely not the profile of midfielder we currently need and I honestly can’t visualise our manager targeting him.

He was a Wales U21's international. I'm pretty sure he fell out with Appleton here because he was injured and as soon as he got fit, instead of staying for a Pizza Cup game to get some fitness he went off and reported for international duty despite it being unlikely to get any game time and duly got injured again.

You may well be right, I think people saw your managers comments about nearly having someone through the door until he signed elsewhere and saw a north west based player in Lowe and assumed it could be him.

I think just looking at our midfielders in the squad now might end up seeing one or two departures. I’d imagine that Tom Conlon sadly for him is looking the odd man out in all of this. Probably send out McDermott to the conference or one of the regional levels for experience too.

We're absolutely fucked, no new players want to sign for us because we're so fucking tinpot aren't WE! I mean just look at our training facilities! Proper non league standard!!!

We must be one of the luckiest ever sides to get promoted to L1.
We had the 4th LOWEST budget in L2 last season.

Also the worst ever strip we've ever had for this season.

Will Forrester to Bolton looks a done deal, should give us some funds towards a striker or two.

Shame to let him go but very hit and miss last season at times, if we’ve made good money then it’s a good deal.

What’s a good deal as almost certainly Stoke when we signed him would have inserted a sell on percentage? I like Will but it’s more a case of buying potential than the finished article. Hopefully Lewis Cass can stay injury free this season and he would more than slot into there.
