Wasn't Coker woeful for you's aswell?

I've actually seen a Halford to us rumour. He can piss off though we don't actually want to become you.

Between our three clubs, we could probably name quite a few players who have played for at least two or even over the last ten years :animatedf:

Luke Guttridge & David Mooney are just two I could think of though :69:

In fairly recent times with Orient I can think of: Jabo Ibehre, Joe Keith, Kevin Lisbie, Jamie Cureton, Ryan Dickson, David Mooney, Luke Guttridge, Matt Lockwood, George Porter, Martin Rowlands, Nathan Clarke, Lloyd James, Sean Clohessy

For Southend: John White, Cian Bolger, Ben Coker, Anthony Wordsworth, David Mooney, Pat Baldwin, Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Sean Clohessy, Luke Guttridge, John-Joe O'Toole, Chris Barker, Jabo Ibehre, Scott Vernon, Sanchez Watt

So that's Ibehre, Mooney, Guttridge and Clohessy to have been with all three of us in recent years.

Very talented player but also very frustrating at the same time.

He is very skillfull but he could pass more often than he does. I think he's a great signing for you though.

Thanks for that, I suspect JFH and David Oldfield will get the best out of him. Our squad is taking shape nicely.

Campbell-Ryce has played for us in two spells as well, so add him to the 3 list!!

Nearly as incestuous as Dale/Bury.

David Flitcroft, William Moquet, Kelvin Etuhu, Tom Kennedy, Nicky Adams, Jim McNulty, Andrew Tutte, Ashley Grimes, Ashley Eastham, Dale Stephens, Chris O'Grady, Clive Platt, Andy Haworth, Stephen Dawson... etc.

I think Stephens and O'Grady are the only two to have played for Oldham as well, but stand to be corrected on this!

Lol

Lee Clarke and Paul Dickov signed him, that should be enough evidence to show how shit he is.

Not surprised all all, we are beyond pathetic.
Sorry, can you explain this?

Why would it be pathetic if Cornell rejected us and went to Oldham? Maybe they offered a much better wage, maybe they could make more guarantees of first team football, maybe they offered him a longer deal.

Unless we know what both clubs offered and can compare both deals, then him possibly choosing them over us isn't pathetic, how can it be? It's obviously disappointing to miss out on a target, but tbh, the guy could possibly not play a single minute of football next season should Ben remain with us and not get injured or suspended.

What is annoying is Davis' insistence on getting someone "to challenge Garratt". Wish he would just drop this notion. Ben has proven over the last 2 seasons that he doesn't need a number 2 putting the pressure on him, he can maintain his form just fine. I appreciate that Steve is trying to plan for an occasion when Ben does miss games or leaves, but he should cross that bridge when he comes to it. Its the same mistake he made 2 years ago when he tried to sign cover for every position and we ended up with Molyneux and Audel.

Teams like Walsall have it right. They have a solid first XI every season but have very little depth, mostly because they don't have the budget. We should do the same rather than trying to sign 2 first choice goalkeepers. He shouldn't be trying to sign replacements for players that aren't even out the door yet. Get a cheap Bartek Fogler esq number 2 in and if Ben can't play for whatever reason, loan in a replacement or play said number 2, then just play it by ear. Or even better, loan in a Ross Etheridge type keeper where the parent club aren't fussy if he plays or not. Why we are trying to find a keeper that is cheap, is happy to be mostly backup but good enough to play at this level I don't know. Those keepers are in short supply and most of them that are around probably won't sign for us.

Don't know much about him, but I would worry that he has not enough ability at L1 level to make an impact for us. Maybe I am downplaying him. He does have representative football behind him with England, but I am not sure whether he can be coached well enough to warrant a first team start. Pace, power and strength all in one looks fine, but when I saw him at Peterborough versus us last season, he was never really in the game. Peterborough was understrength that day, but we played well and Laing would not have started for us then. What is different today that would mean a start for him now? I suppose that one way of looking at it is in Robins' eye for the future. We have some young lads on the books, all who will be training with the first team squad. Maybe Robins is thinking he will be able to fit Laing in there and see if his natural ability can be augmented by hard work and commitment.

We have confirmed the signing of Luke Williams from Middlesbrough on a three year deal.

Very happy with that signing as he was very good for us on loan last year. So we're like two days into pre season and we've made eight signings, sweet.

Glad to see this lad come in. His link up play behind the striker was a joy to watch when he was on loan with us. Plus, he has quick feet and could well be very dangerous in the box, eg his goal for us at Peterborough last season. Saw him play for Peterborough and Coventry and on both occasions he was subdued and withdrawn. Probably this was because he was played deeper than his stay with us.

Temperamental and too big for his shoes. Fancies himself a bit too much and can be disruptive. Can be very good on the ball out wide and has a decent cross. When he wants to pass, he can do to great effect, but doesn't do it often enough. Surprised he played in the Championship and not surprised he is out on loan. Bottom two leagues are where he belongs.

Tony Craig's returned for a third spell. Two year deal. Happy with that, have lacked leaders recently.

Good luck to him, been great for us three years. He is fantastic in League 1 and still good in the Championship. Happy for him that he got a good move.

Listened to an interview with him after todays friendly, he will get on very well with fellow scouser Phil Edwards. Hope Jimmy and David Oldfield get the best out of him.

NML is shit. Absolute waste of oxygen.

He's so obsessed with the gym and Nando's that he can only play for 20 minutes before being completely fucked.

He wants the footballer lifestyle but doesn't wanna do the bit where he actually plays football. More interested in renting out VIP sections of clubs and telling any woman in there that he is a professional footballer.

He has pace to burn but his crossing is probably about as useful as Kate & Gerry McCann are at babysitting. Plus he thinks he can do a billion stepovers but loses the ball after three.

I'd be surprised if anyone in the football league gave him another chance.

Probably happens at most clubs in close proximity to each other us with Vale have.

Anthony Grant, Byron Moore, Tom Pope, Michael O'Connor, Luke Rodgers, Gary Roberts, Richard Walker, Richie Sutton, Adam Yates, Marc Richards, Stuart Tomlinson, Dave Brammer, George Abbey, Tony Naylor. And probably a fair few more.

He is dreadful mind, we played away at Shrewsbury in 13/14 and he was their striker... He looked like he'd eaten half the burger van!

That 0-0 draw was quite possibly the dullest 90 minutes of my life. What a truly forgettable game.

Unsurprisingly he was good mates with Tyrone Barnett when they were both here.

Shit sticks together I guess.

Maybe I'm slightly harsh, NML does have talent but he's one of those that are gonna waste it. We've seen glimpses but as said, he's too focussed on lifestyle. A footballer just can't be his shape. Way too top heavy in the gym.

Barnett on the other hand is just pure shit.

Similar problem to what we had with ex keeper Stuart Tomlinson! Made himself into a beast (he was a male escort called Rupert Paddington Gomez in the evenings!) problem was every time we went to stop the ball he couldn't hold it as it just bounced off him! He's now in the WWE with the NXT as Hugo Knox...

Anthony O'Connor who we had on loan from Blackburn in 2012/13 season and played all 46 league games is re-signing for the club permanently after featuring for Plymouth Argyle last season. Brewers fans are delighted with the news.
Regarding the above post on Stuart Tomlinson, we had him for a season after he left Vale, its all true I'm afraid, he was reportedly involved with some blonde lass at the club too who managed to drag the club to court over other misdemeanors with players etc.
