Seeing as no one else has posted it, Adam King on loan from Swansea until January.

Dunno what to make of that really, talented apparently, played about 2 games in Scotland.

Apparently we're bringing in Jason Brown, keeper during our championship years, as goalkeeping coach from Sutton United.

Only 33 and we're looking for a keeper, so wouldn't be surprised if he registers as a player as well.

Had Williams last year, he's very good, good character too, one of those that showed up the older players with his temperament and consistency. Played at RB, CB and CM for us. Was pretty shite at CB, was ok at RB but his best position is clearly as a holding midfielder. Good signing if you've got him on a long term loan.
Good stuff.

We've also got former Notts player DrissaTraore on trial so I'm curious to know your thoughts on him too. He's trialing with Bradley Barry (Gareth's nephew), Jake Nicholson (ex-Spurs) and Jamie Sendles-White (ex-QPR).

Joe Edwards comes in on a free from Yeovil - seems fairly rated but can't say I have any idea. Central midfield.

WOOOAHHHH DRISSA TRAORE

errr, we had him on trial, and the story goes that he played so well in the first half that Barry Fry and Darragh MacAnthony came down to watch him in the second half, so Alan Smith hooked him off and then we signed him straight after. He played a few games but Derry generally only played him against 'nice' teams, so he played against MK Dons and Swindon and a few other games - was one of those that looked quite tidy but never really did anything of note despite looking promising. You also question if he's got the physical ability too, he's really ickle with not a lot of pace either - which isn't a great mix for a lower-league box to box midfielder. He then fell out with Derry and a few times mistakenly hooked his twitter up to facebook or whatever and it'd come up that it was Friday night and he was in Revolutions Sheffield

so yeah, one of those all style no substance type players BUT if he was going to do well anywhere then it'd most likely be in a team like yours. Assuming you're keeping your style from last season.

Smith's said in the local E and S that he has had a deal done with a forward from a different club for a while now but it hasn't gone through due to unforseen circumstances at the club. Local journo thinks it's a permanent deal. Candidates in theory.

Harry Panayoutiou from Leicester? Sudden sacking of the manager, young lad, local, had dealings with Leicester last season. Fits the bill.

Jordi Hiwula? Was here last season, played exceptionally well. Said he thoroughly enjoyed his time here. City need to keep a certain quote of English players in the squad, perhaps they want to keep him to evaluate things?

Milan Lalkovic? Smith said in the paper on Saturday he'd take him back in a shot. He's transfer listed. Perhaps they want a fee for him suddenly?

Callum Robinson? Don't think he'd come to us when he was at PNE last season.

Miles Storey? We've been linked with him all summer. Doesn't get a look in at Swindon. Perhaps they wanted to evalute who was sold before deciding whether to let him go? Who knows.

Smith says he is no longer interested in Febian Brandy and that he is 'passed' that, so we won't be signing him this summer.

Talented but very very injury prone. Also doesn't particularly seem to give a shit anymore.

Good luck lads. Seemed to be completely gone from what I saw. Strength has left him, can't pass the ball and always seemed capable of a mistake at any time.

His play off goal was wonderful though. What a header.

Sounds like a talented ball playing midfielder. Seems we are having a big change philosophy next season and trying to go back to the Crewe teams of old, which can't be a bad thing, at least it was usually entertaining the same can't be said by the last few years.

I'd still like us to sign a more experienced midfield player ie/ Fox. Jones, Bingham and King looks a bit lightweight.

We've got no choice but to sign another player. Got to sign either a Fox experienced or Grant battling type of player because that midfield 3 just isn't functional. Bingham could hold his own I have no doubt, but Jones is still inexperienced and King is a total rookie. Can't throw those 3 to the lions by themselves next season.

Rebuilt our backroom team a bit today, wasn't sure where to put it but this will do I guess!

David Kerslake - Assistant Manager
Wayne Hatswell - Under 18s Manager
Jason Brown - Goalkeeping coach + signed on as a player I would imagine.

Bingham's an annoyingly good signing for a club like Crewe. Sort of player who should fit in well to their mould, a ball player who brings a level of calmness to a side (we were certainly better for him playing last season anyway). Spreads the play well but is also capable of getting stuck in when needs be.

Keep him fit and he'll do well.

I think they are season long loans, I would say a two year extension for Anton Rodgers has sealed these signings from his old man. The lad Ryan Kent looks very decent fo L1 my big worry is this team is looking younger than last years with not one player on the books born before 1990!!!

I was quite chuffed till the "keep him fit" bit. Normally lower league code for "you've signed a complete crock".

Remi Matthews, keeper from Norwich City signed on loan until January for a second time as back up to Jon McLaughlin giving our other keeper Darren Lyness time to fully recover from his broken leg.

Smurf being a bit cryptic on OVF about Craig Davies.

Would be a decent signing if we could keep him fit.

Anthony O'Conor is on the Brewers pre-season training camp in Holland so I would guess extremely likely to be re-joining us.

Bradford fans think they have a chance of signing Reda if he doesn't stay with us.

Bradford City are now the most deluded fans I've ever come across even worse than Leicester who think they are a Champions League club.

If RJ ends up at Bradford or even another League 1 team excluding us I will donate £50 to the forum.

As much as Reda is a great man and a good player he plays about 12 games a season. Waste of a wage really.

Yeah I know it a shame I would like him to stay but he isn't worth the apparent 6k he's on currently. I can see him going to another Championship club maybe Rotherham as they are taking all Shef Weds ex players and taking a gamble on him and hoping for more games than he achieved with us

Would be quality to have him back with a Pacey striker alongside.
