Apparently joe Murphy, goalie from Huddersfield is training with us.

Good goalkeeper but not as good as some Coventry fans make out. Was good with us but he got let off the hook a little bit because of our poor defence when he was the one making mistakes. Did poor at Hudders and did terribly for Chesterfield in the play off second leg

Not the one I know of.

You're getting a loan signing in over the next few days anyway.

When Sheehan went to you on loan, we were interested in one of your players then. Any idea who that might have been?

Is there even a Peterborough player who would be classed as exciting

Bloody hell were making some good signings, Richard Chaplow being the latest.

That's why I'm absolutely mythed the board are still persisting with Diddles

He's complete toss. You seem to be splurging on seasoned pros looking for a final payday.

I was quite chuffed till the "keep him fit" bit. Normally lower league code for "you've signed a complete crock".

The fact he's made less than 100 starts with us despite being our longest serving player since around about 2009 tells its own story. When he gets injured, he doesn't pick up a niggle that lasts for 1 or 2 games, he's usually out for months on weeks on end which has unfortunately seriously disrupted his playing time. This season aside, whenever he's previously had a chance and played a few games he's picked up some sort of injury (quite often in training).

I hope for yours and his sake that he does stay fit, because I'd quite like to see him do well in League One, and given the chance, I think he can be a great player for a side like Crewe.

If it hadn't been for Murphy we'd have conceded a record amount of goals that season. Christie - as Derby fans will testify to - was poor defensively and with Andy Webster and Jordan Clarke as the two starting centre halves, this was the main reason we conceded so many. You can't say he was 'poor' at Huddersfield as he was brought in as number two to Smithies and only played twice. A consistent keeper and at this level, probably one of the best in the league. It also didn't help that Still refused to play him at times for some reason. I presume it's because he didn't fit the direct approach but he was on the bench a hell of a lot even though he was a better player than we had on the pitch.

I've always said that he'd shine in a better League. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Championship one day. Good luck to him.

You wouldn't know he didn't even play for you last season. He was playing for a club battling for automatic promotion. Andy Williams and Gary Makenzie are still in their twenties so you are very very wrong.

We have a young squad with the likes of Liam Wakefield and Mitchell Lund coming through the ranks so we needed some players

An excellent appraisal coming from you.

Enjoy his three good games a season.

Hope you haven't offered him more than a year, he will be in your reserves within 6 months.

The encouraging news is that Dull Davis has been told to play on the deck by the board this season.

However we all know the saying 'old habits die hard', hopefully he'll prosper though!

Coventry fans what's Grant Ward like?

See he was on loan to you last year from Tottenham, he's training with us at the moment.

Very good ball playing central midfielder, can also play out wide but is less effective. Has a decent range of passing and a good engine, will only flourish playing regularly in a better side - unfortunately for Grant he had to carry the rest of our midfield towards the end of last season. All in all a solid signing, if he signs.

It is a well known fact when I post people take attention and activity increases. If I left this forum there would be disastrous consequences.

Cheers

John Lundstram to decide on a move later. If not we'll sign David Fox. Happy with either but the Lundstram signing could pose the dire need for an experienced head in the side (Alan Tate hopefully).
