He was rumoured to be leaving till Clough left, Adkins has repeated that every player now has a clean slate though and he does appear to be adhering to that. Rumour that we're interested in a creative midfielder so that could pave the way for his exit but that probably depends on Baxters ban. I hope we do keep Cuvelier, from the little I've seen of him hes a good asset, when fit.

We have had quite a few dodgey ones over the past few years, not all of them have worked out, you just don't hear much about them if they are not up to it... Having the said that, the ones that have done well have done very well.. That is the thing with this model, as fans you have to be prepared that half of the signings will not work and hope that the ones that do work give you enough to challenge, if not in year 1 then return for year 2. If it is done right then we should have a decent season every other year..

Sentinel and BBC Radio Stoke strongly implying that our first signing will occur today and our second signing may also be revealed today.

One permanent signing that's not a backup keeper and one loan signing most likely to be either of the LBs from Swansea we've been looking at.

Of course with this being Crewe, wouldn't surprise me if they reveal a female Gresty the Lion and we've taken a loan from Quick Quid or something to really deflate the fans optimism.

Very promising u21winger / attacking midfielder and has played in the Youth Champions League beating the likes of Real Madrid.

Crewe fans must have been crushed when they saw a snippet saying they were signing Bingham, only to find out it wasn't Rakish.

Billy Bingham, underwhelming but it's a start.

He could be a good signing if he doesn't spend all season in the treatment room like Atkinson has done.

Hoping Fox will be the other CM we sign seeing as Lundstram looks like he's joining Bolton soon.

If he's the young midfield signing we're looking to develop, then happy to give him a chance.

If however, he's the experienced League One midfield signing we're after, then we're a laughing stock.

On the plus side, he does seem like a tidy technical player that we need in midfield. Going off brief youtube highlights(which are obviously a spot on judgement of a players ability), he has a sweet left peg(pinged in a couple of quality finishes last season) and looks like a tidy player.

But on the negative side, you are left wondering why at 25 he hasn't made the move higher up the leagues already. How much improvement does he have in him, question marks over how he'll cope at this level etc. Happy enough with this signing, but he'll have to hit the ground running given our first few fixtures. Looking forward to watching him play for sure.

Oh and if we can get Fox signed up too, I think he'd be a great guide and mentor for Jones and Bingham.

Had Williams last year, he's very good, good character too, one of those that showed up the older players with his temperament and consistency. Played at RB, CB and CM for us. Was pretty shite at CB, was ok at RB but his best position is clearly as a holding midfielder. Good signing if you've got him on a long term loan.

Seems to have put his injury nightmare behind him that stalled his career in its earlier stages. Speaking to a Daggers supporter we could be onto a decent lad, so fair play to the management team in signing Billy.

Look forward to seeing him and the other new signings we look set to tie up as well.
