Evatt has said there has been some movement on his main January target [Niall Ennis]
Not expecting any out goings. Would like a curve ball RWB/LWB as cover or to push for a starting place.
Lot of games between now and May. Got Jones and Gomes to return from the African/Asia cup next month and Nlundulu to come back maybe late March/April
Been lucky injury wise this season.......With Only George Johnston being long term

Apparently we have a midfielder with Premier League, Championship and League 1 experience training with us.

Kofi Balmer now confirmed as gone back to Palace. Shame but a couple of untimely injuries derailed his spell on loan. There’s a decent defender in there but makes too many individual errors at the moment. Maybe a spell in L2 would do him some good next.

Balmer returns to be replaced by Rhys Williams, tatoo's give that one away on the soon to be announced clip!

Happy with that, seems a decent upgrade on paper. Liked Balmer but I think the Carlisle cameo summed up the problems with him and that was the end of him with us.

Not sure why everyone thinks we have a lot of strikers.

We have Aneke who is never fit, Leaburn who’s likely out for the season, 19 year old Daniel Kanu who we had to recall from Southend as we’re so depleted in that department and Alfie May, who himself has just returned from injury.

We’re absolutely desperate for one hence, trying for everyone. We’ll only sign one.
Hardly any fit strikers but the one you do have is stuck out on the wing?

Appleton ball. Looks like we might be switching away from 3 up top to 2 now hence why we're looking for a partner for Alfie. Aneke and Leaburn are ideal for the role but Aneke will never be able to consistently play for us and Leaburn is out for the season and likely off in the summer.

We've sent another couple of young lads to Drogheda in the LOI until the summer on loan. Those two departures won't alter too much in terms of squad size because there were at Peterborough Sports and have headed straight back out again.

Quiet at LN5, as we've become accustomed to, very rare anything gets out nowadays.

We've signed Kyle Edwards permanently until the end of the season. He was staying with for rehab anyway and I can only assume it will be on a low wage as Ipswich paid off his contract. He is projected to be back for the last month of the season so may or may not be a good move. If he fully regains fitness then I guess it puts us in pole position for next season.

We've signed centre back Brandon Cooper pernamently from Swansea on a two and a half year deal.

Happy with that myself, good defender for this level. Form dipped a bit a month ago, but so did the rest of the teams too.

Got sent off twice though for violent conduct, so will need to learn to get that out of his game.

Well, this is what I posted about Wolves’ Chem Campbell when he went on loan to Charlton earlier this season…

…and now he’s coming back to us apparently.

Bit indifferent to be honest, he’s definitely talented, but thinks he’s better than he is.

And from what I understand, Charlton have done nothing to beat that out of him. So…he won’t be any great shining hope.

Confirmed. I’d say that’s somewhere between a 6 and a 7/10 signing.

Alfie Devine recalled by Spurs (I assume off to Argyle).

Huge huge blow with our injury crisis in midfield and after losing Arblaster, best hope Funso is back at the weekend or we are going to be really short in the middle.

Oxford were leading the race for Goodwin yesterday, today it sounds like we’ve now increased our bid.

Good for Cheltenham that a bidding war seems to have commenced, though guess it means it’s more likely that he will leave this window.

Looks like it is Plymouth he’s going to, reported in The Athletic and makes sense with Ian Foster their manager now. Shame to lose him as he’s really started to shine in that deeper role since Arblaster went back. Given that Carol said last week PL clubs are contacting us to offer players on loan now we’ll see what they come up with as a replacement whether it’s Dan Gore from Man Utd or someone else of that ilk. It is the problem with using loans like this but a necessary evil for clubs like ourselves.

I've accepted he's gone.

Hurry up and bid £500k so we can all move on and he can get replaced.

As someone said a season long loan is almost never the case as if they are good they get recalled and if they are bad you send them back!

Lets see what awaits though as we've picked up some very highly rated loans this year with our new loan strategy.

CB Richard Keogh (also ex-Derby, Carlisle) leaves us by mutual consent, having only signed in the summer - on the basis that he'd be getting limited pitch time with us.

He was OK, and somewhat made up for his chronic lack of pace with good reading of the game, but I'm not that arsed to see him move on.

Will probably find a L2 or conf club - think he's Ipswich-based so maybe Col U can take him or something.

Oxford it is.

Sounds like location trumps our better offer to the player.

Bid is apparently £400k plus add-ons. Not bad for a player who cost us £20k last January and has been decent for 6 months.

He also does get an awful lot of niggles.

He's been great for us this season, but I'm not nearly as disappointed as I thought I'd be.

Just hope we have a decent replacement lined up - and I trust that DC will.

Will be interesting as he had a DOF at Vale so that was mainly Flitcrofts job. Could of maybe tried for Ellis Harrison but he played opening day for us so cant move again.

He has a head of recruitment at Cheltenham in Russell Milton.

That's not the boast you might think it is though.

Seriously though, he's made it clear he wants 3-4 experienced players to come in, that's a lot easier to do when we have £340k or so to play with than without. We've also lost a player who has been good for 4-5 months, scored 6 goals (of which only one has gained us a point - the others came in defeats or in a game we were already ahead in) and 1 assist.

He's been an absolute beast for us since DC came in, but Goodwin going is not Alfie May going.
