According to Paul Smith ex sun journalist we are taking over Tom Mcintyres contract from Reading, been injured most of the season it seems and Callum Lang is close. Just haggling fee apparently

Seems that Jaden Brown is heading to St Mirren on loan.

Hardly been in any squads here since Kennedy left, and even a little before then as well so I'm not sure whether we can really say if he's a good player or not. Something obviously not quite right though for a new signing to be moved six months after signing.
Confirmed.

From the Club statement, doesn't sound like he's one who'll be in our thinking next season.

Signed Charlie Cummins, 18 year old midfielder from Cobh Rangers. Sounds like he will be in the youth squad at the moment though.
Think the Joel Nouble transfer is off. Still need a striker....

Gas fans, what’s the likelyhood of Marquis leaving this month? Any chance or is he playing regular?

Out of any of our strikers, and we don't have many, I'd say he is most likely to leave out of anyone. Would mean we would have to get 2 more in though ideally and I can't see that.

Nathaneal Ogbeta coming in from Swansea.

Was at Posh last season, apparently played well for them.
As Floreat Salopia says, would have had Ogbeta back at Shrewsbury.

Raw when we signed him for City back in 2021, created lots from LWB. Wasn't the best defensively, but his attacking play outweighed that. Possibly part of the reason Cotterill let him go at the time.

Got a decent fee from Swansea in January 2022, considering he's barely featured for them since signing. Would be a good signing for most teams in this league if he rediscovered his early form for us. Shame half of his time here was spent behind closed doors.

As others have said, the striker market is stupid most of the time and isn't helped by teams paying daft money for bang average. Even league 2 teams are throwing silly money at it. Some can sustain it but others it will end in a mess. The hope is that our youth academy is starting to produce the goods and that combined with picking out some gems from different markets, we'll have a number of saleable assets. Then we can join the silly fees.

That’s the aim despite some fans ridiculous moans about not spending loads now. The youth system is flourishing finally with big money sales to Prem sides, we’ve got some breaking through with big potential the last few months, Plant, Dipepa, Shorrock, Walters and Lomax getting minutes and contributing so just need patience. The structure is coming along nicely but will take time to do.

Strong reports that we've agreed a fee with Wigan for Callum Lang. Probably not announcing it until after today's game. Sounds like Reading CB Tom McIntyre to follow. Much needed signings.

Aaron Collins wasn’t in the Bristol Rovers squad today.

Apparently we’ve put a bid in for him.

A year a go we would really have missed him and probably got 1.5m. The way he is playing at present we will be lucky to get 500k. But on current form won't be missed. But I will still wish him well. Hopefully out of the two clubs bidding he goes to Bolton.

Jon Bodvarsson was due to travel to us Friday morning to sign but Bolton pulled the plug on that one due to injuries in their squad. Hopefully that one can get done if they sign a striker.

Wellens has said he wants one more attacking player in if we can manage it.

He also said we've had offers for a few of our players which have been accepted, but clubs mucking around with contract offers to our players which means things not really getting done. I think more of our fringe/squad players in the last 6 months of their current contracts are the players receiving these bids.

Despite all that, Wellens said he'd be happy to keep the current group until the end of the season and I agree with him.

doubt we would pay over 500k...May be some truth in it if we are getting offers for Adeboy

Harris has links with him previously and got told he was on his way by more than one person the last few days.

I don't question us looking at Collins but not sure we'd splash the money out they'd want right now just incase we did get promoted & could attract better in the summer. Would not be surprised if our name has been branded out to get Wrexham to cough up a bit more, we have two loans left available so think whoever the attacker is who comes in will just be somebody untill the end of the season. Ennis has agreed a loan deal in principle, we've been waiting on the green light but it's been held up for over a week presumably to do with Blackburn needing strikers in before they let them go out. Regarding Bod, relatively surprised to hear that we're trying to get rid I mean it would make sense if we plan on bringing two attackers which we think will be strong upgrades but hes a useful squad player & loved by the fans it's just ashame he's a sick note who always has any momentum ripped away from him as he's a very classy forward on his day.

Supposedly earmarked Sam Tickle at Wigan as Freddie Woodman's potential replacement, should he leave in the summer. Never heard of him tbh.

A new week and another striker linked. This time the rumour is we’ve got a bid on the table for Christian Doidge at Hibs.

Wouldn’t shock me as Caldwell has worked with him previously and he’s not getting regular starts in the SPL. Someone experienced like him would be very handy and we could then hopefully add another younger forward too. Here’s hoping.

Sounds like Bolton have agreed a fee with Bristol Rovers for Aaron Collins. If that’s completed that will probably be the green light for Bodvarsson to complete his move to us.

If we have any sense at all we would be going in for him now Uche is out long term but hey we aren't thinking of relegation so a couple more kids on loan will do.

would not be surprised if there are a few teams in for Bodvarrson. Over his injuries now and is a perfect foil for any Decent striker. Is as good as any in this league for holding the ball up and bringing others into play.
Not a prolific goalscorer by any means but anyone who has played 60 odd games for his country will be decent

Turned 600k down over the week-end. Word up here is he may walk away
Very stubborn is Evatt and rightly he will have others in mind
