Signed billy bodin on a 1 year deal.
Released from Oxford.
Can’t comment on him, never noticed him play even against us.
He was a magician for us under Darrell Clarke. 32 but still looked very decent for Oxford against us recently

Even though he's 32 and doesn't fit our recruitment policy under MT....him on one wing and Scott Sinclair on the other might have been fun

We had Danny Hylton and Teddy Bishop as trialists in our friendly yesterday. Sounds like the former could be more as some kind of player coach

Seems Crawley have made a bid for Toby Mullarkey of Grimsby. Centre back/midfielder who came through Crewe's ranks before being released.

Can't say I recall him.

Sounds very much like this is happening. Bit of an odd one that. Started the season well but then was a massive part of our defence getting absolutely dicked on several occasions. Jodi Jones ripped him to shreds and got four assists in the 5-5 against Notts but then we changed shape and switched him from RB in a four to right CB in a wing back system and he was much more comfortable. Question marks over whether he can play as a CB in a four. Not sure if he's good enough for L1 personally. Mind you, the last player you got from us did alright!

Hylton has been coaching some of the kids here. I love him but he has been finished as a player since before he signed for Northampton in hindsight.

Hylton, Berry & NJ always had a tight relationship- no surprise he’s brought them together I imagine he’s looking to build a built of the culture we had and they were certainly massive parts of that - as the yanks would say, he’s been brought in as a “locker room presence” I expect

Looks like we may be trying to get Tom Hamer from Burton, well we definitely will if the deal is suitable Clough is a fan, good age and we need a defender.

Pretty universally disliked by our fanbase has he never played and always seemed to be watching Luton games or training the kids. His legs have absolutely gone and 98% of his game is just winding up everyone. Hilarious to watch at times but his days as a footballer have passed imo.

5 or so in the pipeline, including an ex-Championship Striker, a centre-back who would become one of a higher earners and a long shot who's previous deal just broke down. Feels like we're about to start making our actually headline transfers soon. No names however because we're tigher than a drum-skin in terms of leaks and literally get nothing until the day a signing is made.

Sounds a bit like us, we used to have more rumours than you could shake a stick at, but it’s a very tight ship generally here now where player names aren’t banded about that often.

Wonder if the ex championship striker could be Admiral Muskwe?! Have a feeling you were in for him last summer but we got him instead.

If so, good luck :shut:

Isnt he the guy that barely featured because he was crocked all season?! Its hilarious how some of our fans were outraged we couldnt secure a deal for him, only for him never to play anyway!

A name being mooted is Tom Eaves but thats just pure spectulation atm.

Yeah, he arrived unfit. Got injured, came back, looked shit and disinterested and then tore his hamstring or something. Just one of those that was a disaster from start to finish!

Eaves would be good though, if played to his strengths.

In an interview today Cloughie said we just edged out Peterborough financially (some going) for Brunt, then Wrexham came bounding in offering him enough money to fund the public services of a small Eastern European nation and that was that.

I may have made up the last bit but that’s what happened, ‘blown out the water’ was the quote in terms of transfer fee and wages.

Fantastic signings for next year’s 2016/17 season.
31 and 32 years old. Would be excellent additions in this league but your post was quite funny. Funny as in Nelson from The Simpsons.

I'm beginning (!) To get quite worried. The only rumour doing the rounds is the guy from Grimsby and we have 3 players who can play there already. We pretty much need players I every other position and a little bit of time to knit them into a team.

Wagmi say we have funds to spend on players but no clue as to what standard of players we are looking at.

Gav Holohan also signs for Crawley, though we released him as he was pretty poor this season and felt he was on his way down. Crawley are either very smart or very stupid…

Stockport County.
Two proper low end L2 players. I've defended Crawley's owners but if Lindsey gets a tune out of Crawley this season he's one of the best managers in world football.

That's even more weird than the Mullarkey signing. Gav was terrific in our NL promotion season and gave us some of the best moments of the last 20 years then and the following season but he looked done at L2 level last season and I thought he was nailed on to turn up at one of York, Halifax or Hartlepool. Fair play to him getting a L1 club but I can't get my head around that at all!

Mullarkey isn't a low end L2 player if he's played in the correct position. He's more than comfortable as the right sided CB in a three at that level.
