We’ve backed off Randell’s from Peterborough now.

It seems we’re putting a bid in for Karamoko Dembele from Brest.

Not sure if this is one of the 7-figure bids that Evatt mentioned last week.

Also going after John McAtee from Luton.

Would be two excellent signings.

Aimson has joined or is imminently joining a L1 side. Who needs a CB?

Sebastian Revan signed from Villa.

Callum Burton signed on a free, last at Plymouth.

Have never heard of either but the review I read 30 seconds ago suggests Revan has potential and did ok in a struggling Rotherham team last season.

Been told by a Plymouth fan that Burton should be a first choice down here. Nice to provide some competition for Okonkwo.

Burton is ok but I’d say he’s more a number two.

Okonkwo is going to be first choice. But our other keepers are a 34 year old who seems to be kept around for vibes, an 18 year old youth keeper and a lad we bought from Sligo a few years ago who seems to have failed to convince Parkinson he's good enough so I guess Burton gives us more dependable cover.

Oh well, Aimson to Wigan then. Lost his head when the shit hit the fan last season and hasn’t been happy ever since.

Apparently we’ve gotten a “significant return on our investment” so hopefully a decent fee then. Guess £50-100k

Did he not go to you because his family was in the South West????

I like the look of these signings a lot. Millerbri whats Revan like?

McNicholas on his way out though you'd think?

He was actually one of the few shining lights from last season, he had a poor start but grew into it as the season progressed.

He played left back/wing back mainly but stood in at LCB as well, he made a few daft mistakes trying to pass out from the back but I guess that's the Villa way.

I was hoping he might come back this season but we are much better off for players this season so we probably don't need him.

If he maintains his progress he will do a good job for you especially in this division.

Sounds promising, thanks mate!

with Burton coming in McNicholas has gone on loan to Rochdale, as suspected. Good move for him.

Apparently, yes. I guess if he wanted to move on, his L1 options in the south west were limited, so took a deal to move back up north.

Mad that Seb Revan is where he is now, less than 3 years ago he wasn’t Conference standard.

Yeah something seems to have clicked with him since he struggled at Grimsby and ended up at Hereford. The difference of being 18 and 21 maybe.

No love lost between Caldwell and Wigan now.

“Wigan have pursued him throughout the window against my wishes, which has unsettled the player again and forced my hand."

Yeah I had to do a quick Google to check it was the lad we had on loan. English Red probably hitting the nail on the head there, he was incredibly young and inexperienced when we had him and didn't see a great deal of him tbf.

If McAtee is available then we will be in for him too, Parky loves him and been looking to sign him since January 2022. Suspect you can blow us out of the water though.

McAtee to Bolton or Wrexham makes sense, surprised he's not played for a club in the North West yet (since his Shrewsbury days if you can class them as North West). Have said numerous times now he'd be a great fit at Stockport but Dave Challinor keeps ignoring all my emails. Ridiculously likeable player to have in your side though. He just gets it.

Will take a boatload of cash and the player wanting to move to make JR even consider it.
@Gillingham.

Joe Whitworth on loan from Palace for the season now confirmed.

Let’s hope he has half the season at least as Sinisalo did last season

Been on the cards for ages, this. Hopefully he’s another Sinisalo or Dawson and he has come with excellent reviews. Good to have the GK spot sorted fairly early for once.

Also looks like young CB Johnly Yfeko from Rangers is with the squad this week, so expect he’ll come in on loan very soon.

Looks like he’s a big lad and plays as a LCB so will be Zak Jules’ replacement. Can’t wait to see how many times people misspell his name!

Stockport County.
Would love McAtee, good player. Fair play to Bolton if they get that one over the line.

We're linked to sign Michael Mellon on loan from Burnley. I think we needed a hairy arsed, experienced centre forward to complinment our young technical forward line but looks like we're wanting to throw another young player in the mix. He did look sharp against us last season for Morecambe but jury is out for me if he's what we need up front.
