We've signed midfielder Fergus Bell on a free.
Wasn't surprised when I read on Twitter he has gone but surprised at the fact he has gone to a league one side. He's an attacking midfielder who can only really play in the number 10 role behind the striker from what I've seen, he's not physical or fit enough to be a central midfielder.

His plus points are he's good technically with the ball at his feet and will work hard for you, but his pace lets him down and you often find yourself forgetting he is on the pitch. He didn't really fit into our side as Murray doesn't seem too keen on formations with a number 10 in them so he's barely featured. Be interesting to see how he gets on though, with a run of games and confidence he might be a different player.

We've apparently turned down an offer from a Turkish club and an approach from Sevilla for Massimo Luongo.

We've turned down an offer for Marvin Johnson from a club suspected to be Yeovil

Probably been offered peanuts initially as always. Hope we scrape every last penny we can out of any club that wants Mass.

How did you manage to concede 5 to Cheltenham?! They're one of the dullest, most toothless teams going.
Not sure even the greatest minds in humanity could work out just how that result happened. It was if Cheltenham's first 11 injected Kryptonite before the game and we had taken copious amounts of class A drugs. Bizarre day.

More on the Luongo bid: Reportedly in the region of £1.9 million from an unnamed Turkish club. Sevilla approach didn't include option to loan him back.

It's going to be a long three days...

This Van Veen situation is getting odd now.

We've agreed a fee with FC Oss, he was supposedly flying over for contract talks but there's reports Millwall, Rotherham and Donny are in for him too. Everything's gone quiet on our end which is worrying.

We supposedly have offered a lot more for him than other clubs, 300k Euros is the touted figure.

We're set to sign Gareth Bale on loan, oh, Kenny McEvoy sorry, from Tottenham. Meanwhile Kaspars Gorkss appears to have signed for a Greek club this evening so he obviously isn't going to be staying any longer.

It's a shame Gorkss has gone, as he has added some much-needed experience to the spine of the side in defence. Seems to have been improving game by game and notched his first goal at the weekend too, giving us an alternative at corners instead of the pointless short ones that we persist with.

McEvoy was crap for us but he didn't really get much of a chance to be fair to him.

I'm presuming (or rather hoping) that McLean's return means Barnett will join Oxford.

Oss will take a lot less than 300 Don as they are skint. I work for a Dutch company & spend a lot of time out there & catch a few games & Van Veen looks the real deal, sounds like your in pole position & I'm certain he will do well for you (until your relegated & we get him in the summer !)

They've just let you pay for his flights and now they're going to snap him up.

According to Humberside sport, he's currently undergoing a medical with us.

Millwall and Rotherham also agreed a fee with FC Oss last night but he has chose to sign for us.

Our chairman has said we're right at the end of the deal for Kevin Van Veen, got a feeling he will fail his medical or something like that.
I think van Veen is going to go on to great things. I reckon you've got him for a steal, but you'll only have him a year, but then you'll get a shedload of cash for him.

I'm just waiting for him to fail his medical after all of this.

I'm sure I heard that we were interested in him, too.
Ive heard good things about him but what's the Swindon view? If you're not gutted to lose him, then you can keep him. If you are gutted and crying into your "best burgers in the world" (available at a burger van by your ground) then we'll pay more for him.

@Gids1980: #Chesterfieldfc tell me there are currently no firm bids on the table for Eoin Doyle. (1/2)

@Gids1980: Hearing there are at least 2 championship clubs who retain an interest in Doyle. Derby County being one. (2/2)

I think all Town fans would admit that Mass is destined for bigger and better things. The fact is that we are incredibly lucky to have a player of his talent and ability and it was always going to be a short-term thing. I'd go as far as to say that, from a technical point of view, he is the most talented player we have had for a good 15-20 years. Losing him halfway through the season while we have our best shot at promotion to the Championship in years could be catastrophic so I'd like to think our Chairman recognises that and rejects all offers.

He is contracted until the end of 2016 season so no pressing need to sell him, Power knows that promotion is worth about 5 to 6 million to us so I really cannot see us jeopardising that for a short term gain. He will definitely go in the summer promotion or not.

Jack Stephens extends loan to the end of the season from Southampton , the lad is pure class and surely would be one we should be looking to buy if we go up.

It's a deal. We'll have him.

Joking aside I reckon that is the sort of figure Power would hold out for in January Window we really do not need to sell at the moment if we don't go up that is a different story

According to Alan Biggs who works for the Sheffield Telegraph.

Doyle update: Understand Millwall (& Derby) retain interest - & that Preston made a bid which #cfc rejected. Like #sufc, yet to follow up...
