I thought he deserved another deal as a back up RB here. Played a few games early in the season due to injury and was a little suspect. Played at the end of the year and was much improved. Has a lot of pace and gets forward well. Can be suspect with his positioning on occasions, benefits from having a vocal CB next to him. Think he is a good back up and could develop into a starter.

7 goals in 40 plus games last season. Is that the sort of ratio we are looking for? Will never knock Pope for what he did at Vale (even though I never rated him as highly as some Vale fans) but I wouldn't want him back now
