Bit more on Vaughan, 18 month contract and Sky say the fee was “in the region of 300k”. My guess is we’ve paid much less than that up front, but have a massive promotion add on which will bump the fee up to that mark. Apparently Vaughan has taken a big pay cut to come (I bloody hope so anyway because he was on 15k a week at Sunderland). He’s a smart cookie though, he knows Sunderland have a big chance of going down and has virtually ensured himself another shot at the Championship next season with this move.

Possible but I would expect over £1m as a fee. Doesn't seem the type to make it public though unless his agent is that way instead.

Looks like we're signing Joe Pigott from Maidstone. Played in the league before but not done much by the look of it.

Hmmmm.

Good luck with that one.

Apparently had a bid turned down by Rochdale for Joe Bunney and also going after Van Veen from Scunny. Desperately need a striker.

Bunney hasn't been a striker for a while, he's been a converted left back for at least a season now.

Any Blackburn fans fancy a chuckle then hop onto “Claret and Banter”. Bradford fans not happy about our new strikers, whining about parachute payments and both of us buying promotion. It’ll be hilarious if both Sunderland and Hull drop down and join them.

Sold Lee Frecklington to Lincoln City, great move for them if he stays fit. Bought Smith from Bury as predicted earlier. I hope mr Manager of the Month has a plan in mind here. Wablo credentials increasing daily.

I wouldn't take what is said on there to seriously, I stopped posting on there when people were moaning about there being no hot water in the mens ( no not a joke ).

Regarding parachute payments though, I think we and every other club that didn't receive them have a right to feel a bit aggrieved. If we had received what you had, we could have easily paid our debt and had money for a push to go straight back up, instead we just suffered 2 admins and 6 years in league 2.

Taking a pay-cut from 15k to what I presume is somewhere between 5-10k doesn't seem that smart given his age and injury record.

Quite pleased with the Williams/Knott loan swap.

Not really worked out for either of them at their current club, but both have talent - sensible move both ways round.

Just hope Knott can reproduce his Bradford form. And plays in a midfield three...

Ball retention is his problem, it was no surprise that he dropped down to L2 because he simply gives it away too often, always a great effort from him though.

Two signings for us. Heard we are getting Rouvem Sattlemaier from Bradford and Alfredo Morales from Rangers

Do you want me to drive him there for you? Truly a terrible keeper, I was no fan of Ben Williams but he makes him look like a world beater. Can't see any half decent side being willing to actually pay money for him, but we'll see.

This. Flick after flick. He was the oppositions best player at breaking up our attack at times!

Can we have him back then? He was probably as surprised as anyone when a Championship side came in for him.

I was stewarding at Millwall today. Tom looked so demoralised when warming up on the sidelines. I think he knew that he didn't stand a chance of coming on as a sub.

I too would welcome him back.

So after all the "we aren't selling him", and Scunny telling us they won't come back in with an improved bid looks like McMahon is off there. Not his biggest fan, but he's far better than the kid who played today and we shouldn't be dealing with promotion rivals. Quite ridiculous tbh. We are already massively low on numbers.
