Ditto with Notts County, I reckon the 4000 odd they give you in that away end should be lowered quite a bit taking safety in to consideration due to the abysmal concourse.

Can anybody who's been in a relatively full Field Mill away end (not including the measly 1000 from Notts County) tell me what the concourse area is like?
Never felt inadequate facilities at Mansfield.

That’s strange can’t remember fans complaining about safety fears in the away stand at Notts before this season. What’s changed since last season and the ones before that?

Didn’t hear a peep from Luton, Coventry, Lincoln fans and anyone else when the Jimmy Sirrel was packed.

Has there been a major incident in the concourse? If only there was an annual health and safety test to check these things by an official organisation!

Sorry, my answer was to your question asking what the facilities are like for away fans at FM.

As for our away stand - I think the concourse is the reason why we ‘only’ give 4300 tickets (plus a few knocked off for segregation netting). The stand actually holds 5500.

Yeah it’s fine once you exit the concourse too, it’s just built with a big design flaw due to the small concourse. Much prefer when we had the kop which is a brilliant stand, better than anything Forest can offer!

The argument no accident has happened yet is ridiculous, it’s one waiting to happen, imagine if every one went for the ‘wait till it happens’ philosophy

Yeah it’s called real life, the world we live in Conksz We are predominately a reactive society. Plenty of modern day major incidents are prime examples for you if you need them?!

If you don’t like that argument why has this never been brought up on this forum before? Away fans have had the JS stand for a long time now and this is literally the first I’ve heard of any H&S complaints let alone any actual incident

Next season it won’t be an issue anyway so not need to fret.

1500 sold for Oldham. 200 tickets left and then 700 available on the day. Looks like we’ll be taking over 2000.

Looked like a pretty poor following from us today at Stevenage considering our league position, I’d say around 250?

Decent from Mansfield, more than Chesterfield used to bring all be it new ground for them, first Saturday visit in 15 years.

Very good numbers but even at 0-0 I've heard more noise from Crawley.

I'd call it disappointing not decent - under 2 hour trip and challenging for top 3. Perhaps relatively good for them to Vale though? Swindon and Oldham very decent.

Nothing to compare with, last season was a Tuesday so other than Checkatrade they’ve not visited us on a Saturday since 2002.

I’d say it was par.

Not that there was anything to get excited about

Good followings from Oldham and Grimsby considering they are in mid-table.

Bloody hell Rochdale would’ve taken more than that.

We are also mid table and had the same following as Grimsby......

Exeter fans were an odd bunch. Well, the 50 at the back were.

You certainly were not mid-table at kick off, and the Grimsby fans travelled a greater distance......
A whole 30 miles more assuming we were taking the scenic route which is a pain.
I'm not entirely serious btw

I was at the back but furthest away from the main stand so assume I am immune.
There is some talk on our forum of unacceptable chanting but I didn't hear any of it so can't really comment. I did shout at your number 6 for going down like a sack of spuds to gain a free kick. BTW you lot seemed very anxious to get decisions going your way, like having a throw in over turned when our player moved 2 yards forward.
