Incredibly last time we went up we came top of the aways despite Bradford making the playoffs.
Presume a lot of Midlands and North west were in that season as we don't travel anything more than 2 hours .
We took 3700 to Wycombe I remember for the promotion clincher.
We'll be well and truly mid table ish in the followings this year

They have 3 rounds in the FA Cup?

We’re first round non league fodder these days. We’ll be available.

I assume the Bradford away allocation is massive? If we are doing well, considering we are missing our usual 5,000 at Notts County, plus over the past two seasons we have lost other well followed games in Chesterfield, Lincoln etc I imagine that will be our biggest turnout this season.

Just checked and annoyingly Oldham and Salford away are on Tuesdays!

I reckon Bradford and Plymouth will be top two by a considerable distance.

Aye, think we only averaged about 1,000 that season. In all fairness, it was an incredibly expensive season for us. We were doing well in the league, then we got to the Cup final; then the play-off final. Sure we played about 65 games that season. Mammoth effort. Wembley twice in a season - good times.

We generally allocate up to 3,100 at Valley Parade. 4,300 in the cup!

That was the reason for my WOW, not brought that many to Vale in about 5 matches combined.
Huge following for them

There has been a suggestion that a very large proportion of the boro’ away following were ground hoppers doing the ‘92’ again by ticking moor lane as a FL ground at the first opportunity

It actually was a very Southern league that season. Burton was close but other than that the usual locals Crewe, Notts weren’t there.

Took around 700 plus to places like Gillingham and Barnet then a couple of 3000s last two always. Amazing what a decent side scoring loads of goals can do! What a season that was! Sernwa losing his shit when we smacked them 6-2 then claiming revenge would be served only for us to do them 2-1 away! The Burton 7-1 and Fleetwood 5-2 away. Beating Gills away in the top of the league tie. Miss you Micky Adams!

That would make sense. We took 700ish there for a televised midday kickoff season-opener last year, so I was stunned that Stevenage nearly matched it.

Cheers, it did seem totally disproportionate given it was on telly and the kick off time.
Do they actually take 600 to say even Northampton !!!

So all in for a 25% cut in the official Stevenage following?

I’m sure we had sold out ages ago mind, but OS has just confirmed all tickets sold for Grimsby next weekend - over 1,800. It never quite reached general sale.

Should be a decent awayday.
I had heard you sold them all in 15 seconds.

Maybe Scunny aren’t releasing the away attendance cos it will show up how shite their home fans attendance was.

By my calc they had about 3,500 home fans. Very L2.

So Bradford have sold out the 1800 but F-I-R-T-H-Y will still claim that there were 3000 Bradford there. :bg:

Strange comment.
Really?
So you never used to dispute Bradford’s away figures in League 1 by showing photos of away ends and claiming that there were way more Bradford fans there than stated?
Sorry I must be confusing you with a different Bradford fan called F-I-R-T-H-Y then. :ohy:

It’s amazing how this still goes over people’s heads. :ffs:

The vast majority of the time I was on a windup. This started back in 2008 when Rochdale threatened to take legal action - and it carried on from there.

But yeah, I’m sure I’ll have grounds to question the away following when the allocation has sold out. Makes sense I suppose.

‘Course you were .... :2thumb:
I thought that by putting this :bg: at the end of my post about you saying 1800 was actually 3000 would’ve made it obvious I was just messing about.

They walk around with targets on, but yes still a firm favourite.
Thing is you only get one shot with a Stag. Apart from that little patch of turf next to the Trent, they keep themselves happy rutting in their home range. They rarely venture outside it when the going gets tough, especially in the harsh winters of the east coast...a bit like an Imp really.
