Dale were allocated 650 tickets, which sold out. Official away attendance per Harrogate was 648 (I assume the other two overdosed on cake at Betty's). An unknown number in the home areas, as well.Rochdale were given 628 tickets which sold out. Estimated 100-125 Crawley at Hartlepool.
Pre match cakes and coffee in betty's cant wait for harrogate away, if we're allowed to go lolDale were allocated 650 tickets, which sold out. Official away attendance per Harrogate was 648 (I assume the other two overdosed on cake at Betty's). An unknown number in the home areas, as well.
In recent years our away support has not been as good granted but thats due to the total lack of enthudiasm from long suffering fans, even taking 1200ish last season would be deemed low by me.To be fair, I think there are some exaggerations going on in terms of what we’d have taken ordinarily. 2k tops I think - we never travel very well to Bradford for some reason. Regardless, for Oldham to only ask for 1k and to still not have put them on sales is either gross incompetence or a calculated f*** you from the owners. Knowing them, it’s probably a bit of both.
Some Dale fans bought tickets in the home end as they were unable to get theirs in the 45 mins it took to sell them.Out of 1800 in total
It was Harrogate's first ever game in the FL with fans allowed in. One wonders how many home fans will be there for a November Tuesday night v Crawley or similar...I think it was Southport who used to regularly post sub 1,000 attendances when they were in the FL.Some Dale fans bought tickets in the home end as they were unable to get theirs in the 45 mins it took to sell them.
We have been given an initial allocation of 2800 for Port Vale. Cant see us getting close to that. I reckon about 1600.
I don’t like to knock a small club, Dale have been the butt of enough snidey jokes over the years. But it’s not a wild estimate to say there were 1000 Dale fans there on Saturday. Nearly every Dale fan I spoke to was going in the home end. So 800 odd actual home fans and that’ll include ground hoppers desperate to get there to tick it off the 92, local-ish fans of teams like Leeds on a day out just going for a game and general bandwagonners finally able to take in Harrogate’s (kind’ve) first EFL game. Barring promotion form, which I’d be surprised Harrogate get, or playing an attractive opponent (Bradford for them?) attendances usually drop after a few weeks. If so I can’t see how their model is sustainable long term? Anyway, cup tomorrow at Harrogate again. Hopefully slightly less sardine tin like in the away end. I’d guess we’ll take about 350. No one can really be bothered going back again. After tomorrow I doubt I’ll rush back there, sadly, a truly crap place to watch a game.It was Harrogate's first ever game in the FL with fans allowed in. FFS - you'd have thought they would be desperate to get folk into the ground! Was debating going to Colchester on Saturday then saw the instructions for how to buy a ticket, 6 of us can’t be arsed for that admin

Good following from Rovers, don’t want to get all Lincoln city and talk about home crowds too but it was a good turnout all round and a even better atmosphere yesterday.

Ended up going in the home stand with one mate, after our tickets allocation sold out quickly. I'd estimate at between 50-100 Dale dotted around in home areas...absolutely no trouble whatsoever...they were a good bunch in the main. How it should be. Apart from the dickhead in the Dale end who lobbed a flare onto the pitch when we equalised, and this wasn't removed for 7 minutes, during which time Harrogate reorganised and stopped the momentum that we had.Dale were allocated 650 tickets, which sold out. We have been, slowly, getting more people going to away games. The supporters club do a great job with GH coaches and a few more travelling on trains etc. It helps that we are putting up more of a fight away from home (this game excepted) as travelling to watch us lose all the time can really dampen your resolve.Yeah it seemed a lot more than Crawley would normally bring? Suppose 18 months of watching streams has had an uptick on attendance all round.
pity - you might have come on the one day a month when the suns shining....Think tonight could be our first sub 100 away attendance for years.
Barrow on a tuesday night is hardly an appealing prospect, add the fact its the cup and the general apathy surrounding the club makes for not many people wanting to go.
