Am I right in thinking that the old away end, is the stand opposite - with yellow seating? Doesn’t that stand hold slightly more than the current away end?

The one opposite with yellow seating is the Quarry Lane End, which did use to be the away end, but SAG and police made the club change it. The North Stand that is the current away end is Mansfield traditional ‘Kop’ although it’s lost that tradition due to the swap and the redevelopment of the ground, it used to be a superb terrace full of absolute nutters basically.

Quick search suggests the actual number of seats in the North is 1918 and QLE 1968.

I accidentally broke a seat at Orient once, it literally disintegrated in my hand as I was leaning on it waiting to leave the ground. That's probably why!!
Not to reinforce casual stereotypes the rest of the country has about us folk from Merseyside or anything, but I've had the back of a seat from Orient in my house since circa 2014...

A rather angry chap behind me kicked my seat in what can only be described as relegation induced fury, so I picked it up and strolled out of the ground with it at full time. Haven't been back since, I may return it next time I do.

The seats in our away end and that stand as whole have been replaced with better ones at the end of the 2013/14 season - so they don't break like they used to! The stand as whole was cleaned up earlier this year during the lockdown. The roof has been replaced and apparently the facilities cleaned up as well.

The reason they were replaced in 2014 was because I think that season 5 aways followings damaged seats in that stand. They were so old so was never a suprise to me to see them being broken week after week - we won alot of games that season too at home :D

Holds closer to 1,800 but we ain’t allowed to allocate that many I don’t think.

Wonder how many don’t show up? You’ll get the proper figure with 10/15 minutes to go. There’s always a few tickets not getting used which is annoying.
I’d guess over 50 don’t maybe more, I’ve already seen a good few trying to flog their tickets on Twitter today always happens. I’m going to guess 1,605 show up.

1051 from Rovers. I thought they were given 1300 and sold out so quite surprised.
Most stayed till the end, good effort.

2429 at Scunny today, our lowest crowd since 2013.

I suppose that's what 3 seasons are constantly losing does.

How many from Sutton? Is that your lowest home fan numbers since then? We've had a couple of midweek games in our darkest times that have been down at that level. We've not had an attendance starting with a 1 since an end of season game in 1969 when we applied for re-election. SUFC had alot of sub 2k attendances int he mid 70s IIRC.

Wasn't announced but looked about 100, it's our lowest attendance since a game in 2013. We haven't had a lot of sub 3k attendances in the league over the past 10 years, it's just really dark times at the football club right now.

It's hard say as they were all spread out across the away end at stevenage but if I had to guess I'd say 400 vale fans at stevenage.

80 more tickets were made available to Carlisle this morning for our match on Saturday. I've no idea why they weren't given the full amount to start with.

So the full allocation then, what a weird thing to hold back 80 tickets, it was probably the amount of broken seats Carlisle left last time they were here.

So still missing official away fan figures for

Barrow at Harrogate (est. 300?)
Sutton at Scunthorpe (est 100?)
Port Vale at Stevenage (est 450?)

anybody seen the official figures for any of these three games.

Stevenage haven’t given out any number for our away following on Saturday. Only announced the home attendance. As Andy says above its difficult to gauge as we’d pretty much spread out all over the stand but would say his estimate seems about right.

Usually sponsors not taking up their free tickets and in our case I think they put the unsold corporate tickets on general sale if nobody's bought them.
