One of those temporary stands that end up becoming permanent in the away section to increase capacity and then some further seating being installed at the end we can't currently use to get us to the required number of seats. I really don't think there's much we can do with the ground due to limited room other than demolish and rebuild the main admin building, but that holds all the offices/changing rooms etc.

If anything I'd imagine we will just be doing what we need to do Accy style.

Any 4 figure following to a pre-friendly is madness and a level of fandom/insanity/boredom I just don't have in my locker. Fair play, Bantams. What's the relationship like with BPA?

I think it’s friendly as with any other local non league club we play in pre season, except for Halifax when police made it be played behind closed doors so we don’t play them anymore.

BPA get around 500 at home I believe and I know a few are just City fans who go watch some non league football when we’re not on or away. I remember they used to play a lot of Monday night games when I went to a few but I don’t bother anymore. No segregation and by the looks of it everyone had a decent time, fullest it’s ever looked(which I know is stating the obvious as it was a record crowd for them). I’d be interested to get them in the FA cup some time see if the atmosphere is a bit more erm partisan or if it’s just a case of there aren’t any genuine BPA fans and it’s literally just a second club for City fans.

Sounds very much like Grimsby/Cleethorpes to be fair, albeit on a larger scale. They beat Alfreton to get into the final round of FA Cup qualifying last year and I think pretty much all Town fans wanted to face them but it wasn't to be.

Oh we know all about that WYP/Halifax Safety Advisory Group combo. They restricted us to 1200 tickets for our Boxing Day match at their place last season when we probably would have easily more than doubled that.

York City 1-4 Bradford City

Att: 2,411 (938 Bantams).

Seems a couple of hundred didn’t bother going. Although, the weather being like it was, you can’t blame ‘em.

Did you get loyalty points for that game? Seems since the system was introduced last season we’ve had a few ‘sell outs’ then less have turned up, wonder if people just buy a ticket for the points.

No - because all tickets were purchased through York’s website, no loyalty points have been distributed.

I wasn’t going to attend the game on Tues against Sunderland, but I might have to now.

I attended the game against Derby and I’m still yet to receive the loyalty points for that. Any idea when these are updated?

I attended and haven’t either so not sure, I’ve already got a Sunderland ticket but not sure if I can even go yet. Hope I still get the points.

Not set in stone every match, but our chief exec did an interview with Radio Humberside and said that away allocation at Blundell Park will be 1200 this season.

I'd assume if we increase it for anyone it'll be you lot, Donny and Mansfield looking at some of their followings last season. Will be more difficult than previous for you to get seats in the home end if you've had to do that before. I think you can blame a mixture of ST sale increases and us having our away allocations slashed a few times last season for this allocation reduction.

T’was tongue in cheek, but there was a good 50-100+ in the main stand next to the away end last time we visited.

I like Grimsby away, but getting tickets is gonna be joke - as per most away grounds this season.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of slashing away allocations especially if there are empty seats in the home end so I feel you. I'll be in that boat with us a fair bit next season, but it's definitely a lot worse for you.

Wrexham was fair enough, they filled the rest of the ground, Notts was pathetic - limited to 2k in a stand that holds 4k, then having the cheek to throw me, my wife and daughter out the home end...

Interestingly, I attended tonights friendly against Sunderland and I couldn’t help but notice that the seats have been stripped from the lower tier of the Bradford End. Not sure whether they’re being replaced or what, but if they aren’t, the max away allocation this season will be 1,900ish, not 2,750.

Safe standing perhaps, who knows.

EDIT: it seems they’re just repairing the foundations. Once completed, seats in the lower tier will be reinstalled and capacity back up to 2,750.

A bit surprised our hordes of new ST holders haven't snapped up all the Orient tickets ("the Bradford effect"), they are going to make Trust member and probably general sale; still expect to sell out - even if it's London Mariners bringing along their mates at a tenner a go.

Tbf I don’t think our increase in fan base helped our away following much, probably made it look shitter from a home v away percentage point of view. Sure you’ll get the odd one who’ll get the live football itch and want to go home and away, but many season ticket holders at all clubs just have to many priorities and can only just about make home games.

Yes - our Sunday Times video stars - the alleged coke-snorting, pissed at 9 am on cheap lager, train window pissing, 5th-Tier-football-disgrace fans at Notts were not STH...

Sounds like they’d get on with our coke snorting lot, we’ve had to double our police bill next season because of it.

And the Sunday Time piece exaggerated it all of course - in fact a simple bit of police action at Gy station - use the sniffer dogs before they got on the train instead of at Notts, and an extra carriage on the trains that morning would have dealt with the problem without any histrionics

AFCW have only just sent us tickets for the opening day (any explanation for this wombles?), bit disappointing as it’s one of very few localish games

£25 a pop as well for adults. Not great.

The club have decided that because of the late arrival of the tickets (they weren't even sure if they'd have them today (Friday)), they'll be going directly onto General Sale. Not sure I agree with that, there should always be a window for ST holders first IMO, but with the tightness of actually receiving the tickets and the short window to get them on sale and sent out so they definitely arrive by next weekend, I can sort of see why they've done it.

Not great from Wimbledon all round to be honest, although it throws a bone to our section of fans who can't stand anything to do with the club, so that's nice for them.
